How does one get a fire icon by their name to have it stay there? 
Placing a bet of a small amount about half a mbtc then winning seemed to have given me one.
Does it have any benefit other then showing in chat you have placed a bet and won a certain amount?

You have to be a high roller to get the fire icon beside your name. It will stay there as long as you stay on the high roller tab. Showing up on the live chat with a fire icon could attract many spammers, pm's and friend requests.
Not to mention the begging of other members that will keep bugging you to send them a tip specially if they saw you just won a big amount. They will try to befriend you and start borrowing gambling money

there is no other benefit for you if you have the fire icon and you need to be a high roller to obtain the fire icon
if you had the fire icon it just makes other people chat you and begging for bitcoin

Is there any changes in the wagering amounts since bitcoin went up? Symphonized keeps sharing bitcoin going up and considering stake has a lot of money on their vault thanks to running a very profitable and successful bitcoin casino and when bitcoin goes up their total dollar worth goes up as well but I feel like you guys don't care about the dollar value of it too much. So, I would like to ask if there was a sudden increase or decrease after bitcoin went from 3800-4200 levels to 5+ thousand dollar levels, are people playing more or are they playing less ? Or maybe there is no obvious change and its just about the same on both times ? That would literally change the way people look at casinos and maybe even go invest in some casinos before/after some increases to make more or lose less.

Yeah, the promotions are the important particle here as well, they are making a lot of money for sure but with promotions they are dropping their profitability a bit, they could once again use it to gather more people but instead they are marketing themselves to their own customers which is really amazing. None of these promotions are done to get new users, this is purely for people who are already playing here and trying to stop them from getting bored.
It's a cycle: Promotions > New users > Higher income > More funds allocate for promotions > Cycle repeats again and again. In addition, you are right that promotions run not only to catch eyeballs of potential new users, and have new users to increase total income for the platform, but also to keep most of current users to keep using the sites. Over time, the site might have loyal users, and it's amazing to build up a strong community like this, partially via promotions. A little bit of money as an investment to a great success,It is really worth it and you could really see that it is working perfectly .
The site attract so many gamblers and those new and old gamblers would always join this give aways and challenge to gain more profit than their regular winnings.

I think it is not just about marketing, I mean if they spend this much money on marketing instead they could get much more people, hell they could spend that 1000 dollars to become trending topic on twitter much faster and stay up a lot longer as well.
Marketing plays at least two important roles: The first one is using funds from companies to promote them via marketing with the final objective is to help the company become more popular, and get more users/ customers/ income. The second one is earning income from marketing events and later actitivites in order to self grow marketing. Companies don't be able to provide funds for marketing from years to years. Marketing, itself should be self grown via passive income.You get to try to do something that is crazy difficult to try and challenge yourself with it which really takes up a bit of time but in the end when you reach the goal than you are happy. That type of thing really shows how awesome stake is, they are not thinking "we already have these, lets try to get new people", they are really working to keep current gamblers happy too.

I don't think bitcoin has been corrected and accumulated enough in the range of $5200 to $5400 in order to break its strong resistant range around $6000. It might take some more weeks, or even 2 or 3 months, for bitcoin to accumulate and have enough momentum to break that resistance. I am not sure where bitcoin will stop its correction, but might be below $5000, from which bitcoin might recover and fluctuate above or below $5000 for some time. April 29, 2019, 08:52:43 AM

I think the challenge and give aways wouldn't be affected and would stay the same simce it is base on crypto not on Fiat .

It's really great that Stake is really extending their blessings not just to it's community and supporters but also to people outside. Taking their social responsibility to prove their reputation as a growing online-casino is a really great decision made by the team. Kudos to the team and all the supporters of stake, hoping to see Stake grow not just as a gambling site, but also a company ready to help people who are in need.
The Brick n mortar casinos in my country MUST give a small percentage of their profit back to community projects or projects that stimulates job creation and the local economy. I am glad to see that ONE of the online casinos are doing the same now, because this has always been a contentious issue between brick n mortar casinos and online gambling sites.
I would like the donations to go to "Water" projects or some funding for cancer research.
