The Basketball action at #Tokyo2020 is set to go off!

Earn Double Winnings on all #Olympics basketball matches if your selection scores 100 points (men's), or 90 points (women's), and goes onto win the match

https://promotions.stake.com/olympic-basketball-double-winnings/

That is a cool promotion.  I might have to toss a few bits on the Americans and see if the men and women's teams can live up to their reputation.  I think the exhibition stuff was a fluke and when medals are on the line the United States teams will step up, but we'll see.  International competition has grown so much since the Dream Team days that I think it won't be long before the US team is no longer considered the favorite.

yeah this cool promotions give gamblers other ways to stake their bets, I'll going to follow you, Knowing that Americans are capable of covering that numbers and have the better chance of winning the game.

Those exhibitions shows something that US teams needs to work more, after losing two games we can say that international competitions are now more different from those last few decades.

The challenged for team US will getting tougher from time to time. Good Luck!

Sa Watford changed sponsorship from Sportsbet to Stake but they remained in crypto betting space, and I think this is first Premier Lague sponsorship for Stake.
I must say that I liked their old shirt design more but I guess they received offer from Stake that couldn't refuse (terms of the deal were not disclosed) Smiley

So how may of the Olympic games are going to be covered for some betting action? I can only see Soccer and Beach Volleyball and not the other Sports? I seriously want to see 7's Rugby and Boxing and Gymnastics.

I wonder what will happen with the team Sports when there are a Covid positive case in the team? (Sure all the other team mates has to go into isolation and how will this influence the betting, if they are pulled from the games?)  Huh

Other then that we have Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball 3x3, Canoeing, Cycling, Diving, Equestrian, Field hockey, Golf, Handball, Marathon Swimming, Modern Pentathlon,  Rowing, Rugby Union Sevens that you asked for, Skateboarding, Softball, Surfing, Swimming, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball, Waterpolo, Weightlifting, Wrestling and many more Smiley

Here is the link to Rugby Sevens - https://stake.com/sports/rugby/featured

Is this what you are referring to @DusanD? I just noticed this new sponsorship/partnership with Watford FC on the landing page.
Stake is now expanding the marketing into soccer world especially in England Premier League as the main sponsor of Watford FC.
Good news obviously and I think players are now hoping to get bonus code as the celebration for this new sponsorship like what they did when they announced Israel Adesanya as the brand ambassador. Smiley

Yes, I was referring to that! Smiley

It's massive.

Stake signed a sponsorship deal with Watford.

You can read all about it here :

P.S. Never needed to do KYC and I've had my account for a really long time. Not sure what everyone's on about?
Basically Stake making the situation complicated by offering extra bonuses to verified (level 1 KYC) users. In last 10 days, I have received two emails from Stake where they offered extra bonuses for verifying my account. Although the verification is optional and I'm not going to do it. I'm playing at Stake since last three years and they never asked me to verify my account.

I see, thanks for the clarification. Just checked my inbox and didn't see any emails, so I guess it's been a selective process. Maybe it's something to do with me not being very active in Casino for over a year, moving almost all of my betting chiefly to Sports now. Will likely only verify if needed, it's always a question of how much I need to (I've definitely chosen to verify at services I see myself using in future).

On to all those Olympics promotions then;)

Once again about "if stake making enough profit" thing Cheesy. But if that 14+ thing is not really making you guys a profit and ends up being something that bleeds out money for you guys, I do not think that you should continue that next season during regular season if you are going to end up losing money constantly. I get that you are happy that we like it, but we would also like to be given one million dollars as well, will you do that? Obviously not, you can't just do what gamblers want at all times, there is a balance between what is good for the gamblers and what is good for stake and you need to find that middle ground.

I believe this 14+ thing will make you lose way too much money and should not be available by the start of next season in NBA which is months away but it is still good to decide on what you are going to do before hand.
Are you sure you're gambling at Stake TheGreatPython? I doubt you are a regular gambler there, otherwise you wouldn't say that IMO. The last time I got this bonus I got back 0.00324btc while I had lost 0.00545 so I don't think it's ruining Stake. I rather think you belong to an adversary sportsbook not being able to compete against Stake and you pray for seeing them becoming less competitive Tongue

It is not mandatory and I'm quite sure there are still many players with big bets that have not completed any KYC but Stake tries to make players do KYC by offering some bonuses to those who want to complete KYC.
Example from the VIP forum challenge, anyone who have completed verification level 1 will get 10% extra reward, level 2 100% extra reward and level 3 150% extra reward.
The bonuses applies almost in all available promotions so basically it is a very good offer to anyone who are OK with KYC.
It is not mandatory in certain situations and I agree with that logic, it should not be forced to people and unfortunately we are seeing more and more places start forcing KYC to people which is a damn shame, I rather not give my information to any place as long as I can avoid it, why would I basically declare to the whole world about where I gamble and how much I gamble and what I gamble basically everything about me, even on exchanges it was a hard move towards KYC but now we are basically forced everywhere so I can't do much.

In other news we are talking about still not being able to participate in many things unless we give our KYC which is still not a good deal, I rather have some of my privacy kept while still enjoying gambling but it is getting harder and harder, I can probably just gamble regular games without anything else, but then I am missing out on so many promotions here as well.

Dude everyone saying "KYC is not mandatory" no need to worry.

Even they started to make KYC is mandatory then feels free to leave no need to force yourself to do that, they ask but the only one who does that is you so you are the person who controls that. If he doesn't mind doing that, then that was good for him means they have a good experience with the site may be the reward is not worth for you but for the user who has big wagering amount maybe more than 200,000$ or even half-million $ wagers, 10% is good chunk money.

I have been playing on stage for over two years now and I must say I have not hard any issues and stake have not been accessed for any fraud-related issues, and if the stake team require KYC for some transaction on the platform then I will provide KYC documents for verifications.
That is your opinion and is perfectly understandable since this is a trustworthy site which has proven its reliability over the years, but there is a big section of gamblers including me who adamantly oppose any form of KYC.

Bonuses, promotions etc are basically different ways to tempt you to provide your KYC. The risk vs reward isn't worth it to me in this case which is why I ignore these temptations.

I think the reason why a lot of people prefer to gamble at Stake and not at some of these other casinos ...are their relaxed view on KYC verification... The whole point of KYC verification is to identify people that are using casinos for criminal actions and Stake are monitoring people's accounts for that in any way.

The only way to launder "dirty" money... is to withdraw it.. so if you just deposit money and you play, without any funny business.. then no red flag will be raised.... but if you are pushing lots of money through your account and hardly gamble and then withdraw it.... then your account will be flagged. (Or... if you have multiple Alt accounts linked to your main account and you pushing money through them)

Some people just want their private details to be private.... even if they are playing from a legal location. (Identity theft is a real problem and KYC documents can be used on other sites)

Suspicious actions under your account will trigger any casino to freeze and ask for verification, not new to every casino owners as they needed to make sure that their business are safe with those money launderer.

The government is asking for this and the owners needs to comply if in any how there's something bad or something that the team
are seeing with the movements of your accounts.

But if there's none and you are just enjoying then nothing to fear as Stake won't harmed your account.

Can someone from Stake.com give some clarification on the status of KYC verifications on the site? Is it mandatory? Is there a certain deposit/withdrawal threshold that must be reached in order to trigger verification? What happens in the event that a player cannot (or refuses to) verify their account?

I've been getting a lot of questions about this lately, but I'm not really sure how to answer. Any help would be appreciated!
Based on my experience, Stake only asks for KYC related to certain promotions and they inform you beforehand without playing any sort of tricks or anything.

I was never asked to submit my KYC so far(Am a small-scale gambler) and I have been playing here for sometime now. Also, they will require KYC if they find something suspicious just like any other crypto gambling site(Listed in their T&C).
