I am happy to see such developments because I have always dreamed of entering cryptocurrencies into our daily lives. As the use of the block chain increases and companies that accept payments in crypto currencies increase this market will develop more. Soon everything will be very nice and much useful:)

The only issue I have with this so called adoption is that is not a direct Bitcoin-to-Bitcoin transaction though. They still have someone in between like Bitcoin Payment Processor, like Bitpay or and Flexa as in the case of Starbucks. So we are still a far cry from the so called global adoption, we wanted we see is those big companies accepting Bitcoin directly, in my opinion.

We don't have any other choice i guess. The complete adoption without any mediator is still seems impossible even after big players are entered into the market. What i have observed is that big players don't want to loose the authority of controlling the money, if pure crypto adoption happened then all the power will automatically transferred to public and that's what big players don't want.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
Isn't it not obvious? Again companies are much "smarter" sort to say then the governments. Of course they have more freedom but this is another sign that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are the OBVIOUS way to move forward. That is the next step for our world, no doubt about that. It just takes time and patience. Would love if the Starbucks in my city would accept BTC as payment method too, though I would dwell spending my precious crypto versus spending my garbage fiat currency.

Cashback 15%
who knows, maybe 5 years from now, we'll see some results.
Hopefully not that long.  The only company in the list I really care about is Starbucks, because they seem to be pondering the idea of accepting crypto--at least by the last statement in the linked article in the OP.  I know their big thing is using blockchain tech to track coffee (not sure if that's going to be popular or not), but they have some involvement with Bakkt and it was hinted that:

Happy to see the market is slowly adapting crypto currenices espeicaly bitcoin.

I think all of this is about adopting blockchain technology rather than bitcoin, in which case I don't think this is necessarily going to be a boost for any particular cryptocurrency.

Have you try this service? If you need a proof then you have to try to make a transaction with some merchant who accept cryptocurrency. An honestly my country is still ban crypto to be use as payment system so I can't use them but I believe the service is still running on several countries who accept crypto to be use as payment system such as Japan and other.

And other thing that you should know, facebook is still have an interest to cryptocurrency. More than that they will create their own coin i.e Libra coin. And when bitcoin price went up from $3200 tp $13.000 a few months back I believe there is a relation to facebook decision's who will create their own crypto. So, my conclusion is there is no gosip that the merchant/companies who accept crypto because I have felt the result.

This is old news but good sign that you connected all news in one place so that new comers in crypto industry will happy to see this. Actually it is impossible to give up any new currency like BTC and altcoin for all big markets. I think day by day it will expand.

As the time, days and years goes by, the influence of technology is keep on spreading to its maximum level. People are now are creating the best possible and easiest way of life that we could experience. And the existence of crypto currency is another thing that gives us more power in terms of our daily financial payment methods. So the Starbucks, Facebook Microsoft, Amazon and many many more that began to adopt crypto could benefit all of us, now up to the future.

In my country, the real use of cryptocurrency is prohibited and will be a long time to face problems. I am very happy for countries that are loyal to this. This is very cool, and makes you think about a change of residence ...
Cryptocurrency is not a magic who can change a someone live easily even when I knew cryptocurrencies and that was something that must be avoided by a common people especially in volatility price thing. I have a new job currently and some of my friend told me they have a bad experience when tried to bought cryptocurrency.

All of their salary for one month they tried to bought bitcoin and ripple exactly at 2017 ago and they were happy because their money has doubled pastly but it was just for a while because the price crash happened and they lost almost their money and they told never took to bought cryptocurrency again for the rest of their life. This is pointed out cryptocurrencies have an adventage and disadventage that should well thought out by newcomers.

I think Starbucks, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon only adopt blockchain technology not want to make their own currency, except Facebook he wants to make a global currency libra coin but I see it's only a stable coin whose fluctuations are not like altcoin in general

We are about to enter the time when crypto is a payment method in e-commerce. We already have ModulTrade which is amazon duplicate working on the same principle. Many more will enter the market too, really soon, I believe.

corporations are following trends. They are not letting any chance of staying behind. If crypto is on the rise all the major especially monopoly companies will adopt.

Not really  . some are contented on what they have and they still not amaze on the rise of cryptos because they know that its not easy to put up a crypto payment method and not all are going to use crypto  .

on the other hand , those companies that adopt crypto are only trying to see if cryptos can help their company to expand or grow more  . along with that , they are also helping cryptos to be expose more on the public  . this is also good for us that who are involved on crypto
From my understanding the companies that have adopted cryptocurrency as a payment source can be categorized into two. One is the market leaders like Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks and under the second category falls the firms from small scale to mid level companies that are in the progress to reach next level.

Here the grown countries will always use an intermediary service render like bitpay, because a small volatility in the market will cause a big drop in their market share value. Here very few have like Facebook have come up with its own native cryptocurrency which is a stablecoin.

The second categorized ventures will not get much of business through the cryptocurrency payment, and this won't cause them a big market change. It is like an investment for them, if there is good growth automatically it'll help them to grow further.

This is what I call blockchain adoption as many different sectors of society started to use blockchain to improve their products, technologies, work environments and services. One of exciting development is the use of blockchain in electoral process, let see if this blockchain integration can improve the voting system and eliminate fraud or cheating. The use of blockchain by some well known online shops and social media sites mean another cryptocurrency or token will created.
Adopting Blockchain technology doesn’t mean that they are adopting crypto as well. Some of them are just adopting the Blockchain technology and it’s all for the purpose of them generating more income for their business and nothing more.

Because when they create a Blockchain, companies that makes use of cryptocurrency will then be paying them to be making use of their Blockchain technology and that’s how it works. Even if they do create their own cryptocurrency, it’s all for the purpose of attracting investors who are interested in cryptocurrency to invest in their crypto, which will also help them grow their business, unless maybe it’s a stable coin.

But, there will always be a way for benefit from it, cause no companies takes part in something that doesn’t benefit them.

A lot of people were hyping this Facebook coin since, but after they all knew that it was going to be a stable coin, now they are no more hyping as much as they used to do? Seems like the majority of the people prefers volatile coins. The problems is that there is nothing you will give people that they are not going to complain about it, that's just how it is. Still wondering if libra coin is going to be useful to me. Till then if it's released, I might not invest in it, but if there are things I'm doing that requires receiving payment through it, since there is no PayPal in my country, then I might opt in for it.

Many speculate about Libra coin, I think we can`t be sure in anything before Libra get`s out, and that`s announced for the next year., and we all know
what can happen in one year in crypto-currencies. Every crypto-currency is useful for something, what Libra plan to do many coins are doing already. Facebook
have many users on their social network and that`s only advantage they have, user-base, but we will see in upcoming years how many people will stay on
Facebook and how many will change that centralized social network for some decentralized, build on Blockchain.
