I am not always in favour of holding coins for as long as five years. But in fact, I do not favour holding even for a short term. Rather I would buy just a few months ago after the market starts increasing. The crypto market is highly volatile and the market goes up and down from time to time. So in this context, for me holding coins for long is not beneficial that much.

Five years for me is too long and I think I can only have it for about 2 or 3 years. I'll invest to bitcoin and eos to be honest as they are the coins that I am able to see profitable for long term hold. Additional to that price of crypto change so fast as in almost per second so its either I get profit already after 2 years or I lose profit.

For every good coins that's worth keeping for that long must show its true potential in just 2years ,there roadmap must be followed up as they stated and with very good working product too
2-3 years is enough. Because if you have to wait for 5 years, I think it will decline again at that time. So if indeed a long time must always be seen also the development of coins that we keep. Because when ATH happens we never know when it happened.

Are you willing to invest USD10,000 or more in a currency which seems to be static at the moment and keep it for 5 years or longer?

You hope that, after 5 years or longer, the price of the currency will go very high.

Are you patient enough? Or could you sell the currency for other currencies when you see that the currency shows no progress after one or two years?
I would not be able to keep the coin for 5 years, because the market is changing very quickly if the project did not show itself in 2 years, then I would get rid of the coins.

I don't seem willing. If I have that much $ 10,000, I will use it to do large-scale crypto trading and invest in a place that I consider feasible to produce a balanced profit. Because for me 5 years, not a short time and that does not necessarily produce the right one.

I think you mixed something up. Ideally, your static/stable currency is exactly worth 10k in 5 years, otherwise it wouldnt be stable Wink
If you want to increase your chances to double your investment you should have a look at not so stable coins like ETH and BTC, chances are higher that they are worth more than today in eg. 5 years. But also the opposite may be true.

You want to invest in static currecy and waiting a huge raising? WHAT? Smiley Static(stable actually) coin is USDT for example Smiley Stable coins = static coins, they got dollar peg for example.. Other regular coins are not static, but volatile, most of them very volatile Grin

What do you mean by static currency?
To be able to earn, the currency must be dynamic. The currency whose price does not change, will only retain your funds.
If I buy any asset, I will try to make a plan for the progress (rapid price move up/down, a long no progress).
