I think KNC won't finish shipping batch #1 until the end of Oct.

Did i invest in the wrong company? Hashfast babyjet will likely ship on the 30th of this month instead of the reported 20th because that is what they originally told me in an email before they updated their dates; however, for $7,100, about the price of a Jupiter, I could have gotten 400 gh/s overclocked to 540 gh/s + an upgrade kit, of $1,500, for 540 more overclocked gh/s. So, that means I would have had 1,080 th/s at the start of November. WTF. This totally sucks, my ROI would have been a lot higher, especially since kncminer has my ~2000 order , June 11th, "in progress" since Saturday or Sunday morning, and my ~2100 order, June 13th, just "paid." The only way I am making a comparative ROI is if KNCMINER delivers soon. DAMN.

COME ON KNCMINER, YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOSE IT

Don't forget the MPP which will multiply your hashing power by 5x after 3 months if you're not getting the full ROI.  Beat that.

Not to mention a much more efficient chip, ie, lower power consumption.

Perhaps the intake fan is disrupting the air flow towards to the HSF?

I would interested to see a coloured smoke air flow test. To see where it travels through the case.

Me thinks the case needs some exhaust fans.

Which firmware are you on there dude? Seems to be working as well as any I've seen.
im on 0.94...
also, i just removed the case fans...and guess what>>>

peaking well over 300 gh/s now on 5s avg... about 1/4th the time, it fluxes a bit, but much higher avg, and lower temps as you see...

OK just popped out and grabbed some 20cm fans to sit on top, i'll just let the results speak for themselves...for $20 fan!

Before - 528.4 Average/ 6% HW/ 1% Rejects
After - 545 Average /4% HW / 0.2% Rejects

Temps

No fan 55     1 min 56    3 mins 53   10 mins 51.5 (7% drop)
No fan 59    1 min 51    3 mins 47   10 mins 46 (22% drop)
No fan 57    1 min 48.5    3 mins 44   10 mins 43 (24.5% drop)
No fan 50    1 min 44    3 mins 41   10 mins 40 (20% drop)

Temps stabalised after the 10 min mark as I assume the max heat load had been reached

Note: I have only seen 1 core disable note the entire hour i've been watching! This is also a huge improvement.

On my second Jupiter the average hash also increase about 20Gh/s (540->560) and similar temp drops of 10-20% across all ASICs.

Could you up a pics of the miner in such conf? That way i'll be sure to understand correctly

@sbfree -- I feel your pain, this is total fucking bullshit the way this is going down. They "start shipping" on October 1, and 9 days later, they're not through the first two days of orders, miners are showing up in pieces, catching in fire, hashrates well below what was advertised, hosting in shambles. This is a fucking logistical trainwreck no matter how "fucking smart" these Swedes are according to Bitcoinorama. So much for being a beacon for the Bitcoin mining community. The best I can hope to do is to pass this butthurt on to some unsuspecting noob on eBay. This sucks ass!!!!!!!

Hey man, look on the bright side. We who bought these rigs get preference in the orders for the gen 2 ..so we get the honour of working the bugs out of those too Cheesy

I repost the below as my standard reply to getting more ASIC units at this time ....ahem

quote

Well I don't need another girlfriend..ie ...I'm still paying thru the nose for the ex-wife BFL (the skank took me for everything) ..the new girlfriend KNC seems spunky enough but she is kinda a flake on being on time...but then again I've heard she gives great GH.....as to Hashfast...well.....alas.....no $$$ no desire.....no hope on that...I'm tap'd out Smiley

endquote

sorry it is a truthful if painful analogy for me getting more stuff.....alas crap'd out $$$ wise humor aside...(not sure about will at this point either for another round on the merrygoround of ASIC purchases by the by)

11th of Oct 2013. Day 1/early preorder/early paid order with hosting here. Still no login/details/access to pool.

ZZZ

130GH/s out of 550GH/s is better than 0GH/s out of 550GH/s Roll Eyes

Didn't you get the memo?
