UPDATE:
How do I deposit?
We have enabled P2P deposits via Swish! You will need to have Swish.
How do I Withdraw?
You may withdraw via our in-built P2P escrow to your bank account using Swish.
The mobile number has to be the SAME number used to open the account with us at FYB. You will not be able to change the number.
How does the P2P system work?
A User who wishes to do a deposit will essentially be buying another Users withdrawal request. The deposit/withdrawal amount options are pre-set for now. This may change in the future. We ONLY provide an in-built escrow platform!
Due to HIGH fraud, which we have been dealing with since inception, Users who wish to deposit SHALL have to place a collateral of 0.1
BTC as a show of good faith. This HOLD on the 0.1
BTC will be reversed upon confirmation of receipt by the User withdrawing.
Example:
User who wants to Deposit: D
User who wants to Withdraw: W
D has an account with Us and has a positive bitcoin balance of at least 0.1
BTC*
1/ Go to “Deposit” page
2/ Select “Amount”
3/ Click “Deposit” - You now have
10 MINUTES to complete this transaction
4/ If there is a matching withdrawal request, skip to step 5. If there is no withdrawal available, either try again later or select a different amount.
5/ Follow instructions, send payment of “Amount” selected to number shown with message shown
6/ Click “Yes, i have sent!” only
AFTER you have sent the Swish payment. A temporary HOLD is now placed on 0.1
BTC in collateral
7/ Wait for W to acknowledge
8/ W receives Swish notification of incoming payment with ticket number as reference
9/ W receives mail from Us to confirm receipt of incoming Swish transaction with ticket number as reference
10/ W clicks link in mail
11/ D gets “Amount” credited to his/her account with Us & the 0.1
BTC hold is released
12/ D gets email informing him/her of the deposit
D buys
BTC and is very happy! W gets his fiat and is satisfied.
Why Swish?
Appeared to be the best way to use the banking P2P app to let people make P2P payments, plus it has a 2FA (BankID) built into it - higher security.
Why the security deposit of 0.1BTC?
Idiots were randomly clicking “Yes, I have sent!” without sending anything. This is to keep them at bay.
Doesn’t it discriminate new buyers looking to obtain their first coin?
Unfortunately yes. However, Chrome has to be downloaded by another browser. It’s a long term solution based on the concept of game theory and we believe it will prove itself against the test of time.
And as a bonus . . .
Privacy concerns:
1/ What information do you collect when a User registers?
Email address & phone number. We do not collect any other personal information.
2/ When D makes a P2P Swish deposit W is shown personal information about D and vice versa!
In all voluntary trade (free market capitalism), individuals interact (information exchange). Level of interaction is controlled solely by individuals (ie. amount of information exchanged). Things are very different now, corporations are forced to collect privacy infringing information and store them for way too long because the State says so.
Using our P2P escrow system, D & W see each others names and phone numbers since Swish displays it - we chose to think of it as fraud prevention between themselves.
3/ What information do they see?
That D/W is attempting a financial transaction. That is all.
He/she could possibly be funding his/her account and appears to be interested to buy/sell coins for X amount and via FYB, or not. It's all plausible.
4/ What do We (Company) see?
That order number XXX by UserA was filled by UserB, or still pending.
5/ What happens to the old information collected by Us?
The entity that was tasked to collect and store it is still in-charge of keeping it confidential, but we no longer collect such information. We still stick to our privacy policy and T&C.
6/ What happens when other organizations come to us looking for information?
Please refer to our privacy policy.
7/ Do you have a warrant canary?
Yes,
