I support content of this petition, but signing it not going to help. Does anyone remember when such kind of petitions helped to solve big questions like this one? And it's not even proper petition, nobody aren't going to consider it, no matter how many people will sign. There is no way to identify that it was signed by real person because it only asks your email. So, it's easy to make so many fake signings.
I believe the point of signing these kind of proposals is to get the attention of the United States administration, so the president can use his executive powers to push forward laws Wich are very popular among the people of the country, it is like a survey, as far as I know neither the president nor the congress is within some obligation to implement popular proposals.
On the other hand, I believe if the administration being the white house wanted to know whether people behind some sign in these proposals are real, they could figure it out relstively easy, specially if the person signing used a Gmail or Google account to do so. It is not a secret the government of that cou try stockpiles important amounts of personal information about users of companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, among others... So it could be easy for them to tell the difference between a freshly created account an someone who has used the account/email for years, but since this is just some kind of survey, then there is not so much seriousness on it.
The impact of seizing ln Russian assets and using them to rebuild Ukraine had its own legal abd economical implications, which the congress and the presidency could believe not to be suitable for such decision.
