US gov spending shutdown will have international ripple effect as payoffs fail to be made.

US customs must be suffering from gov spending shutdown.  Somebody necessary to approve shipments must have gotten an unpaid vacation.   Shipping in Sweden communicates intent to ship something, awaits a usual response from US customs which is non-forthcoming.  Shipping stops.

So really it's the Tea Party to blame.
Triple self quote.  Wonder what that means.

Not much.  Deleted a quote by someone else to which I had replied.  My direction didn't follow his faithfully.

--SNIP--

Second question. Someone in this thread disassembled the KNC firmware (can't find the quote) and found a 6 module option. Is this form factor in construction at the factory?

--SNIP--

It would be great if you could shine some light on what is actually being built by KNC. That was your original purpose for visiting Sweden? This isn't trolling. These are valid questions.

The info about 6 module miners presented by others in this thread to date:

The SW and mainboard has provisions for a 6 module unit.

The pictures from the datacenter buildout show shelves with standoffs to mount 6 modules.

No 6 module miner has been announced or reported in the wild.

The mainboard appears to be capable of mounting a second BBB.
Reports from the field indicate that the BBB does better with 3 modules or less.
It has been speculated that the BBB with the current SW is at or near or over a limit with 4 modules.
Modders are in the process of doing further research.

This could be a sw limit or it could be a hw limit in the BBB as implimented by KnC.

Hopes this answers your question.

When did you pay for your miner (Sorry if you already said this and I missed it)?

Looks like they are up to June 19th Pay date (Most orders for ASIC Miners are made within the first week or two so it will likely be going much quicker.

On the "KnC Skype Group" someone just said they picked up their order from KnC, they are definitely shipping units out.

August 12th, 56##

Took me a while to muster the funds... I suppose I just felt that KNC were selling themselves as super-efficient and they would get the October block orders dispatched within at most one difficulty window (as they suggested by specifying the October 15th deadline). Timing is everything, as we all know. My loss is your gain. Zero sum fun!

just wondering what your personal views are as someone with access to the KNC order book and an interest in the ethics of businesses involved in the mining business.

Not trying to take anything away from your questions - which I too would like to hear the answers to - but I think bitcoinorama explicitly said that he does not have access to the KnC order book unfortunately...

He said he was sitting besides four customer services representatives who did :-) I'm just annoyed because this is the second time I've fallen for an over-confident ASIC manufacturer making bold claims:

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-37

Would be nice to get the honest answer for once about why things always seem to go tits up after some lucky people get an early delivery. Either KNC have just gone over the top paranoid about quality assurance after the variance in hashing rate per module and exploding capacitors, or they are filling the data centre with someone's off order book units, or something else completely. Who knows? Bitcoinorama might :-)

How can you compare KnC with Avalon or even BFL?HuhHuhHuhHuh?? Seriously HuhHuh?

No need they did it for me, lol

Like the old saying goes a picture says a thousand words Smiley

I blame it on Snowden.  He sensitized the establishment such that now it overreacts.  Let's say a govt agency known for snooping asks _that_ miner manufacturing company (won't be named) to let the agency copy all emails and orders from customers because of a potential terrorist threat, the use of BTC to finance terrorism.  They agree and feel now they can rest assured they'll be smiled upon in any lawsuit because behind the scenes it will be known they help the good guys.  Not good as their ethics are questionable.  They see competition (KnC) is going to kicktheirass.  Meeting at a European Bitcoin Conference, a spokesman for _that_ miner manufacturing company, gets the ear of KnC reps and hints what they're doing.  Since Sweden works agreeably with that US agency on many matters, KnC takes it as a hint they should follow suit to assist the good guys.  But, delays have nothing to do with helping the good guys.  Delays are the stock in trade of _that_ questionable US miner manufacturing company and leads KnC people astray.  The motive is greed and to cause an impediment to KnC success.

There's a brown to the lower dirt there.  From NY, the dirt on LI, except at the shore or out east, was a deep rich dark soil loaded with earthworms.  Early in this planet's history there was a collision with another, smaller, planet and the moon was formed.  I'm convinced the dirt down here in the south is from that alien planet.  It's red as Mars, lies dense as red brick, and has a thin layer of top soil completely unlike anything on LI.  This has to be alien what I'm living on.  What's up north is the real earth.

Sounds like SR closure didnt prevent you from scoring...

Bitcoinorama, here are a few difficult questions. This is not trolling, just wondering what your personal views are as someone with access to the KNC order book and an interest in the ethics of businesses involved in the mining business.

What is the status of the substantial Cloudhashing order:

All

As communicated to all customers. The delays are down to us awaiting delivery of a large number of mining equipment purchased on behalf of our customers.

We greatly regret the delays but bear with us as we are daily increasing our hashing power and should have you at 100 percent capacity very soon.

These delays affect everyone in the mining business.

Thanks

Emmanuel

Which you have called out as an unethical business:

Actually ignore everything I've just said about talent, it gets worse - as we know Emmanuel Adedeji is behind Cloud Hashing, and on the 'Cloud Hashing' Facebook page, there he is fraudulently posing as a customer asking questions, he then answers to himself as Cloud Hashing;

Emmanuel Adedeji
@cloudhashing I really appreciate what you guys are doing at cloudhashing. I will like to buy in the July contracts. But will like to know, at the current difficulty level, how much will I get weekly if I buy 10Gh/s?

Cloud Hashing
At the current difficult level you should earn more than 10 bitcoins per Gigahash per year making 100 bitcoins.

Disgraceful business ethics!!

...and they've clearly bought the Facebook likes...

Second question. Someone in this thread disassembled the KNC firmware (can't find the quote) and found a 6 module option. Is this form factor in construction at the factory? If so, are the orders for that option being processed in queue order? You said previously that 700 units had been built and 1000 remained to be shipped. Does that 1700 units include all orders, or are there non-public, off order book units being built simultaneously?

One thing which really swings in Hashfast's favour is their publically available order book:

https://hashfast.com/order-chain/

It would be great if you could shine some light on what is actually being built by KNC. That was your original purpose for visiting Sweden? This isn't trolling. These are valid questions.

Bargraphics, don't you have about 10 miners that you need to tend to, (or prior posts to delete) instead of telling all of us who don't to chill out?
Bitcoinorama, the truth has a certain scent to it, as does bullshit.  Avenger is not the one with the stink. You're not helping anything or anyone.

If anyone needs to STFU it's those who think we should just bend over and take it.

11 Miners and no, they are happily hashing away in the KnC Datacenter. (over 111 coins so far as a very happy Day 1 Customer)

Wow just when I was starting to give up hope I wake up this morning to see 0.01 btc mined on my eligulus account.
Still says in progress. 239x paid the 19th of June.

Yeah, the order management system isn't the greatest.

- Order 34x - In progress - hashing at my residence
- Order 34x - Paid - hashing at KNC data center (technically this was moved to order 842x to credit back unused shipping)
- Order 97x - Shipped - hashing at my residence
