Much to my surprise 2 years after Bitconnect shutdown, it's blockchain apparently has remained up and I've gained
50 BCC tokens in staking it on a server that I use as a multimedia SAN..

Anyone here been staking BCC?? Obviously I can't be the only one staking it because I'm getting rewards every
several days.. Any real use for it? Anyone trading them? It's a Proof of Stake blockchain.. Yeah it was used by probably
the biggest scammers dealing with crypto currencies, but it's still blockchain technology..

I figure someone would just rebrand it to something else useful and use it for whatever..

Just thought I'd ask since I pulled up the wallet and saw that I have 114 total BCC tokens..

Bitconnect? Was this not the scam project which shut down years ago you are referring to or is it another one?. You are certainly aware of the scam that happened with this coin and yet you think there is hope for it to come back again. Well, I don't think it's coming back no matter what anyone does not when there are other tons of coins to research on. There have been scam projects in this space and this one won't be an exemption thus the best thing is to forget whatever you see in the project and move on; it is a dead project with no hope of coming back.

Bitconnect already left the markets years ago. There is no possibility of them turning back and so their utility token would just remain a shit coin for the rest of the life. I do not really think that you would gain any profits from those coins which you got for staking for years. Also the amount of coins you have is pretty less. There are number of users who got thousands of BCC coins which are worthless now.

If ever BCC started back than at the initial stage the coin would instantly dump because almost each of the holders would sell their coins. This is not possible though. You have no use of those coins but yet you can hold those coins for few more years to check your luck.

I don't think it's worth re branding because they have a very bad reputation and the authorities might go after the new developers who will try to revive it, I've check it on Coinmarketcap and I don't see it anymore on Coinmarketcap and Coingecko, I think it should be forgotten and do not try to revive it.

What would we get if we are staking a coin on this project? it's been a scam project a long time ago, probably the biggest scam in crypto, so we better not touching it, and just let it die and let people forget about it.

There is no way anyone would ever buy this coin. Even there are millions of these coins in the markets which has no value and users have just stored them for no reason. Rewarding someone to stake this coin is pretty easy because the coin has no demand. I almost forgot about bitconnect years ago.

I was one of the user of bitconnect but at the end they just exit the markets by giving everyone BCC coins for the amount they invested which were instantly dumped in the markets. That was the time BCC would never ever be used again but I am shocked to see OP expecting some returns from such coins yet after these many years.
As I recall, BCC never entered the top 10 coinmarketcap because at that time many people joined bitconnect and I just registered an account without buying any BCC. I once heard a story from one of my friends that he lost a lot of money so he sold his house for the necessities of his life, I feel sad for the victims of bitconnect.

I doubt if anyone will want the coin or buy them from you, biconnect scam was one of the few most popular scam in crypto history so I am pretty sure many knew about this scam coin already, either its POS block chain is still running or not says nothing, do not waste your time

Is this shit coin even being traded anywhere? If not then what's the point of staking it and creating a topic about this coin. I do not think any one would agree to buy this coin as my understanding the coin does not have any value.

I haven't seen anyone using the coin for pretty much anything since the entire debacle about the scam came out, and I'm not surprised because the coin completely lost its credibility past that point, and even though it might be a PoS coin, there's probably tens of thousands of other PoS-based cryptocurrencies out there that don't have as much of a stain on their reputation that platforms and people might be willing to use.

As for the potential of trading BCC, you'd probably have to personally work something out with another person that wants the coins because there does not seem to be any exchanges out there at the moment that have active trading pairs with BCC.

Wow, their blockchain is living longer than its creators. Hah, sounds futuristic

Yeah, that's quite odd.

Anyways, it is a proven scam already, so I doubt that anyone would like to trade p2p with Bitconnect tokens. There are no exchanges that accept it as well, so you might as well treat it like nothing, worthless piece of shitcoin.

The damage has been done, there is no fixing it, even prior to the scandal, many people here in the community has been calling it a scam, but they are gullible and thinks that it will continue to make them money until it got busted.

Stop wasting your time bro. It's a worthless token.

When people hear about Bitconnect, they will remember one of the Biggest Scam History in the cryptocurrency market. That name already has a very bad reputation, so rebranding it is useless.
maybe he is just curious since there are still stakes that given by that scammer site but your right this is a waste of time.
and it is sad that everytime we hear about this Bitconnect all the shit that happen in past are coming back, the money they took from us.
and the justice still not going to anyone and hope will be serve even in future.
to OP?just leave it alone and forget anything from bitconenct.

It just tells you how strong are cryptocurrencies.  Once protocol exist some time and bugs are fixed, it can just work forever.  Bitconect was a simple bitcoin clone, so protocol was tested for 7 years. They added thsi saking you talk about. Nothing that hard and nothing you would expect many bugs out of it.

The project was a scam already and therefore no one is and will ever have any use for it. Let's ask, who will buy when knowing fully well it was a scan? Which exchange can trade it? Who will be the person willing to take the risk of rebranding it while putting his funds at risk? There are many questions to ask and all points to the fact that, getting involved with that coin again is a lost cause and will definitely lead to wasted time and money. So it's better you overlook it and focus on the majority of good and trusted coins out there.

It was already Identify that Bitconnect (BCC) as a scam coin, so I guess no one will use it nowadays thats why its useless to hold it, As we all know that the crypto space react swiftly if there is an accusation thats why if any project was already tag as a scam especially when there is a piece of solid evidence against it I'm sure it will become useless in a matter of days.

That's true, about the lost of credibility of that coin. At a point after the scam debacle I got a mail from them about rebranding but I never paid it any attention. I was one of the lucky ones who held that coin at the time because I got my reward before that ultimate collapse. I don't think anyone in their right senses should pay BCCn attention now under any guise.

No need to waste your time on that coin and don't put much hope which will just fail and disappoint you at the end of it.
Accept it that bitconnect has been known as a scam coin and scheme and even if you are still accepting the reward of staking it, there is no one who's willing to buy it.

Where then do you sell the tokens after staking? Are there exchanges it is listed on or you sell peer-to-peer to those that still find it useful aside the monetary rewards they gain from it? What exactly do people find useful about the coin? Never really had time to research how the coin works or worked in the past.

for rebrand nobody seems to want it and some time ago bitconect tried to get back up with their v2.0 slogan and it also ended up failing because everyone might already know their nonsense and it seems like a blockchain with models like bitconnect will only be a dark history of cryptocurrency.

Man, just forget about Bitconnect. No one really cares about that scam coin and you won't benefit from holding or at least taking care of that anymore. There's no hope for that so I suggest that you stop caring in that. 114 BBC or 999999 BBC, they are basically the same. I think you are the only one who is staking that unironically.

Maybe you are holding that for the sake of history? Like a collection? I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that will never get any value.
