Our entire promotional strategy/schedule is being evaluated. Again, we don't have a definitive timeline. But we are hoping that Krillrolls will return as a regular benefit for the players.
Would you consider something like I propose year ago here?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10767975The point is to encourage recreational players. Those are mostly players who loosing money.
I have always thought lluboski always makes good suggestions.
BTW here is Micon's response to the linked post.
kind of like the idea of a weekly & monthly krill-roll(s), something where you must earn X krill within the week/month.
also must keep the legacy krill-rolls in some fashion.
Lots to consider, and likely at least 1 month away before rolling them out.
TY Micon
Again the point being getting players to both login and play on a daily/regular basis.
yea thats a good idea, I've also suggested doing some sort of individual weekly krill "goals" so earning X amount of krill will get you Y amount of chips. that way low stakes players who put a lot of volume in can be rewarded as well.
The idea behind weekly krill-rolls at that time was that SWC as a new site needed encourage players from old Seals to play on SWC.
Nobody would really blame them for changing Krill-rolls requirements at that time. It was good time to introduce the change without risk.
I am fairly certain if SWC would introduced for example 1BTC weekly for anyone who earn 200 krill for the week then, SWC traffic would be much
better now ( it would cost them nothing, they paid out the Bitcoins anyway).
Situation is different now. Old Seals players are gone and SWC don't have too many coins to spend for promotions.
I still think SWC need to do something, maybe 500 chips weekly krill-roll for anyone who earn 100-200 krill for the week?
SWC can announce special promo for 2 month, reevaluate and choose to continue with the promotion or not.
It would cost 4 Bitcoins. Hopefully they can still afford it. Players would be happy they got something and SWC will find out if they can increase
ring game traffic that way. If work as intended net cost for SWC should decrease over time. For example 1st week qualifies 30 players,
2nd week 40, 3rd week 50,etc.
What you suggest is a rake-back. For that to have any impact, SWC would have to pay players to play. I know the krill roll is essentially
the same thing, but for some reason I thing it's more acceptable and interesting.
It wold be nice to have SWC opinion.
