If your miner isn't performing, make sure one or more of the fans hasn't fallen off the heatsink. They're just on there by friction mainly. They click in, but rough shipping can dislodge 'em.

Don't be afraid, plenty of miners working just fine no reason to complain hence no post. I get 550 Gh/s with both units I received this morning with 0.93 updated; no crash no noise no heat no "fumes" nothing but hashing. IMPRESSIVE  Kiss Tongue Kiss

Kudos to KNC

turdit, mind letting us know what what your order #/ pay date??

Trying to get a feel as to where they are in the shipping queue.

It sounds like a lot of units are just not working right.  The last few pages are scary.

My second hosted Jupiter is only mining at an effective hashrate of 300GH with massive HW failures. Bad chip? Insufficient cooling?
hosted where?

I would try and have the guy run it over to marcus

FWIW you could also quit cgminer (hit q) and then do a "restart -r 0" to restart (in zero seconds).

To prevent forest fires, make sure you put a lot of ram heatsinks on all your components and have nice fans.

Try a manual restart of cgminer. S then C
IDK why but when mine restarts from the script I get these errors and when I restart manually it clears up. Perhaps some clues would be in the missing source code...

My 2 hosted Jupiters are still MIA but I did get one delivered.  Two fans came off the heat sync but after fixing that the unit turned on without issue.  The only thing that drove me nuts was a bad network cable and the Eligius pools seemed to be down..  (pool rate dropped under 10 th/s, so it appeared that the pool was having issues)

I did use a paperclip to get the power supply turned on but I don't want to keep it like that so I just ordered something to make it a bit more clean.  (http://www.ebay.com/itm/JUMP-START-ATX-EPS-24-PIN-POWER-SUPPLY-WITHOUT-A-MOTHERBOARD-MADE-IN-USA-/261270136936?pt=US_Power_Cables_Connectors&hash=item3cd4e9e868)

To find the unit on my network using a windows machine I used NMAP (nmap -sP 192.168.85.1/24).  The Jupiter shows up as a Texas Instruments device.   Grabbed the URL and used a browser to configure the unit.  For now I changed pools to BTCGuild and hit apply.  Seconds later I saw hashes hitting the pool.

I didn't change the firmware, currently running .91.  Hash rate is between 560-570 (97.2% accepted shares).  At the beginning (first 20 minutes, it was showing 80%-85% accepted but it appears that it got less errors over time)

The unit is super quiet.  Sounds like a desktop computer with an SSD.  The case is currently off since I had to fix the fans and was in a hurry to get it up and running.  Tomorrow I'll put the case back on and change back to Eligius.  I'll probably setup a failover pool but want to make sure that won't mess with any updates KNC will be pushing out.  For now, I have no reason to upgrade the firmware as the unit is working just as KNC said.

I wish I had my other two units though!   Good luck everyone!

Doing better than my unit. Been running for about 2 hours, currently averaging 509.7 GH/s according to cgminer. My 5sec average is consistently above 550 GH/s though, so maybe there's some low, old data that is influencing the average. We'll see by tomorrow morning.

[edit] also, error rate seems to be high at about 6.8% (if i'm calculating correctly: cgminer's HW/A).

Received my Jupiter today. One of the large fans in the back (not the heatsync fans) seems to just not work. Should I not be mining?

Connect it to a desktop pc if you have one and see if it work there.
