Fat chance routing to RFC 1913 IP space but whatever.  Saw the link to Putty after watching it a couple times. I like that 580+ hash rate at times.

No doubt, that's the sign of the times  -

just shoot out questions first, then pay attention, then come back and say 'ya of course I knew', then take a joke too seriously, etc etc  rinse repeat OCD ADD, etc

we live in very twitchy times..  i blame social media, 24 hours news, retweets to infinity

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
October 07, 2013, 12:07:33 AM
Met Alex at the Atlanta Bitcoin Conference yesterday.
The miner he had with him was impressively quiet and barely warm.
Looking forward to adding BFGMiner support when my unit gets here Smiley

Hey, Luke, pleasure meeting you in Atlanta, and KnC's miner wasn't at the least warm when I touched it. I'm curious as to what one of those handheld infrared readers would show.

Alex is a great guy! Can't wait to see the pic of him and I.

It's averaging about 550GH at BTC Guild.
Am still trying to figure out how only 1 of 3 "1-500" Jupiters pre-ordered (#58x) together was ready for pick up on thursday. But I guess it's better than none.
Anotherhost is hosting it in Stockholm.

Did you SSH into the box to bring up Cgminer?

do you not see that it is Putty??   go log into his miner @ 172.16.1.6 and point it to your bitcoin address  lulz   Tongue

Hashfast said they will ship in November. I emailed them and they said at around November 30th. Megabigpower said they will ship in October. I talked to them and they said at around October 30th. Cointerra says they will ship in December, but they mean at the end of December. KNCMiner said they will ship in September, and they started shipping on the 30th of September. KNC has been on track with their shipping. it is just that people dont know how to read between the lines.

pro tip:  you can save the connection in putty as a name, and then the IP won't show

Now the question is would they be able to get out all prommised units by the 15th of this month?

Also WE NEED some freaking updates. Being they dont like talking on there OWN forums... Angry Shocked

they gave updates, with the firmware, docs, etc..  you miss them??  they dont pander to reply to comments directly since that is massive waste of time (answer one question directly and 50 come running up afterwards)

you KNOW you would never stop asking questions if they answered you directly on the forums

Did you SSH into the box to bring up Cgminer?   I've seen mention of the web interface for setup but curious how you got that has screen up.  The web interface doesn't have the info in your video.  That video really helped me relax.

Thank you very much for sharing.

Only got 1 of 3 "1-500" Jupiters that were all suppose to ship together.  Sad

Well, I'm doing my part.  I wasted my Day 1 order by paying $2200 for hosting.  That'll keep me from interfering with your profits. FML

ya man i know it sucks but it seems all these long winded debates just boil down to each person wanting their particular issue fixed/resolved in front of the other guy.. there's no 'level headed anything' going on

dog eat dog and all

If it were not for Bitcoinorama, I would have surely gone nutz by now being in the dark as they say... I for one vote that O'rama gets a Jupiter for the service he has provided us in behalf of KNC    He has weathered the storm thru thick & thin

LOL, what service has he provided? Distracting us from the fact that shipping in September went to October.

He tried to share what he saw PERSONALLY.
So we could decide what we were going to do with more info.

KnC are great at ASICs, piss poor at logistics. Not his fault.
Most other vendors would be shipping you a .psd in this timeframe.

He didn't provide a service, it was a favour. To us and to KnC (who aren't exactly the best at communication either).

My only criticism is that he can't box up worth a wank...you always make sure that tape sticks to itself and not just the edges of the cardboard which is very weak as it's designed to adhere to tape. I hope none bust out and get damaged because of that...that would be such a bad thing for the lack of a few seconds taping securely.

Hahahaha, those pictures of boxes, asses and people in white coats surely are a relief to me.

His box skills are lacking, I agree with that. He needs to twist the tape dispenser slightly left or right when he wants it to cut. If it that cardboard is recycled the tape will probably peel off.

WTF, Cratiquing or how ever its spelt how they tape the boxes?

YEAH, TOO FUCKING RIGHT. Rigs are turning up with damaged boxes and with loose parts already. Go check the KnC forum.
Of course, maybe you think producing a machine worth thousands that needs to work from the day it arrives then packing it in second rate flimsy packaging is a good idea? It's moronic to save a few seconds and a dollar on packaging to risk the rigs being damaged.

What happens when your machine turns up broken? Think that's going to be a time saver? Think it's going to mine more coins? You'd be gutted, you'd lose money and have to somehow get it fixed or replaced....all because of a tiny last minute skimping on packing.

The tape is the least problem, nothing to support the fans, holes in boxes because of nothing to reinforce the sides ...like shredded cardboard or inflated plastic bags....normal cheap stuff for most fragile items sent by post.
