I saw some people making crazy bets on France to win against Hungary in EURO 2020, and here are few examples posted in public...
Betting is all fine when you win and when you can control yourself, but it's not great when France plays only 1:1 and you lose a lot of money Smiley
We always see winning tickets and here are some losing tickets for over $474,450 and for 5,000 euro:

Hooooly cow! Someone lost 474k on a bet???!! That is a lot of money man, that is literally enough money for me to retire and never have to work ever again, that is the amount that you can retire and never have to worry about money ever again unless you go buy some super yacht or something, this is just surreal how rich some people are. I am sure that is not all of his money, if it was that was one of the most stupidest things I have seen in my life, I hope that dude had like tens of millions of dollars in order to play such a big bet, if he had less than he risked way too much.

However if you were to wager on any game then this would have been one, we are talking about France versus Hungary here and the result was a shock to the whole world, I was really hoping for a France win and wagered as well but I wagered 20 bucks on it not 474 freaking thousand dollars.

Many lost their money betting for France and there was another match with Spain and those were drawn matches and i have seen huge bets on both these games. What i did was a parlay huge parlay for all the matches with draw or win and i won the bets today as Italy was the last match in my parlay and the bets were not that high but not risky as i was not expecting any upsets but expected a draw in a couple of matches.

Lol what a crazy bets, why in the first place would you bet on a 1.26 odd?! He probably thought this would be an easy win, but in soccer everything can happen.
Also betting on correct score is crazy as this is one of the most difficult markets to bet on.

I agree. For the sake of verification if they happen to find someone who's suspicious and probably taking advantage of the promo then KYC is a must. But if there's no such thing as suspected, there's no need for them to ask for it. They don't ask that usually and that's why there are a lot of satisfied gamblers staying on stake because they're not enforcing kyc for each of their gamblers. Me too, I was never asked to do KYC.

This should really take as necessary by gamblers if they are playing on reputable casino and we need to accept that verification really happen. Also stake will not ruin their reputation for just stealing the identity and players should not be afraid about it since they are well establish casino compare to other gambling site here. Although I understand why people get afraid on identity stealing but those one happen mostly on unreputable site.
Some casinos are even forcing their KYC but it's a different thing at stake. There's no forcing unless you really have to comply and you've seen to have some suspicious activity with your account. But what's good with stake is that if you don't do anything bad, you're not going to have any problems or being asked for the KYC which many don't like.
Also, it has been following an interesting way to make users verify KYC. Users who have done 1st level of KYC will get 10% extra on all form of bonuses. 2nd and 3rd level verified users will get 13% and 15% extra. This is a way better to make users verify.

I'm only thankful that I didn't place a bet on that France vs Hungary match because if I did, I'm very sure I would have taken the moneyline bet on France to win. Why? Hungary is the least strong team in that group and everyone was expecting them to smash Hungary possibly by 2-5 goals but France went 1-0 early on and were only able to get back on money terms. It's good for newbies and beginners alike to know that they can also lose money in gambling. Similar to how traders only show off their winnings while refusing to post about their losses but this gives the newcomers expectations that they can do it too with little to no experience.

Whenever a big teams fails to win an underdog, it generates more losses than wins as people are inclined to bet on favorites rather than underdogs.

@nelson4lov in another thread I said for the next few matches Draw is the best option, but in the end I was unable to back myself and I missed three great draws to make money England, Spain, and France. Furthermore I feel Spain will be eliminated and they deserve to be eliminated for playing such sloppy football, so an interesting choice for those who’re willing to take risk on their next match being a draw too.

Maybe for promos they should ask for KYC but other then that they shouldnt only if they expect that someone is cheating. But as far as i played on stake i have never been asked for KYC but i dont bet there much so i dont have any problems will see once i withdraw something big if they will ask for it
I disagree. They shouldn't ask for KYC pertaining to promos etc unless they find something suspicious which is usually specified in their T&C.

I have never been asked to provide KYC too which was expected. They shouldn't follow sites like Roobet by implementing mandatory KYC. I truly hope this doesn't become a trend in the crypto gambling world.
Unfortunately there are way too many places that are asking for KYC these days and stake will be among them very soon, they will ask for KYC not only for the promotions but for everything, you will not be able to wager without KYC very soon I am afraid. Why? Because they are sponsoring UFC and fighters and have streams of many leagues and when the government asks for customers which they probably will, they will say some of us do not have our KYC and there will be a problem.

I know it hasn't been like that for now but it will definitely become like that in the future when the problem arises. Let's hope that we take advantage of the situation until it happens. Stake has always been a legit place and in order to stay legit they will be forced to basically just keep giving authorities whatever they want, there is no other way around it.

I understand that NBA being live is a great deal but live betting during the game was a very bad situation, I get that when a team is leading by a huge amount that usually means that they will win and the odds drop, but there was no odds for Bucks to win on third quarter, or maybe I couldn't see it, live bet was basically non-existent and I tried to bet with 1.15 odds at some point even though it was way too small that was fine for me at that point but it kept giving errors after errors and it was closed.

I need to remind you that Sixers were up like 25-26 points and ended up losing that game, which means in NBA it doesn't mean just because you have 20+ point lead that should mean you end up winning, there could still be some stuff where you end up losing as well. I personally do not like to see these type of stuff because it makes me get cold feet to play here.

Well, Stake will stand unique with the KYC policy. As you've stated in the quote Stake won't implement mandatory KYC. For Stake KYC free spending is also one of the tagline that has attracted more people towards it from other gambling platforms. As per my understanding Stake will go request for KYC when it finds something suspicious with the account. The trend is regularly getting followed by most of the platforms and hope this won't happen with Stake.
I have not read the TOS yet, but I hope it's stated there to be transparent. I have been using stake and I face no problem, withdrawal and deposit are instant and everything works normally for a casino that offers anonymous gambling. Maybe one day if I won big money and they'll ask a KYC, then I would not hesitate to comply since that's money and I have nothing to hide.

The company has a clean reputation, there's nothing to be worried about.

By the way @stake, I have a question, are you going to put a betting line for Inoue vs Dasmarinas fight?

The Best Tipster on the Forum!!
There is again some interesting promotion to celebrate Israel Adesanya's win at UFC263, so by placing a bet on Marlon Vera to win against Davey Grant this weekend at UFC Fight Night!
He is younger fighter with small reach advantage and bookies favorite to win this fight, but I don't think it will be so easy as offs suggest.
It's going to be random draw and note that there is minimum $5 bet for this promotion, and you can win much more and share $10,000 in Dogecoin with 20 people:
https://promotions.stake.com/10k-dogecoin-drop/

Yes.. It's great, but not good for people who wants to stay private... because they introduced this " Stake reserves the right to perform additional KYC/AML checks as a condition of receiving prize. " as a new requirement to claim the prize. *sad

In any way, I will drop a few Dollars on it .. because I have seen both of them fight and it is going to be a good match up. It will be nice if I win something in the draw... but it is not going to be the reason why I bet on it.  Wink

It is not a new requirement, I do believe they have this requirement since long time ago.
This is just to make sure that anyone is a legit winner (not abusing the promo), but as far as I know there is still no one being asked for KYC to receive the prizes from their similar promotions so far.
I think you are a legit player here in Stake as I have seen you won nice amount from slot game several times.
So I believe you wont be asked for KYC in case you will be one of the 20 winners of the 10k doge promo.

On top of that you can also take advantage of the double winnings promo if you bump up your bet to $10.

Hopefully they do more of these sportsbook lottery promos since I enjoy participating in lotteries and I remember the last time they had a similar promo was during the IPL where you have to place a casino and sports bet at the same time.
I didn't see this promotion, thank you to have highlighted it, well it means there will be 3 matchs offering a double winning bonus tomorrow:
Chan Sung Jung vs Dan Ige
Aleksei Oleinik vs Sergey Spivak
in case your pick wins by KO
https://promotions.stake.com/ufc-main-event-2x-winnings/
and Marlon Vera vs Davey Grant
if Marlon Vera wins his fight by decision or by KO (or by DQ)
