I think the reason why a lot of people prefer to gamble at Stake and not at some of these other casinos ...are their relaxed view on KYC verification... The whole point of KYC verification is to identify people that are using casinos for criminal actions and Stake are monitoring people's accounts for that in any way.

The only way to launder "dirty" money... is to withdraw it.. so if you just deposit money and you play, without any funny business.. then no red flag will be raised.... but if you are pushing lots of money through your account and hardly gamble and then withdraw it.... then your account will be flagged. (Or... if you have multiple Alt accounts linked to your main account and you pushing money through them)

Some people just want their private details to be private.... even if they are playing from a legal location. (Identity theft is a real problem and KYC documents can be used on other sites)

P.S. Never needed to do KYC and I've had my account for a really long time. Not sure what everyone's on about?
Basically Stake making the situation complicated by offering extra bonuses to verified (level 1 KYC) users. In last 10 days, I have received two emails from Stake where they offered extra bonuses for verifying my account. Although the verification is optional and I'm not going to do it. I'm playing at Stake since last three years and they never asked me to verify my account.

Stake is offering double prize amount (on some giveaways/promotions) to verified member since last few months. But they have started to offer extra amount with weekly and monthly bonus from June month. They clearly said that verification is optional but we know the nature of human. Some people trying to spread that KYC verification going to be mandatory at Stake.

Nope.

KYC is not mandatory as long there is no shady activity on your account, I deposit and withdraw really a lot from them never meet any problem at all. I also agree with @panjul07 say.

Can someone from Stake.com give some clarification on the status of KYC verifications on the site? Is it mandatory? Is there a certain deposit/withdrawal threshold that must be reached in order to trigger verification? What happens in the event that a player cannot (or refuses to) verify their account?

I've been getting a lot of questions about this lately, but I'm not really sure how to answer. Any help would be appreciated!
Based on my experience, Stake only asks for KYC related to certain promotions and they inform you beforehand without playing any sort of tricks or anything.

I was never asked to submit my KYC so far(Am a small-scale gambler) and I have been playing here for sometime now. Also, they will require KYC if they find something suspicious just like any other crypto gambling site(Listed in their T&C).

It is not mandatory and I'm quite sure there are still many players with big bets that have not completed any KYC but Stake tries to make players do KYC by offering some bonuses to those who want to complete KYC.
Example from the VIP forum challenge, anyone who have completed verification level 1 will get 10% extra reward, level 2 100% extra reward and level 3 150% extra reward.
The bonuses applies almost in all available promotions so basically it is a very good offer to anyone who are OK with KYC.

I am so glad that I didn't wagered on that. Plus I was doing hooooorrrible on euros for the longest time, but I got my head straight and wagered on the last 4 bets a lot better and got lucky, it was a horrible fear that I would end up with pure losses but ended up breaking even and even making a tiny profit (nothing much just chump change).

I'd still have taken those wagers any time. And anyone who bet against McGregor would have had the triple winnings too, you just can't ignore good value like that;) August has another big event, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for that.

And the no-risk ones, well, self-explanatory;)

P.S. Never needed to do KYC and I've had my account for a really long time. Not sure what everyone's on about?

Anyway, Stake tried so hard to get accounts verified Cheesy
Road to mandatory KYC? I hope not.

Its been a while since Stake offers extra bonuses for players who want to do verification level 1-2, but since it is just an offer means that players are still free whether to do it or not. I also hope that it will not be a mandatory in the future but for sure we cant hope too much especially when Stake is forced to make it mandatory due to regulation.

Yeah Eddie tips have not at all been good for me but have to admit I did not try them all. Odds are good though regardless and the no risk option kind of makes it a no brainer for those who qualify (and it is not really thatich relatively speaking).

Trying to see if I can take advantage of the weekend. Mcgregor killed me and I have yet to fully recover haha.

So just keep it up, I am sure you will either eventually make it back or this is gambling we all know in the long run we all lose, that means we will end up losing eventually and maybe it is your time now, you will eventually recover a bit of it and deposit a bit more and get back to your peak again thanks to those, but losing is part of the game in gambling, we all have to lose according to house edge in order for casinos and books to keep it alive, otherwise they would bankrupt quite quickly if we all kept on winning.

14+ while not super economical has been super popular and we definitely want to keep it going. Crazy that last game it was triggered within the first quarter! Glad you're enjoying these promos, we'll keep them coming!
Once again about "if stake making enough profit" thing Cheesy. But if that 14+ thing is not really making you guys a profit and ends up being something that bleeds out money for you guys, I do not think that you should continue that next season during regular season if you are going to end up losing money constantly. I get that you are happy that we like it, but we would also like to be given one million dollars as well, will you do that? Obviously not, you can't just do what gamblers want at all times, there is a balance between what is good for the gamblers and what is good for stake and you need to find that middle ground.

I believe this 14+ thing will make you lose way too much money and should not be available by the start of next season in NBA which is months away but it is still good to decide on what you are going to do before hand.

It will be nice if stake could have a option where you can see the "highest to the lowest" wins for the day of all players that was reported in the chat. Sometimes people report a big win and everyone is talking about it, but you missed the bet ID that was copied to the chat.... because the "rain farmers" spam the chat... just after the win.

Also, when you come online, you missed most of the action when you were at work or out doing something ....so it will just be nice to login and then see what wins was reported for the last ...say 8 hours or 16 hours.... etc. (It can even just keep the bet ID of the 50 biggest wins of the day)  Huh

It cannot be that difficult to develop something like that? (They can even reward the Top 10 biggest hits of the Day, based on these logs...so it will encourage people to post their winning Bet ID's) - biggest = biggest multiplier.. not amount won.  Wink

I have been playing on stage for well over two years now and have not had any issue depositing and withdrawing I also like the fact that stake has dedicated support who are ready to assist at every point in time.
Hope the new KYC will not be mandatory for all users.

Lol yeah, there are many non VIP, bronze, silver, who got busted but seems no one talk about it (because it isn't interesting). Our eyes focus on those who win, then try to find a pattern.

Now I am speaking to the higher level players from Stake now..... (Platinum and up) .... Did your win percentage drop when you leveled up to higher levels? I can remember lots of $100+ wins on $0.10 and $0.20 and $0.25 bets when I was Non VIP to Silver.... but since I reached Gold and Platinum... I hardly ever see any $100+ wins...? ((The Fire is Gone))

Is this just my imagination .... or do you have the same experience? (Some of my friends are still Bronze and Silver and they regularly send me brag screen grabs of their $100+ wins....)  Sad

Stake is still a awesome site, but I am just worried that my VIP upgrades will reduce my winning Huh

Our VIP rank has nothing to do with our luck, so it is completely your own feeling because you have better luck in the past than the current time.
It is basically common thing, as we all know that there are many people says "when you start gamble for the first time then you'll get more win but you'll get more lost once you do it longer"
My suggestion, try to play other games or try to take a rest for a while to get some relaxation.

I don't think you guys are ready for what is going to happen! Smiley

🐝🐝🐝

I dont think its even worth caring what this "big announcement" is about.

Just another guy who takes your money to promote stake.
When i read from people's prediction on that tweet, many people are assuming if Mike Tyson will be become new Brand ambassador of Stake

Just few days ago Mike Tyson tweetet about which coin you prefer, BTC or ETH? Seems another legendary is interested in crypto world.

At the end of the day, it is a free bet and we don't lose a single cent except the market goes down when we get a refund. For avoiding the market loss, we can bet on the same day when the event occurs and probably the loss will be lower on the last days due to the shorter time frame between event and refund.

Yeah. Regardless of the risks that comes with Eddie's pick, the beauty about it is that it's a risk free bet with guaranteed refunds whenever it goes south. Even if market losses, I don't think its that big of an issue because even if you held unto those assets and don't place bets with it, you would still risk losing to the market dump. I'm talking from my experience because I've benefitting from one of this risk free bet at stake (Adesanya at UFC 263 main event).
Not always because the maximum limit for the refunds of risk-free bets and other promotions is set in dollars (50$ for the risk-free bets of Eddie) so if your stake is above this limit your refund will be capped at the amount of cryptos corresponding to this limit. Then if the market has gone down you will receive more cryptos.
