It was already discuss about stake V2 and this is only new campaign which is counting down to released but i don't think it will be related to plinko game or other game that i think if they want to change again the payout probably they will announce in this thread

I believe the second version of the stake gambling platform might get sports betting added to the list. Casino in the markets doesn't gain trust that easy, but what stake has achieved is big. Now to take it to the further level gambling section is getting added through the V2.

Not sports betting yet for sure. They said they will add sports betting but not this time. It was stated on the chat, idk if the admin said that or the developer with a 0 username

Any time a new game comes its a bless because the old ones are getting boring after a while so new games could change things up a bit.

Seriously stake is just one upping themselves and that is it, I feel like they have no rivals they need to pass, on normal competition or companies that does business like these they work hard to be better than each other, even coca cola is trying to beat Pepsi at some places but stake reached to such a level of amazingness and professionalism and awesomeness that right now they are not trying to be better than any other casino, they are just working to be better than what they are, they can stay like this and we would be fine with them but they are improving the already established amazingness, their only rival is themselves.

Right, user request is most possible reason why they switched to old plinko.
Till now no official statement has been posted regarding plinko, hold on and wait may be they are working on other changes for V2.
