I don't think this is a case to worry about and to arrange them alphabetically because it's very easy to find whom you wishes to find.
If you are using PC simply just type c+f + the letter of the such user all the alphabet starting with either A or B are highlighted for you to know and how many places such person has been mentioned in that thread.

For mobile phone and to those using chrome browser, click on your top right hand side with the 3 dotted line you will see a find page, click on it and search whomever you wishes to search I believe this could reduce you some stress. I do used them both on my PC and smartphone it works without being worried to search.
Note that the search only works on the current page you opened that is to say, it works only on  the active page.

Alternatively you can install the chrome extension of bpip.org it displays DT member on their profile while reading comment on the forum. It will indicate DT1 and DT2 so need to stress yourself searching anymore to know if actually such person is a DT or not.

I prefer if there is a special board for DT members on which the names are placed and fixed in a fixed place in the forum for everyone to see.

Creating a board would make a difference because you have to consider many things involved, will the board meant for only the DT members alone or any rank could make a thread and post there, it will also attract members creating unnecessary threads that could attract more reasons to spam the board, the only advice is maybe they should pinned the thread from LoyceV updates on DT members than creating a board for DT members, once you're on Meta board, you will find threads from LoyceV on DTs within the first two pages.

Exactly, I tried the crlt+f search box and I don't think it is fast as the alphabetical order format. Though when a thread is created, many people see it from different angles.
I like this arrangement too.

But wait, Agbe - for what reason?
I think the op made the reason clear there. Please you can re-read the Op to see the reason.

After looking at the log thread that you provided I can say the ctrl + f key is not going to help
Ctrl + F still help although it won't be fast or right away since there are multiple posts with the usernames of DT but if you only look at the newest post when using Ctrl + F then you will find if you still remain at DT1 or being removed though I think this is only applicable if you are only checking about your account.
On the last page of the thread > Ctrl+f > write member name > click up (previous) navigation in the search pane, it will point you (if any) to the member you searched for in the last update log. Even that takes less than 10 secs, faster than other methods.

I can't remember how much time I've spent checking who was in DT1 or who was kicked out - but I tend to miss them. Theymos updates the list regularly - and if you want to do a quick search then use Ctrl+F. So far I tend to check LoyceV's list rather than the updated list by theymos - of course when I'm really curious about what has happened to my trust list.

But wait, Agbe - for what reason?

After looking at the log thread that you provided I can say the ctrl + f key is not going to help because the tables are repeating and one thing you can do is copy all the members and paste them somewhere else and then use ctrl + F or you could use it on the page too because even if the names might be repeating but you do know which table is the latest one so it is not going to be an issue.

Copying all the members and paste it somewhere works too. I think it all depends on the person on what they want to do but in my case, I use bpip.org if I am still a DT member or not.

I know these ideas might have come to your mind already but from my experience, this is not a big issue that needs so much attention to be resolved because it's just a small thing that has become a problem or has provided a small difficulty to find specific members but this thread is only used by some members as you can see the readers too.

So the point is, making some efforts to find good results worth making efforts. But I also do agree that the ops of that thread would add them alphabetically which will not take too much time but only make some shortcut key to press depending on the app they are using to keep track of data.

As the title suggested, the names in the "DT update log" should be in alphabetical order for easy identify of a DT member (s) whenever a user is trying to find out any. I was looking for a particular DT member in the log and I noticed that it was somehow difficult for me to get to the DT member name because the names are not arrange in alphabetical order so I have to check one after the other but if the names were arranged in alphabetical order, I would have gone straight to the alphabet of the particular username and make a search from there and get the name. But for now the scanning or skimming process is somehow difficult because the names are not alphabetically organized. Whenever the log is updated, we the active forum users check it to know the current DT members in the forum, that is who was removed and who was added, so I am suggesting that the names should be alphabetically arrange in the next updates.
Who was Removed and who was added
This can also be identify easily if it is arranged in alphabetical way. It is just a suggestion for easy search of DT users in the
DT update log
. If the suggestion sound good then let the next updates should be alphabetical. But let theymos and Cyrus etc should be at the top for 1 and 2  then the rest should be orderly arranged.

I don't really understand your aim OP but I don't think you should be too concerned about how things are being done concerning the DT members, unless you have it in mind on becoming one. There are things that we shouldn't even talk about on this Forum unless you have a target, so if theymos is at the bottom it doesn't change the fact that they're doing there job and doing it perfectly well so no questions should be asked and why they're being listed at the bottom, so OP let it be.

That's incorrect. You should read DefaultTrust changes (to start).
Indeed, this thread is very useful for me to start because I've noticed that I know nothing about DT1 members.

Thank you for the information because I learned and understood new things about the Default Trust policy.

Creating specific board for the DT members will not make sense because they are not much to create a special board for them. And if such board is carved out for them then it will become the state Board in the forum where specific cases will be brought to the board for proper analysis and resolution
DT members are just like any other user in this forum, but they have the added benefit of being trusted by the forum administrator Theymos; I don't think there is a need for a separate board for them to handle problems when other people can contribute as well.

But what I am saying here is the rearrangement of the DT Members in an alphabetical order so that names can be easily located in the list. I like some answers which says by using the search box for the name you looking for. But if you don't remember the DT member name then that can't work out again. So you still use the manual way of searching.
There is no need to verify the list alphabetically if you are using the Bpip extension because it is stated in the profile. Nonetheless, the search box will be more useful because, before looking for a certain DT member, you will know the user's forum username, which can be easily found using the forum's search box.

Sorry, maybe I didn't use the right words, I didn't mean a specific board for DT members like the boards in the forum for discussion between members and writing topics, no it's not.

What I meant is a board like Leaderboard (on which important achievements are usually placed in any forum) means a board for placing names only not for writing, so that the names of DT members are permanently placed there with access to their profiles, so that forum members can easily identify them.

We? No, not WE, YOU! Why do you assume every user here checks that or even cares about it?
A quick search on that last page and I see my name mentioned 20 times but I never once wasted a second to see if I'm on DT or out of it.
So why are you so much interested in who's in and out? You realize you're raising eyebrows with this, right?

Heh, maybe he raised this topic up just so he can follow who's not performing his/her duties. Like a DT police or probably concerned for their wellbeing, who knows Grin. Somehow, it brings me to believe that some of us here just get bothered about unnecessary things. Just an observation.

How in the name of god do you plan on searching for somebody if you don't know their name?  Grin
And if you can't even remember his name, why do you even care about his DT status?

I don't see any strong reasons why this change should be done. Maybe alphabetical order would look better for you, but it doesn't makes list more convenient to use. It's not really difficult to use search in your browser if you want to find specific names in that list.
Also, as said above, LoyceV have lists of users who were added and who were removed and it makes skimming proccess much easier.

The list is renewed and not fixed. Perhaps the addition is made according to date or importance. I do not know, so it may not be possible to arrange the list alphabetically.

In any case, I use the browser search via Ctrl + F, where you can search for any name quite easily. Personally, I prefer if there is a special board for DT members on which the names are placed and fixed in a fixed place in the forum for everyone to see.

Pointless, it's just like an extra work to looks better.

If the user is selected by @theymos to become DT1, but there are many DT members distrust him, his feedback become useless. Even the user didn't be included become DT1, his feedback will show in trusted feedback because he's still become DT2, both of DT1 and DT2 feedback have a same weight.

They are in the order of user id numbers, but those are omitted from the report.

Just copy the list and paste it into a spreadsheet.  You can paste the old and the new lists side by side, compare them as they are or arrange them alphabetically if you like.
