But here I will give a little of my thoughts on your response.
If Stake.com currently provides KYC requirements for a drop bonus then it is at their discretion because the drop bonus is obtained for free and only requires KYC requirements and is different from the weekly or monthly bonuses that stake customers can claim when they have have a high enough wager amount that their account reaches the VIP level at a certain rank.
At the VIP level it's also not easy to win because each user must meet the wagering requirements that have been determined and require a large amount of money to bet to increase the wager amount.
So it seems unlikely that a weekly or monthly bonus on Stake.com will be subject to KYC requirements because the bonus is a right and a form of appreciation from Stake.com to loyal customers who have managed to have a top ranking account.

Let's say KYC is now a requirement, where these users you are referring to will experience the same bonus as what Stake is giving especially in their VIP program? I don't think there's another crypto-gambling site that is close to what Stake is giving to their users especially loyal ones regardless if these players are winning or losing much.

I'm sure KYC might be mandated in the future, due to hard and strict regulations for any crypto-related services, to claim these bonuses. Well that's a fair point, but i am quite certain that they need to follow EU's general data protection regulation for European users. Meaning that at least european users would have "right to erasure" (to get their personal data erased by request) if you start to feel uncomfortable that they will be online forever. I am not a lawyer but that's what i understood from GDPR docs.

I am a lost case as my ID is most likely already compromised. I've shared my KYC to some seriously shady ICOs back in time and i am sure that my IDs are part of some darknet sale.

If the users are not claiming the bonus then there is nothing to worry, most of the time they wanted to make sure that the giveaways are not abused by multiple accounts and there are not much trusted casinos in this space to switch them every week as majority of the regulated ones will be asking to verify yourself before playing especially the fiat ones.

We got the same email on my girlfriends account on the same date. It saying:

"Verifying opens doors for you:

-Increased bonus drops
-Exclusive promotions
-The safest way to play"

Increased bonus drops is what they promised last year ( by 10-15% ) and I only felt it was higher for about 3 months with my verified account. After that it clearly went back to normal. Now the bonus amounts have decreased rapidly over the past year anyway.

Exclusive promotions only means for example the twitter giveaways or stream bonus drops, also not interesting in my eyes.

Could you elaborate on that? What's the downside of filling level 2 KYC?
I would understand this with unknown casinos where you don't know where it will end up but with legit casinos i see only upside of keeping your account safe.
And it's not like we are going back to times without kyc anyway when we are dealing with legit casinos.

As if you don't live places that are embarged you need to follow aml laws to keep your money. And if you live on those embarged countries, then kyc doesn't really help your case anyway. As your accounts wlll get eventually closed if you get caught, no matter what casino you are using.

Even though it would be great for some people about KYC lv 2 there, but even though Stake isn't too strict about it why should he force it. You can be an american living in london, there is really nothing that stops you from gambling in london just because you are american. So that means you could give your ID and so forth, and join from another nation due to VPN (actually login from your own nation but because of vpn it looks different) and you could be seen as still legit if you shared your real information and not a fake one.
