Quit worrying about customs. UPS employs it's own customs brokerage to make sure everything gets through quickly. It also allows them to gouge the recipient with a $40 brokerage fee, even if no duties are due. Slick business model: get it through fast and tack on fees at both ends.

No doubt. Methinks quite a few members here should visit the BFL threads/forums before getting such a sour taste in their mouth over nitpick communication issues. The fact that units are shipping period, within 365 days of the projected date should have people dancing in the streets.

I'm starting to stress but am trying to be patient. The fact that management console information for hosted customers hasn't been released nor pool login information is beginning to worry me. The decision to go hosted was entirely based on their statement that the units would be hashing within hours of production. Obviously if customers electing to ship receive their units before hosting begins the $2100 I paid for hosting was a complete waste of money.
I guess the hosting facility is not yet ready to receive the devices. Perhaps KnCminer team is very focused to produce the hash generation devices and there is no workforce to finish the hosting facility. In accordance with all the information presented so far, the whole KnCminer team is working under pressure to finish their product and release the official specification of each design. There are plenty of unanswered questions that KnCminer did not yet addressed. That includes the fact that people which chose to pick up their purchase was not yet advised of a date for collection.
Haha! No way thats going to happen. Customs have laws they depend on. Unless mining-hardware is prohibited nothing will happen.
And I bet that includes "Seize anything you are unsure about". I'm not saying it will happen, but it could happen.
KNC might want to hedge against it happening by changing some of the paperwork that goes on the outside of the box to remove the word "bitcoin", to ensure smooth transit. To keep ahead of any problems, as they have done so well up to now.

I've got multiple #3xx and #7xx day-1 orders from KNC and I've received not even a hint of a tracking number. How are people receiving them?

As has been stated, for 1-500 orders the payment date is irrelevant as long as they were paid by 6/10/13. The queue position of those orders is determined by the pre-order (not paid) date.
We will open up the order books soon and give everyone a chance to pay for their preorder (7 days), We will then ship them based on the preorder registration number, not when the order was paid for
as long as the order is paid for within the 7 days we will honor the queue placement. if you pay on day 8 you will simply enter the queue from the back
I hope this helps if you do sell your order number all I will need is an email from both parties and I will do the rest, they will get your queue placement. it can’t however be for more than your registered amount of boxes and we will not split preorders into multiplies

Bitcoinorama, I don't have a dog in the ring, but I am in your corner. Please, review the posts here about hosting, and, if representations were in fact made concerning timely uptimes, beseech KnC to make good on those representations.
Just about everything has been done in a way that has made their performance the anti-BFL, anti-Avalon provider; the good will being generated is assuredly huge and valuable to them. Time and resources are undoubtedly scarce, but please don't let that reservoir of good will be drained by things that slip through the cracks which could be avoided with a little care.
