It only sends a shit token to the related wallet, I also often get shit token like that in my old Ethereum address. So in my opinion, it's not a strange transaction on Ethereum Blockchain.
You are right, I also get a lot of strange coins in some of my ethereum wallets. whether it comes from an ico promotional token or indeed someone intentionally sends us tokens that don't have that value.

Phinishing will always be there when the existing basis exceeds its limit, so those who want to see phinishing have someone else will be there for the end they can see in the method

I have so many of this, the first thing I do is to check my list if I participate in their airdrops or campaign, sometimes it takes months before you get it and you forgot that you participate in their campaign or airdrop, and if they are not in my list, I trace their home page and see if they have a potential in the market.

This doesn't look suspicious, it's just of those shit coins that spray your wallet giving false hope. In the past, I have seen some tokens in my wallet that looks like a link, I simply just know I dare not type the link on a browser that can be very dangerous. But this yours post no harm, nothing to worry about.

Why didn't you share the transaction ID instead of an image?

The quantity is unbelievable for an airdrop if ever. I don't think that this PMNT is Paymon though because the quantity is already Paymon's total supply.

Out of curiousity, I checked your Eth address found in your previous post (quoted below), but I didn't see the PMNT there. Isn't the transaction belongs to your wallet?
ETH Address: 0xc0E25E470fc690241973474b1d617B5F53821907

Please let us see the TX ID.

If the amount was just sent to your wallet and you didn't do anything like open a link, give your log in credentials, private key, seed or any important data/files that can be used to open your account/wallet, it's not phishing.

It's a great promotion for a new coin sometimes they will attach the name of the site they are promoting to the token so those who will receive will search for that token like findtherabbit.me token promotion we will see more of this token promotion if they succeed promoting this way.

Hey all!
Today im take transaction in MEW:

What a phishing method is this?
I do not think it is related to phishing. It is just an unnecessary ERC20 token. There is a lot of currency like this on the ethereum's platform. I also have an unnecessary token called THUG and value is very low.

I also received these tokens. But they have nothing to do with the team and the project. It's written in their chat in the telegram. It is unclear only why someone needed to do it.

I don't think that is a form of phishing method on MEW, phishing is when a person creates the clone of a website in order to confuse the users of that website to visit his/hers so that they can be able to store your login details without your conceit to later steal your funds.

Crypto is a free market and it is very legal and possible to create multiple clones of 1 token since the market cannot be controlled by just one individual, so I don't see this as phishing but normal activity anyone will carry out just know the contract address of the token you are looking for and that's all.

It is a regular method of promoting a project. I have also got some strange tokens into my wallet and I wondered about that. So I searched for a project that distributed these tokens and it was like a discount coupon for the token sale.
There is no such thing is done for promotion. It is done for nothing in fact.
However, afaik, people got a little satoshi more often to their bitcoin address. I'm not exactly sure about this. I think that's what is happening here too.

I ever get same case like you. Its juat spam altcoin who enter your wallet. In my case a lot of people get it and report the token. In the end the altcoin disappeared. I think that altcoin deleted by MEW itself

Ive got a lot of this in my wallet. Actually, I opted to try cleaning my wallet and seeing this irritates me. Hoping that there are some restriction on creating a token cause many people enjoy creating display tokens. I dont know what good they can get from doing this,

AGREED: They want to draw attention by spamming their tokens which is clearly a suspicious way of promoting their project. Be careful as well might some of them have virus attached phishing paraphernalia.

These are not tokens used for promotion, these are just spam tokens from spammers and this tokens can be unseen from explorer side (contact etherscan they will remove it, if it's serious).

It seems to me, that most of these free tokens are created to attract attention to their projects. You see the token and you start to read about it.

I've got a plenty of unexpected tokens on my ETH address since it was created.
I suspect that one of the reason of this spam was an attempt to warm up the market. Some of those spam tokens belong to real projects but  bad ones. They are traded on exchanges and someone is sending some free token and while user is trying to sell them he see that the amount of his free tokens is not enough to trade it on exchange so he have to buy some more of the tokens. Sometimes even after that he can't sell it because of lack of volume.

A phishing method requires you to login or input a detail to a very sketchy website.

What you have given is a transaction from an unknown token so it's not really a phishing attempt but spam token.
Simply to understand if something is requiring you to sign up / log in such important details, you need to stand back and think twice, as things can harm
you, but what we are seeing right now is just spam transactions to gather some attentions from the platform, nothing to be worried as long as it's not
doing any harmed to your personal wallet then you are still safe to go.
