all of the publicity is due to two facts:
1.free airdrop-everybody likes free money
2.ability to be mined with GPUs and tales about true decentralisation aka "what Satoshi wanted"

in reality it is a very underprepaired project with a motley crew team
I doubt it will be a success,but if it gives you something for free,take it and run Cheesy

p.s. currently at 0.075 BTG for one bitcoin at Yobit (yes yes I know,Yoshit and all)

Hat would be a nice addition for the t-shirt as we may use it for several days longer than t-shirt before washing time

The only problem is about the shipping fees as it might be more expensive than the souvenir. If shipping fee is not a big problem then you can make an official stake sticker which is cheaper than t-shirt.
