Their website is down now, pretty sure it won't come online again. What bothers me is,why would an admin spend thousands of $ for a forum who is not even monetized yet? Doesn't make any sense unless there is something sketchy behind it.

Edit:Here's the ETH addy of the admin:https://etherscan.io/address/0xba0d86e83ada8e9faeaf3c0d14f210654739a6c7
He already paid new members rewards including 0.5 ETH for 100 posts, too much sketchiness for today lol.

Can not I conclude that this is a fraudulent campaign ? But according to the analysis of people here, I think that I should not join because it will take time to work in vain.

Can not open icoforums.net website, do they want to pay real money or just want to increase registration number. I also expect a good campaign but their request is too high.

I wouldn't jump to any rash conclusions just yet.  This isn't even a large amount of money to most crypto investors, lets wait for the first 2 weeks to see if they end up paying.

Those rates are generous, I'll say that.  Don't know if any of it is a scam or not, but I'll be paying attention to this one.

Whether or not they pay these campaign participants, their chances of successfully launching a new forum is fairly slim--unless members can use their signature space to advertise like they can here.  Somebody tried it last year and even had a campaign going, and not only didn't the participants get scammed but the forum only had spammers visiting it.  The link to the scam accusation is here.  So this icoforum thing is probably going to be no better than icodiscuss.  We'll see.

The only other fairly decent 'new' breed of forum that I have seen are Bitcoinpub and bitcoingarden. But the pub is anti BTT and they are very trigger friendly when it comes to criticism. And garden is mostly overrun with shittiness.

However the outright denial to escrow, the cartoonishly large sum of money entrusted to a bounty monkey turned campaign manager; that does not even know how to manage entries or setup a decent and organized application form are huge red flags for me.

Yeah, that's the big red flag to me.  By itself it might mean nothing, but along with the pay rates that seem too good to be true just for a new forum, my nose smells some funk on this one.  I'm not sure how those rates can be paid by a project that doesn't have a well-defined revenue stream.

I probed them a little more and soon the admin (idiot) removed my post. Here's how the conversation went :

The admin guy is the bounty hunter turned "campaign manager" who is supposedly "just following owner" lol

This is why I hate these new forums as it is so easy for them to just sush away anything negative and screen content. Bitcointalk is too big and in the mainstream for that shit to happen.

I am also watched that thread and they were paying huge rewards for a week which is the thing that make the people to think as scam, and also if we watch the post history of iamsediii he is just a pure bounty hunter then why we need to trust them for holding 1000ETH Shocked.

Maybe there are chance to steal the information which has been used for signup so we never have to use the same password of Bctalk to signup there.

I applied to join them and now that I think about it, it does seem too good to be true. I will reach out to admins and try to probe them for a response.

We'll see how this pans out.

Well. They rejected me and the reason is pretty darn stupid. Just shows they hired an incompetent guy for the job.

I also wrote about this on their forum : https://icoforums.net/topic/386/icoforums-is-in-danger

as for now they are updated on the payment of their forum contest participants, ive been paid twice , one is on the activity contest the other is in link promotion. as for their signature campaign it is too early to accused them of being a scam

No one is accusing them of scam. But anyone refusing to do escrow is worthy of suspicion.

Is it necessary make 42 post, means 6 post per day. Condition is post should be meaningful.

The 42 number seemed odd, I assumed they were Douglas Adams fans.

If you check it out though, 30 of these posts are required to be done on another forum. They are only requiring 12 to be on BTCT. So there requirement shouldn't directly cause spam on this forum.

They even haven't responded to this yet.

As far as escrow goes, that's up to the participants to decide if it's worth the risk wearing the signature. Coolcryptovator did quote the part of the OP where they say they will not escrow. I think I've seen 2 campaigns to date that cut and run. Both obviously without escrow. I guess we'll know after week one.

That altcoin signature campaign started out on the wrong board (Services) too.

Greed makes it easy to scam people. If they would really have that much money to spend on a campaign, it would be very easy to make a credible campaign and get high quality posters. But they don't, and the thread is started by a bounty spammer.

There will be spam instead of meaningful post. Because it's not easy to make 6 constructive post per day.
You can use the thread to detect and report spammers Cheesy

3.) Participants must publish atleast 42 meaningful posts per week which must have a minimum length of 75 characters

Head Admin will hold "1000ETH and provide the ETH Wallet, but not to send to Escrow." - as he said.

1000 ETH isn't small amount , they don't trust escrow.

1.) Be registered at the forum icoforums.net

May be they want increase their registers.

Although they are payment is much higher from other campaign. But I feel it's not safe for participant.
