Todays Updates:

1. GPL 2.5 is now the official Gold Pressed Latinum client, Github has been updated, and the test Github has been taken down. The official windows download location in the OP now has version 2.5 and the test location is no longer available. Version 2.4 can still be used, but there is really no reason to do so. Version 2.5 is much faster.

Remember if updating from 2.4, you will need to delete the entire datadir (setting aside a copy of your wallet.dat and conf file) and let the new client build the local database fresh. The local database between 2.4 and 2.5 is incompatible. After 2.5 has synced (1-2 hours), shut it down and replace the wallet.dat with your saved wallet.dat. Start the client back up and your wallet should be as it was before (Client may rescan)

2. The basic client/daemon work for the Federation Credit relaunch is done. Qt changes are done. I have not added anything new cosmetically as there is just not enough time. The redemption cutoff block will be set tonight, so there is no longer any need to POS mine, as rewards will not be redistributed for blocks after the cutoff. Barring any major issues, it should be ready to go later tomorrow. I also need to decide on what to do with the first 120 blocks. Block one will be a super block of ~7,999,000 to be redistributed to the same addresses they are contained on the current chain. Block 1 -120 will be needed to mature the super block for distribution. I would like everything to be in place before official release, so I need to figure out what to do with the ~6000 UFC between blocks 2 - 120.

I also vote for a UFC with blake algorithm. The new algorithm should add a more unique factor to the value of this coin.

I'm still no on SHA256 have QBT and FFC already Agree with Dream on Blake. The coin can be CPU, GPU and FPGA mined. FPGA is not really faster than GPU just less power and used not that expensive on Ebay etc.

2x Antminers S1 are on the UPS trucks as we speak. They get here this Thursday. I am betting on delayed delivery from all the other ASIC manufacturers. If that happens, these babies might actually turn a profit.

I have not started mining again, but my POS is still popping a couple times a minute... is this normal? I hit it with 13mh/s over a period of a few weeks.

Yes, POS will be generated any time the wallet is open and there are coins that have not been moved in 7 days. Best bet to keep the wallet open to keep the block chain moving. Also, I have not set the cut-off block for redemption yet, so the POS coins you are earning will be redistributed to you in the new client.

So I did cause part of the problem by turning my wallet off Sad

It would be lovely if UFC can launch Thursday, so that gives us the time to upgrade, sort out kinks, and trade it on Saturday. But above all else, establish a rock solid coin for this Federation.

I will do what I can, CCE was attacked today and I had 3 servers down.I am now on the tail end of getting everything up and running again.

If everything goes right, I can probably have the new UFC client/daemon ready by Thursday sometime, at least to the point were it can be tested real time before I set the final genesis block in place and start the real chain. It is going to be a couple of long nights.

Regarding KED wallet redemption:

I have 3 wallets right now, I will get to them tonight or tomorrow.

Response has been less then enthusiastic to the redemption program, So I am going to end the program the following way:

1. Wallet redemption will continue through February 21, 2014. This gives everybody a month to get their wallets to me.

2. Any KED left over up to 10% of the initial super block (285,000 * .10) = 28,500 will be given to an address that unfocus controls for promotion-prizes-giveaways etc.

3. Any KED over the 10% will be proportionally distributed among the addresses that have been redeemed.

Please send your old darsek wallet.dat files to: [email protected]

Please put the new darsek address you want the redeemed coins to be sent to in the body of the e-mail

If your wallet is encrypted, also include the pass phrase, I cannot dump encrypted wallets without the pass phrase.

If this is a concern, simply use the old client to change the passphrase of the old wallet to something else like: 1234567

If anybody has any objections, you have a month to make it known.
