STEEM's performance was quite bad this year, because the price was less volatile, so it was difficult to make profit from STEEM.
From 2019 until now there has been no significant increase in the price of STEEM. This is quite frustrating for STEEM holders,

defi has just grow as if it is overhyped but lets see in the middle of fourth quater or in December if they still pumps or the normal currencies will take place like Steem,in which one good currency AFAIR back in 2017.Not sure if Steem is still a good investment. I sold my holding at loses and I only invest in bitcoin and those defi coins for now.
Since Justin was forking the steem coin into the hive coin and that's the end for the steem. I didn't even believe to see some people were still holding their steem. Defi is the best choice right now as after the acquisition that has already made by tron for this company and steem has no progress and it's a dead platform.

Steem is one of the coins that did very well in 2017 and early 2018. However since it lost it momentum in March 2018 it has been in the state of comma and holding it is like holding those dead coins to me. I sold my holding at loses and I only invest in bitcoin and those defi coins for now.
Wow. Steemit/STEEM or whatever it is now seems to have changed SO much since I last went on the platform. I thought it was broken even in 2017 but it seems 2020 Steemit is even more broken than ever. The move to TRON or the acquisition rather seems not to have worked out the way it was supposed to. And all this weird staking voting whatever system. Whatever happened to just regular blogging?

now the price of steem is about $0.20
maybe its a better price to buy steem, because this project still survive and stand in the top 100 coin at coinmarketcap too

Bitcoin makes it difficult for other Altcoins to bounce back including STEEM because I think it's hard for this coin to return to the highest value and STEEM currently ranges between $ 0.13. recently has been an unexpected downturn in the market and it looks like STEEM won't be able to survive if BTC prices down touch $3K.
i considered steem as a good quality coin compare to other coins that are come and go so i dont believe on you when you say this coin wont survive . it maybe true that when btc drop other coins gets affected too but not to the point that other coins have been dragged too much . other coins have thier own lives too and not totally depending on btc . in the case of steem , steem is one of the coin that has a working product or have an active platform like blogging with a twist as its paying users . it has a good comunity with lots of supporters so rising is possible for this coin

Steem have down just awhile during want to hard fork steem go up, now check by your self how down steem after hard fork finish. I think some coin going up after get moment and down again when moment have ended. Better with good position coin on market cap to buy and invest for long term.
Lol there was no a good position in steem market right now and anything is involving a very big risk caused by those who have already participated in the hive airdrop will try to speculate about the future of hive token.
