I got that on a shipment of live Maine lobsters to South Texas in the summer. Not sure if ups went to the base across the street or DHS held it up. I got it a few hours later alive with no explanation. UPS sux big time.

The only winners in the ASIC generation before this all started falling apart are Avalon Batch 1, maybe some of Avalon Batch 2 (the ones that Yifu didn't screw), the earliest June 23rd orders in BFL...and that's roughly about it.

You've forgotten AsicMiner initial shareholders and Bitfury August delivery to complete your list. Everything else is more or less deep in the red ink.

let me put it this way:

-there are 3600BTC a day
-you want to get a whole one just for yourself

=> then you have to pay for 1/3600 of the hole global bitcoin network hardware, electricity and maintenance

*yes, very simple black/white...just want to point out this very aspect

"Was this by individual email?"

Yes, from KNC support.

So what did you choose? Refund or wait?

I'll wait.

I've just been offered the option to cancel my OCTOBER delivery orders (end of the queue, at this moment still showing "paid") for a full refund. Or i can wait "few more days" to be built and shipped with no further compensations.
Simply because KNC finally dropped that imperative and annoying "NO REFUNDS" made me take a decision.

If they are now offering refunds for October, that tells me they are further behind than they care to admit.  My guess is it will take more than just "a few days".

Maybe, but at least now I will only be able to blame myself for my potential financial loss, not KNC for refusing refunds. It's a lot less frustrating to think that way... I think Smiley

Was this by individual email? An alternative might be to ask for November pricing and be placed at the start of the November queue. Would be interested in that as an option myself.

Bitcoinorama, it is quite important that an official statement is issued on this. Don't want another BFL vs Paypal fiasco, with some getting different options from others.

As an aside, their shipping page (https://www.kncminer.com/pages/shipping) is a nice 404.

And their bank is the (SS) ESSESESS. No wonder it's sinking... (movie ref Smiley )

The only cost might be UPS were already paid and you'd lose $120 on throwing that label in the dustbin.

A label is fully refundable up until the time the UPS driver scans the package. There is no excuse for not offering full refunds as promised up until the time the package is picked up.

Not disagreeing with you at all, I think they should offer refunds up until they ship the customers particular order however you did agree to their terms which stated no refunds once they start shipping and obviously they started shipping...

Shipping is "personal", not "company-wide". It's no refund until *your* order is shipped, not *any* order is shipped.

Edit: unless specified contractually for B2B customers. It doesn't mean companies like BFL aren't abusing the wording...

I stand corrected. I remember seeing the specific terms on the KnC Website but cannot find them anymore. However I did find this

We see no reason why it cant work like that, the only addition I will add is that the refund will be 100% with the order cancelled, We wont be offering a discount/refund and still shipping you the boxes. Refunds are offered up to the day of shipment of your order.

Above all else we will be fair.

Sam

I'm only here to promote logic and facts so unless I can stumble upon that specific Refund Policy I saw on the website the above is what I'll go on.

They changed the T&Cs, so it's hard to say what was in them at the time (unless s.o. has a copy).

(I wasn't "correcting" you, it was just a general statement, sorry it appeared as such)

All of my orders have now been changed from PAID to IN PROGRESS.

#   Status

45XX   In progress

45XX   In progress

36XX   In progress

17XX   In progress

Did all of them change just now, or were some already "in progress"

Not OP but just a few hours ago, my order 29xx was "In Progress" since late last week, whereas 42xx was "Paid"

Both now in "In Progress" status
