With regards to the upgrades available later. Will these officially work with the 6 port Jupiters?

If yes, then I am assuming you will just need to open the case, plug the ribbon cables inside. Then slap on the right heat sink for the additional modules and leave these modules outside the case while connected to the main board

Cheers

Officially these are for Mercuries, and Saturns. Unifficially...

Thanks O'rama. Order placed using your Reseller link for what its worth (if you ever manage to get credit for that)

Cheers

Haha, alas, it's the units not he board, but respect for thinking of me, appreciated.

The access to the webshop crashed and there was a scramble for 2 mins to stop the sale.

In which time the sales were oversubscribed, but those orders will be fulfilled.

That was nuts it, Bitpay even went offline for a moment. Error #404.

ordered 3, you guys better pray that it will work after soldering.
what you mean soldering???

I assume he plans on upgrading to more than 4 modules, thus needs to solder additional plugs onto the control board.

don't think they are gone that fast, think once you order they take you out of the upgrade module pool of customers.....no web access anymore.

No, I think they must be gone. I thought maybe they had added the page but not activated it yet because it said not available, but upon checking this thread it seems they were available for a moment.

I wonder what proportion of them actually went up upgrade Mercury and Saturn units that people had bought becuase they were purported to be able to be upgraded, and what percent to Jupiters that originally had not been supposed to be able to be upgraded?

Seems maybe all the Jupiter people who were never promised upgrade-ability in the first place might have snapped them all up leaving all the Mercury and Saturn owners who had bought with the purported ability to upgrade in mind unable to ever upgrade at all?

And don't forget the eBay flippers without any mining equipment at all. I'm sure we'll see these upgrade modules for sale once they ship.

Maybe if they had advertised Mercury and Saturn units as never able to be upgraded from the start they would have sold less of them and more Jupiters...

Glad I got in there,

They went pretty damn quick.

Would love to be at NewEgg going "Hey what the f**k are all these heatsinks selling for??!?!"

Also made it VERY clear that I actually wanted UPS and not DHL shipping.

May actually get it in less than a week

Snagged one.
Then at the last moment I wanted 2, but they were removed from the listing :S Oh well! Thats what you get when you hesistate, just like the original Jupiter order you goofball!!!!  Cheesy

But yeah, shipping was rather expensive. If its truly next day, ok, but $70 to NY was a lot for a board with no heatsink. My Mercury cost $120 and that included the heatsink AND metal case.

They could have left the page up though!! That information was nice.
