You seem to have misunderstood the issue here. The gambler's balance didn't just magically disappear. Stake froze his account and siezed his funds due to which he created a scam accusation thread against them.

The Stake team is currently investigating the issue. We are talking about 200 grand here which is why this will probably take time to get completely resolved.

Yes, I saw that thread in the gambling section... but take a better look at the above comments, the ones I quoted! It's like someone is creating multiple accounts, or giving a username and password to someone else, who withdraws the money, and then the first guy complains!

As you can see above... "but for some reason their balances vanish via mysterious bets"! It's not a frozen account, frozen balance, funds seized... or anything else!

Yes, it's possible I have misunderstood the situation here, it's why I said I need some clarification... as you can see I imagined something completely different!

I'm jealous! I can feel how crazy it's actually, those who are the real lucky ones. I'm not extremely fortunate, despite the fact that I have had a few games betting victories. It's unfortunate that i have misfortunes in EURO 2020 sports betting. I'm running out money for gambling, due to losing. I have got few victories in sports betting, yet EURO 2020 betting history take the wrong turn in most cases. Congrats who manage victory.

I need a clarification here... so some guy has some balance at Stake. And that balance mysteriously disappears one morning!!! After that, that guy complains and asks for a refund?! Well, this is something new from scammers! Smiley

We don't know the whole story yet but Stunna already replied on that player's thread and they are investigating his case. If the player is confident that he did not violate any of the terms and conditions of stake, for sure, he will get his money back. This is the site where you can see huge amount of money used in betting, and I don't think they will ruin their credibility if it is the fault of the site.

It is always a must to enable 2FA with anything that has connection with cryptocurrency holdings. Even the trusted platforms were cloned and the users were scammed taking the personal credentials along with the security key. So, 2FA is the only way through which security can be made effective.

Of course, 2FA is very important to protect from hackers, but if you look at the matter, it is clear that the problems, in that case, did not happen due to his security reason. He is claiming that his balance has disappeared, but no one has hacked him, but the stake team themselves have compromised the accounts of those users, because he may have broken some rules or been guilty of controlling multiple accounts. Since the Stake support team has taken cognizance of the matter, it is hoped that the matter will be clarified soon.

I like the idea of 2fa on all the sites not only casino sites, because it provides peace of mind knowing my accounts cannot be hacked in case of a data breach. Also as far as the case is concerned I feel we all should stop speculating, and simply wait for team Stake to announce their decision, because the team is qualified enough to deal with this, and I expect more announcements from them soon on this matter.

This is a huge stake and the odds are good and that's why he had bet and followed the news for that match. Although the match was already done and Hawks were already out. Are we going to see the same huge wins as this with the latest match of Hawks and Bucks?
I think that there are also more huge wins that have been done with this last match that has happened.

If one of your customers is using stake.com but for some reason their balances vanish via mysterious bets they are not sure about and they are trying to understand what exactly happened. Wouldn't it be OK to avail them some logs on request by the customer, like this guy's case?

What if the same guy is using multiple accounts, abusing and cheating with creating multiple accounts?
One guy posted few days something similar and he is also using same coin for betting, he has similar writing style and I suspect those are multiple bitcointalk accounts:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/stake-frozen-my-account-181k-from-sports-betting-only-euroswimbledon-5347268
One more of his accounts could be this one:

Coin tracking and chain analytics are very easy this days Smiley

I am not sure how my balance can just vanish?! I never experienced something like that in any crypto casino! And I am here for a long time... Of course, we are talking about trusted places here!

It's simple, use 2FA and you will be safe!

"Investigate" . Why asking for ID verification if there is something else to "investigate".

how do you think they will investigate something if they don't have more information? any investigation is necessary to have a lot of information in order to reach conclusions

If this amount would be withheld from you I doubt you would be calm, 100% sure.

and what would gain from being nervous? nothing! nerves only harm our health, in cases like these it is necessary to stay calm and be patient

Yet more shady stuff every week. Cant wait for all the stake lovers to defend them.

it looks like you have a personal problem with the stake

That is insane! That guy made a ~€14.5k bet and won a 3x odds bet. It was a clean sweep from Atlanta Hawks as they managed to play really well, I didn't think they would win against Bucks whose past performances were so good and also won their last two encounters with Hawks before this match but it cannot guarantee the future so they lost. Kudos to that guy who won more than a btc worth of euros.

Wow so many rish guys on sports, tbh I don't see such huge bets on alternative bookies.
It is kinda cursed to use low odds on the sports section and try to get more VIP perks. It worth chasing the small odss if the weekly wager boost becomes 1:3 compare to the casino wager(1:1). It is true for those who get reloads and the boost is automatically applied on the monthly coupon too. Imagine getting more rewards on the coupons compare to what we get on the small odd winnings. It is fun but very dangerous at the same time for big bets.

Sop talking with this trash, there is a client who has 200k stuck on stake.com
Solve that first before the trashtalk continues.

Is this an Alt account for the same person that reported the locked account on another thread? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/stake-frozen-my-account-181k-from-sports-betting-only-euroswimbledon-5347268

Stunna already said that the Stake Team are looking into this :

While we can't comment publicly with details right now I assure you that our team is looking into this and will remain in touch.

Let's give them the opportunity to investigate the matter and then see if there are any legit reason for doing this. They just paid out over $2 000 000 in Weekly, so $200k is not going to break the House.  Roll Eyes

The weekly is paid, yes. But players lost FAR MORE than that, trust me.

Many people in this forum are already aware of this issue and the Stake team already replied that they are currently investigating it in the scam accusation thread that you are talking about.

I don't think Stake would risk their reputation for 200k which is why they will most likely release the funds as long as the gambler in question didn't do anything illegal.

What goes through your mind when you use it for the first time and don't you feel super scared that there is a good chance they might actually scam you?

I'm not really sure what exactly motivated me to start using the services of Dinabot but my best guess is because it came as a recommendation from people who have used them before. When I learnt of the service, I searched multiple times on stake forum about it and saw that people have actually tried the service and it worked for them. I followed the trail to their bitcointalk thread before deciding to give it a shot. After my first couple of trials ~ first one was with a small amount to test the waters, I didn't have trust issues using the service. Its a good service especially for small-medium scale users.  I dunno if stake will bring such service back but until then, I'll patronize them.

I'm always skeptical when trying out new stuffs too. It's the same way I waited for a while ~ 1-2 months after binance launched before I registered and started using their exchange. Imo, at some point, you'll have to take calculated risks with money you won't have problem losing just to test the water.

^^Did this million dollar thing actually made you guys profit or something? Cheesy I mean it is a million dollars, it is a ton of money, I do not remember any place to give away a million dollars before and now we are talking about the same thing once again which will make it two million dollars in few months. That is really an awesome thing and I really did not see it coming at all.

I do believe that it is definitely a great thing but I am worried that it is not going to help stake in the long run, I know a gambler worrying about the finances of a casino doesn't really make sense to many people because we should all be wanting to profit here by gambling and earning which means stake losing, that is the "goal" of gamblers, BUT at the same time I want to see stake be around forever and with millions of dollars given to gamblers could mean something bad for stake if they do not earn enough.
No, that's a wrong calculation. Stake has got its own rights to run/close any form of Race. The million dollar race might've brought in more users into Stake. If they haven't profited out of it surely they wouldn't come up with the million dollar race again. The promotional challenges are really interesting and keeps users active.
I don't think their goal is to bring in more users with the million dollar race, because I guess they would update the signatures or the avatars of the campaign with a mention of this contest otherwise. But at least most of regular players will want to be part of the top 5000, for sure.

The goals of the Million Dollar race can be many things. It can attract more new users, it can increase the traffic (wagered amount), and it can be something else. No matter what is the main goal of the Million Dollar Race, I believe it is a good type of promotion especially for those who are playing regularly with big amount as it can be give them something back or even give them extra winning.
