BAD BEAT JACKPOT HIT FOR THE 2ND TIME THIS WEEK!
...I still think you should consider increasing the lowest qualifying hand to at least 2222.

I genuinely cannot believe you still do not have re-entry. That is all.

You mean rebuy tourneys?  Too lazy to check but could be good for the smallest of stakes since there's really no serious traffic.  Same with the BBJ..  I think having them down to the micros would really help fill those tables up.  (I know, broken record)

But there are so little uncensored places left that I would prefer at least to have poker chat the way it is.

On the other hand, SWCPoker is a business and open racism is bad for business.

BAD BEAT JACKPOT HIT FOR THE 2ND TIME THIS WEEK!

The Bad Beat Jackpot on SwC was hit for the second time in a matter of days for 271,162 chips! Congratulations to the winners!

asfbhero lost the hand with Aces Full of Tens but won 94,906 chips (0.094 BTC) from the jackpot!

ChooChooooo won the pot with Aces Full of Jacks and collected 54,232 chips from the jackpot.

The other four players dealt into the hand all received a table share of 10,168 chips each.

WINNERS:

asfbhero 94,906
ChooChooooo 54,232
hardtime 10,168
Zinco 10,168
Mat197777 10,168
leggieblufs1 10,168

Jackpot has been reseeded and is now over 85,473!

I'm just wondering if there are players who still join and have a full house of 8 or 5, whether the most who get BBJ are those who have card 5 among cards 8, KK and QQ

The Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered when a player at one of the designated BBJ tables loses with AAATT or better, both players play both hole cards, and there are at least four players dealt into the hand.

The player that loses the hand receives 35% of the jackpot; the player that wins the hand receives 20%; and everyone else at the table that was dealt into the hand shares 15%.

Please forgive my ignorance/lack of knowledge, but these chip totals only add up to a little over 750,000 chips. How does that equate to a BBJ of over 1 BTC?

The rest goes to SWC and to reseed the jackpot.

https://swcpoker.eu/post/bad-beat-jackpot-starting-at-100k for more info.

Thank you SkyReVo.

Visit that link for full BBJ details. In short, when hit the jackpot pays out as follows:

  • 35% to the loser of the hand
  • 20% to the winner of the hand
  • 15% shared between all other players dealt into the hand
  • 10% house fee

The remainder is used to seed the next jackpot.

We just hit the Bad Beat Jackpot! First time I ever won part of a jackpot like this, very exciting honestly!

Table got ~32k, winner of the hand got 0.2 BTC, loser of the hand got 0.375 BTC (rough estimates).

I have to say, this promotion was a stroke of genius from SWC (the no extra rake part), whoever came up with that should get a pat on the back.

Also good job on reeling the chat in atleast somewhat.

SWC is fun lately.

Our goal is to give players from all over the world a place to have fun playing low rake bitcoin poker.

Although chat remains uncensored & we allow players the freedom to share differing opinions, chat is a privilege that can be revoked by management if it becomes an issue.

We've learned that there is a small but loud group abusing this freedom. As we review chat logs and gain more info further actions will be taken.

We are open to suggestions from the community and want to work together to create the most player-friendly poker site in the world.

I personally have nothing against unmoderated chat. Many of us sit behind our computers all day long barely going outside at all. If we were only watching censored TV and YouTube, censored shows on Netflix and reading politically correct messages on social media platforms, how the hell we'd know what people really are? How could we prepare ourselves for the real world?

I'm not saying that racist jokes are okay, or anything, but let's leave it on the conscience of those who say them. If we don't like them we can ignore them, or, maybe, user should have an option to mute this or that player for him/her personally.  But there are so little uncensored places left that I would prefer at least to have poker chat the way it is.

We love your attitude throughout this thread and thank you for being a part of SwC.

Chat will remain uncensored. We welcome players from all over the world and allow them the freedom to express a wide variety of opinions. There is no poker site that gives players this much freedom. If a user doesn't wish to engage or see chat from certain players they are encouraged to right click on that player and ignore them.

However, chat has always been a privilege and if user abuses this freedom and their chat becomes disruptive it is subject to being revoked.

This also applies to spamming or flooding chat, posting explicit hyperlinks, posting referral codes and advertisements for other sites, making threats, doxxing other users, etc.

These rules are not new and although we choose to give a lot of leeway, action will be taken when necessary. Repeated violations will result in a permanent loss of chat.

Regarding SwC Poker's lobby chat, players can choose to ignore users by right clicking on their username.

I'd support a slightly filtered chat, but on the other hand, I think what makes SwC unique is it's "wild west" approach online poker.

Things I believe should be filtered:

Yes - Racial slurs, Links, Foreign languages, 4+ messages sent in under ~30 seconds

No - Cursing
