I remember they once did a million dollars, that was a real big deal, a million dollars given for that month was the biggest amount of money ever given to any gambler, of course it was distributed among many people, not just a single person, but it was still a huge amount.
There are of course times Stake does a lot more, but these days they are in trouble with streaming, I am sure after they fix that, and find a place, and they are legally sound again, they will go back to doing something big again. Plus we are in the bear market right now in crypto, when the prices start to go up again, they will have more money to give away in the future as well.
They recently celebrated their 5th birthday and hosted a 5 million dollar race. While that is a massive amount to give away, it was a wagering contest so you needed to wager a couple of 100k to end up in the top 5000.
. So, I understand people who confuse it as well because I have confused it at times as well.
