I have similar situation like you ^^^. I just missed the giveaway although I was having good number of Bitcoins in my possession. I just came across for updates and saw someone asking about snapshot which was taken yesterday. Anyways I made good profit from last day's crash by buying at lower and selling at high. Next month I will be linking my bitcoins to get from free distribution. Hope it didn't reach to its limit yet.

Poloniex not participating in the give away? Anyway i could care less. The give way should have been for STR holders not BTC holders.

It says here polo is participating:

Do we know what the minimum necessary bitcoin balance needs to be during the June 26 snapshot to qualify for the Stellar giveaway?

who says marketcap will be the same? probably will be much more higher.

btw, i keep some stellar too, as i can see they are the same as ripple. 10-20x profit in some weeks/months.

Whats the reason for Stellar to be same as ripple?

Ripple is a huge banking project, and stellar is ...?

that's why:

"Stellar copied Ripple's implementation of arbitrary assets. For a system that supports arbitrary assets, you have two fundamental choices:

1) Make some way for people to keep track of all the assets they might hold, including worthless ones. You can let anyone pay anyone else anything, but the recipient might consider the asset worthless.

2) Only allow people to send others assets they've agreed to accept. But if you send someone an asset, they must consider it a payment.

Ripple chose the second option, and Stellar copied our code. So they also work this way.

So you must agree to accept (with a transaction on the ledger) any asset (other than the native asset) before it can be sent to you. I would assume Stellar wallets make this reasonably easy to do as Ripple wallets do.

Creating a trust line is analogous to opening a bank account. If you open a bank account and you tell people to pay you by depositing into your bank account, you are trusting that bank to hold your money for you and agreeing that if people make your bank owe you money, you consider them to have paid you."

Simply speaking - this is also a socially useful product

But why it will spike up? The free giveaway coins have no value invested in it, they are made from thin air so that won't rise the value of Stellar, the Market Cap will be the same if not worse, so if you divide the Markep Cap by the coins that will be in circulation that results Stellar is gonna drop hard.

I salt away Stellar 1500-1600 Sat. The move of this coin is like XRP, so it may up to 10-15X soon. As you know XRP was increased nearly 60 X at last 3-4 months. Why noy STELLAR ??

This is not an investment advice !!!
well if looking from the history and this coin really related to xrp its good for long term hold and it will bring a huge profits for those who will wait
as we know that inside crypto things happen so fast and no one would anticipate what will happen next, i have my str and i'll hold it time will tell when
i gonna let it go.
