Basically this is why I quit the chat function as well, and expecting any rain along with it. Could happen, it's okay, some likes chatting, some just want to go down the business right away.

I think he said... they do not want players just claiming their "base" amount every week.. without gambling, so they will reduce the "base" amount, if people continue using just their money to gamble.

Actually he didn't say they reduced the base amount but more that they raised the amount you have to wager to receive the base amount.
For example for many players it was enough to wager like 1-1.5k to receive the base amount. According to some member in the stake forum it is around 2-3k now, according to different sources.

Anyway, they reduced the amounts if its not "enough" wager, not good news for the members and yet another blow. Kiss

The bad thing is, they can actually do that because they know the member keep playing and wo't go somewhere else because they still offer more incentives than other sites.
If this goes on of course and some new competitor enters the ring with similar bonus offers this downsizing of rewards can make them lose customers in the long run.

Stake management is really smart I think.
In the past people gambled for 2 reasons, make money (back) or entertainment.

Stake changed the game totally. Now players gamble to make money and entertainment but more to get rain / meeting requirements for bonus drops that are tiny compared to their losses / get a new VIP level to get a reward which is tiny compared to their losses / wager for weekly/monthly bonuses which is tiny compared to their losses .

See where I'm going? Players are crazy nowadays. They justify losses by saying "at least I got wager" .

Really, I bow to stake for messing up the psychology or gambling, just amazing.

I didn't know anything even remotely like this could ever happen during rains. Or does it? Has something like this ever happened before in any chat? Most rain i've got in random chat was something worth $0.50.

I know some rich twitter users like cobie occasionally tipping insane amounts to random people and early days of bitcoin some fresh millionaires were throwing money around but that's it, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind that this could happen in chat rains.

When faucethub was still online, their chat was very active and surprisingly fun to participate, a lot of users received nice amounts of rain. I remember receiving 100s of DOGE regurlaly as well as 1 mbtc or higher. A real shame that this site ceased to exist.

The fact is that the number of Stake users is increasing day by day and I think there are still many users who do not know about the rules to get the rain so they keep trying to chat as much as possible that lead into more spams. Adding more moderators/admins also wont be something effective if we look at how fast the chat is running especially at the time there is a nice rain.

Since $10k is not a huge amount, it won't take long to meet the wagering requirements. It can be completed very easily in seven days in relax way. Because wagering $10,000 in multiple bets is possible very quickly. But I don't think there is any justification for panic gambling to meet this requirement. He should play the game for fun in the normal way with a cool head, in this case his requirement will be fulfilled automatically.

@Mahdirakib disabling the chat is a bad idea, because you’ll see that so many regular users interact there and it’s more than just rains in the chat as it’s a place to express yourself hence I don’t think they’ll ever disable the chat. Lastly while increasing the minimum wagering requirement to $10k won’t entirely solve the problem, but it’s not a bad idea if it can help reduce the spam percentage then Stake should try and implement it and see how effective it is.
