Until we can pay almost everything, people at least needs a bank account for daily and monthly goods/bills. I'm sure many bitcoiner try to use bitcoin in their daily lives, but many of us can't even find physical stores that accept bitcoin as payment methods.
We tried to accept bitcoin, but not all of us run business/services OR have customers who would pay with bitcoin. Furthermore, it's risky to accept bitcoin while bitcoin is still unregulated or illegal.
Also, running full nodes won't help transaction got confirmed faster unless every bitcoin run full nodes and accept SegWit so miners could activate/support SegWit as well so the problem will be solved.

Why do you allow to governments track your transactions?
Why do you you pay crazy taxes for banks, third parties?
Why don't be your own bank and use Bitcoin only?
Why don't create something that will allow worldwide users to buy everything with bitcoin?
Why do you cry about unconfirmed transactions instead of downloading wallet and supporting the bitcoin network?

Bitcoin's future depends on public acceptance, why do you cry of less bitcoin acceptance instead of doing something and creating bitcoin business right now?

Different reasons for everyone, but the main problem is bitcoin still not as an official payment that accepted everywhere.
We're not on suitable condition to leave banks system and fiat payment yet. As there are a lot to achieve/solve for bitcoin to become a major payment method. Yes, we need doing something but problem related to acceptance or bitcoin transaction need more than an intended to solve. For example : my last transaction, it's already 12 hours and still not confirmed, there is nothing I can do about it.

Bitcoin would be popular if local governments will legalize it, it seems like, if our local government will be the one who will consider bitcoin as money, a lot of people or citizens will go on this kind of money paying transactions. Once government implement bitcoins, an additional fee for all transactions will be implemented

What can you buy with Bitcoin in Belarus, Iraq, Iran, Congo, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Syria? If people living there don't have a bank account how will they sell their freshly acquired coins and convert to local currency? Do you know if they even actively use Bitcoin at all there?
The answer is even simpler than it seems. In these countries, you can buy dollars if you have a Bitcoins. I think explains not continue. Everyone knows how to spend the dollars. I understand that in any case, we return to fiat money but no country has not yet fully passed on cryptocurrency. Prior to that, very far away.

Its not possible to integrate it to everywhere right now. As I live in Bangladesh, bitcoin is banned here and I can't use it here for my daily needs. It will be a long process for the people to know about it more and more and and use it. And government will accept this if the private companies start its use. The more it takes time to settle the more it will be permanent in our society. This kind of change can't be done instantly.

Paying for goods and services with PayPal is free and instant. How can Btcoin beat that guys?
In a very simple way. PayPal is not even available worldwide, some countries are banned from using PayPal: Belarus, Iraq, Iran, Congo, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Syria and so on.
Bitcoin is available for everyone, everywhere, as long as there is internet access there. How can PayPal beat than?

All I know is that I know nothing.
Why do you allow to governments track your transactions?
they can track bitcoin transactions much easier than they can track fiat, and more specifically cash transactions!

also i am not doing anything shady or illegal to be wanting to hide!

Quote
Why do you you pay crazy taxes for banks, third parties?
we pay taxes to the government and not to third parties. and if you don't like the law and what it says about taxes then take up to the court Cheesy

it is worth saying where i live taxes are so low and nice Wink

Quote
Why don't be your own bank and use Bitcoin only?
i do do that!
the problem is nobody else does it but me. so there is nowhere to spend bitcoin.

Quote
Why don't create something that will allow worldwide users to buy everything with bitcoin?
i would like to see that, have you done anything or tried anything in this area?!!

Quote
Why do you cry about unconfirmed transactions instead of downloading wallet and supporting the bitcoin network?
this question doesn't even make sense.
someone else already pointed this out, i say it again. it doesn't matter if you are running a full node or using an SPV wallet or even using websites to push your transaction, there will be a lot of unconfirmed transactions as long as some group is spamming tx and block size is small.

not everyone is good at making a successful transaction and building it up. i have something of my own in my own country which is small. but in my experience it is not for everyone.

I try to do this, I try to keep a law profile for governments and banks whereever I only can, I don't use bank deposits anymore and stash all money in bitcoins. But sure sometimes so far it dificult to complitely avoid fiat financial system.
But I argee with you, we need to get in control of our money and bitcoin is a great opportunity and we must not pass up this chance

It can't because Bitcoin is not competitor to the traditional payment system and I cannot imagine that we can use BTC for everyday transactions. In developed coutries we have all access to banking and financial services. Transactions are instant with 0 fees. I'm paying with my mobile app and it is very secure. But many unbanked people are in need of BTC until they have no other choice.

Actually, the author of the thread is biased towards banking system. Many young people hate banks but we can't still live without it. If one or two world major banks crashes, it means that we are back in 2008. Crisis will disrupt many countries and we'll see more poor people. Bitcoin is not about disruption, in my opinion. It is about choice. With BTC you have choice and freedom.

The idea of accepting bitcoin in every stores and retailers is really good thought but before that government should recognize about bitcoin. Like visa, debit, credit card etc. these three thing are accepting every where in your country because already they are integrated with banks. Very soon bitcoin will also be accepted in these stores and retailers.

Your idea is good, but actually we need bank debit card at least, so we can deposit and withdraw money from that. I against paypal and credit cards, especially the latter one, it charges lots of fees and costs expensive annual fees. Paypal is bad because there are too many charge back scammers. I always avoid it.
well if establishment can be convince to use bitcoin system i guess it will be easy for us to use btc everywhere but sad to say that until now its just few businessman who really adopt bitcoin system better to keep doing such campaign and advertisement in order to make more knowledge about this amazing and low cost transaction fee.

Because you can't buy grocery with bitcoin at the moment, not even a pizza, not clothes or shoes. So we'll have to stick with money and credit/debit cards for a while before we completely abandon them. There is still a lot of time before that happens, let governments and big companies aside, not even all normal people into bitcoin as of this moment. So first masses has to accept and start using it, then maybe people would start using it in businesses and then we'll definitely see its rise.
But I wonder if bitcoin was actually made for this?

Well, If you live in Europe or in United States or to whatever country in which bitcoin is highly accept then yes probably you can do it but there will still a lot of limitation. How much more if you are a bitcoin enthusiast but lives in a place in which people doesn't have any idea on what is it then it could be finding a water into the desert situation.

In desert no one accepts cash either.

Right now for our goodness we cannot completely stop the using of banks and other financing supporters. Bitcoin has been growing potentially with adoption taking place periodically. Also banks too have made plans of adopting blockchain technology, so soon or later can see several banks using bitcoin.

You get what you believe in.
