https://steemit.com/travel/@makisantypas/breathtaking-views-beautiful-sunset-you-got-to-visit-santorini-greece-this-is-why-mindblowing-photos

Which is a very good article in my opinion about a trip to Santorini with photos etc.. Gets only 2 upvotes and 1.02$us , and on the other hand, you get a guy that just woke up, drinking coffee and explaining his dreams, get like 400-500$us in get 2 hours with over 200 upvotes.

That is ridiculous and funny in the same time
Just upvoted this great posts with my 5 cents.

Hello guys,

Hope all is fine. I really support the whole Steemit.com idea. I find it really nice and especially when the beta will go away, i believe we will see a lot of people migrating to Steemit. Not that much because of the webite design or idea, but most users will be attracted by the blockchain idea and the payouts.

But i must admit that Steemit has been weird to me in general. I am quiet new to it, and wouldn't expect to equal the payouts of people with thousands of followers. But it hurts to see that quality content such as this one :

That pushes away people from creating and posting quality content. I don't know what kind of algorithm they have, but they should actually support people with good quality content...

What you think guys.

many thanks

steem deposit still pending after 3 days on poloniex. apparently, their wallet is down, no announcements. no support ticket answers. nothing. fucking horrible exchange

Never use Poloniex, lesson learned.
You can use Bittrex for both Steem and Steem Backed Dollar. It has very nice volume.

So I made a trading bot for Steem's internal market.

Apparently after testing, now my bot nor I can no longer make a trade because I can't broadcast it.
Was I limited from trading or something?

Is there any link to steemit upcoming news releases or events? Coin has been sitting a while hovering between 1.80 USD - 2.9 USD.

polo just disabled the steem coin wallet
can somebody tell me why poloniex Temporarily Disabled steem wallet
is steem going through hardfork or some else reason that polo Temporarily Disabled the wallet ?

Steem had a hardfork on Tuesday, which went smoothly. Polo probably didn't upgrade in time and has to do it now.

can you explain what you mean with "power down" and how it effects the price ( direct or indirect) of Steem?

STEEM can be 'powered' up which turns it into STEEM POWER, which is locked and gives you voting power plus a small amount of passive STEEM POWER earnings (I believe 1-2% per year). Turning it back into unlocked STEEM is called 'powering down' and takes 13 weeks (1/13 of the total is released as STEEM every 7 days).

When people power down, it can negatively affect the price because it means more liquid STEEM is available to sell on the market. It doesn't necessarily mean that, but there might be a connection.

clear explanation, thanks. Do you have any social-media account (maybe Steemit? Smiley ) were we can read your content?

Seems like the hardfork yesterday got new member a better share of the rewards. Thumbs up Steemit!   Also more and more people from my environment joining Steemit and never heard about cryptocurrency before. And it doesn't matter. The use-case is good and the rewards will motivate them to learn about it. Thumbs up

I'm in a private paid group with over 40 members, i've heard from them it is expected to raise 2x-2.5x in two weeks? Any idea why?

If you are paying to be in such group, why don't you ask them? And then you can share the answer with us Smiley

Is there a windows version of the wallet?

https://steemit.com it's web wallet, if you want standalone Windows wallet which uses public API nodes you can use Vessel:
https://steemit.com/steem-project/@jesta/vessel-006-steem-power-delegation

If you want fully independent configuration, you should build and run your Steem node (available only for Linux and OSX) and point Vessel to your node, or run your "steemit.com" (https://github.com/steemit/condenser)
