Update on the 0.93 cgminer restarts (Saturn):

I have the Saturn miner running with Bitminter as primary pool. Minimum difficulty had been
manually set (on the pool web interface) to 128.

With this setup, the miner and the pool often switch up to difficulty 256 and back to 128.

Today I reconfigured the Bitminter pool for a minimum difficulty of 256.
Since then, I did not see any cgminer restart. cgminer is now running for more than 8h 11h.
In the past the max. I could observe had been 3h.

when you check inside might be worth having a look at this post from the knc forum. http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/main-category/hardware/5640-verify-correct-fan-installation

PSA

Be sure to check the inside of the units. I had two units both that had the fan cowls come off during shipment. There are easy to replace, you just need a torx driver to remove the screws and then the cowls pop back on. Just use the other fans as reference for the correct orientation.

i am afraid that the current fw actually may be damaging the hardware and am therefore also looking forward to 0.94

I hope people that aren't paying for hosting are being held up by those who are.  I'm not getting compensated for the delays like the hosted people are.

Have any tracking numbers gone out today?

I think the same like you do... Production day 2 is a week now (confirmed for shipping) & no tracking for today again.  Sad

Well they have about 5 working days to their supposed "all order by..." date.  So I guess us Day 2 people should have our orders soon enough.  If not, then I hope they offer some sort of compensation for us as well.

My hosting place has taken 4 people 2 weeks to setup... and Im not even close to their size. They needed to have started earlier

I know about the complexity. I did run an internet service provider 20 years ago and we later did offer hosting as well.

Today, I would not setup my own hosting facility anymore. Just buy this service (space, AC, power, internet) from a big hosting provider.
You might even buy the 19" racks. Get a "cage" or some dedicated rooms for security reasons.
No problems to scale up and you can scale down. KnC should focus on their special skills and not try to do everything
on their own.

But maybe they just rented hosting space...

I expect some more facts form KnC!

I'm guessing that you haven't looked at any of the pictures of them building out their data center, right?  Or the pictures of three foot high piles of Corsair bags from unboxing hundreds of PSUs, or anything at all...

I suspect that the delay in hosting is pride.  It is such a simple matter to get an internet connection and point to a pool.  Setting up your own pool (especially with as much hashing power as we're talking about here) might be a big hurdle in an of itself.  Temporarily pointing everyone to another pool should be an option.  Pride can be a bitch.
has to be costing them hundreds of thousands per day....
hmmmmm...... Maybe they are 'quietly' pointing the idle miners somewhere else (or solo mining) and earning coins to cover the 1BTC per day deal.

Anyone know what the cut-off date was for October deliveries?

I thought it was mid August but I see a mixture I think. (And was KNC accepting reservations before the payment date?)
I'm in a group buy here with order #4999 on a Jupiter and we all pretty much think an October delivery.

Thoughts appreciated,
IAS

Has anyone gotten a refund on hosting with KnC and switched over to another provider successfully?
