also the litecoin payment system is not working, i tried to pay for a 'titan' with LTC but failed 4-5 times. i think its a sign - IE - dont bother.
You read this thread and are still willing to put money down on the no refunds black hole that is:

not quite.

just research, not planning to handout any more free loans that will be used to punish me in just a few short months with NO REFUNDS.

like other scammers, they seem to only want green/noob/uninformed clientele, scared old women & children

i wonder what they were doing before this, probably debt collectors, tv licence/traffic wardens.

Way it is here, is that you can deduct percentage of overheads of your household under "home office" provision for business purposes...

BUT

then you owe capital gains on that proportion of the gain on the sale price when you sell the house if you own it..... So, if you're in an area that's getting popular with a hot real estate market, you might not want to do that if you think you're selling in the next 5 years.

edit: ordinarily primary residence is exempt from capital gains here.

gullibility - everyone who ever ordered a pre-order asic.

yes, i'm guilty of this.  Angry
In that case I'm the Sheriff of Gullible Gulch.

ok i'm Barney Fife.....(yep unloaded gun is good can't shoot myself)

off topic but just figured out what my "gross income" from mining was 2013 (started sept 22nd) 16k and some small change

so 25% off this "gross income" I'd imagine is my due to the Tax Man of $4k

I'm 7500 and change into the knc jupiter w/power supply misl for the KNC Jupiter 555gh from oct

I'm 8500  down for the BFL stuff of which I get 'supposedly" almost get 5k back refund this year or so they say...hmmm..
(not sure how to do this....or even count it at a loss) will be even with refund down
around 3500 bucks loss there more/less them 10% rebates and fees to upgrade to the monarch i'm getting  a refund
don't ya know (here you go 'vaporware fairy" fly away)

Elec heat inet etc is at least 500 bucks (not sure how that works either ) might be as much as 1K no idea what i can take off

just a rough guess ball park how much is the above 4k in taxes gonna be knocked down iyho ANY.... NONE..... ALL?Huh
who the F*ck knows?Huh?

anyway figure someone has a real 'home business" and can answer in  a very rough rough way the above

(jeez would like to get at least 1K knocked of the above tax bill)

ie only mined spent no coin (drank the kool aid)

if this is too far off topic just kill it (hell I'm just venting here anyway)

(well at least it made me look WAY TOO SUCCESSFUL LAST YEAR!!!!! ....sigh)

Searing

man I'm confused..just looked at www.bitcoinratewatcher.com and price is going UP for BTC its at 490....man....
I'm as confused as a 'red shirt" on the Enterprise.....in desperate need of 'enlightenment'

It's official, I'm no longer a KNC customer in waiting. My final refund arrived today. Well, the good thing about it all is I basically just got paid $30,000 for the 31BTC I sold back then.

So, recommendations. Antminer S2 or Spoondoodilies?

if you're looking for profit just buy bitcoins. if you're concerned about the network mining power distribution...

What interpetation we have to give at Q1/Q2 promised delivering ? Depends on meaning of "/" in Q1/Q2. What interpretation to give? In fact, it is entirely plausible That "/" means that the Neptune is delivered between the last days of March and early April. Knc should be more careful in writing the terms of the contract.

from wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_(punctuation)#In_English_text

"In the UK there used to be[when?] a specialised use in prose: 7/8 May referred to the night which starts the evening of 7 May and ends the morning of 8 May, totalling about 12 hours depending on the season. This was used to list night-bombing air-raids which would carry past midnight. Some police units in the USA use this notation for night disturbances or chases. Conversely, the form with an en dash, 7–8 May, would refer to the two-day period, at most 48 hours. This would commonly be used for meetings."

Where is the point ?  everyone here know knc just lurked $$$ in Dec for Jupiters used for themselves and got nothing,

i have one s1 on order and will probably get 1 more but that may be my last rig unless spondoolies start selling their 5TH from 'stock' and at a decent price!!

in-stock is always preferable, I was looking at an S2 but i'm an OCD-suffering-paranoid-harbinger-of-doom - If I order an S2 and chinese customs decide to clamp down on outgoing miners come 12th april, there is the slim chance it'll never see any light past shenzen. (i'm actually predicting this to be a black arrow 'announcement' to advise they can't ship their rigs)

tinfoil hat on. buying nothing from china until i can see deliveries out past the 12th.

The S1 might still turn a profit if you include undervolting it at some point in your calculations when diff gets high, wont get rich from it though!

If BTC price keeps declining we will slam into a wall on difficulty in a not to distant future, I see a lot of fire-sales in the coming months unless the HW manufacturers are saved by another rally.
yes I agree..  I was about to buy ten S1s when BTC fell below 450 but realized I dont fee like adding 3600 kwh usage to my home
you will make money after 3 months but nothing to scream about (except that they might be the ONLY hardware you can buy now and not piss your money away)

I'm in the same boat.  Hoping for some positive news on both the exchange and the S2/Spoondoodles front.  VMC's trying to fire sale some HF hardware but I seriously couldn't bring myself to support HF let alone KSlaughter, that piece of work.

I guess there's always the Dragon miner, but that whole situation is sketchy as hell.

Mining at home or Colo?  Well, actually, unless density is hugely important I'd go with the S2, but only after seeing some end-user reviews.

I like the Spoondidler, but it's loud, pricing is prohibitive, and there's a pretty sizeable delay between order and receive.  It's a really nice looking piece of HW though.

I rent DC space $50/mo per 45U rack plus power, so 30 spoondoodilies in 1 rack is only $100/mo cheaper than 3 racks of 10 S2's

Yeah, but 30u of Spoondoodads is ~45TH, you'd have to use 225u of S2 to get the same output.  Power difference would be negligable in the grand scheme of things.

i was too tired to point out it was an obvious april fools report - but it was definitely believed by the 'special' among us.

i wonder what the chinese made of it - or if they even read coinbase.

im still holding on to my 'customer' humiliation batch 'neptune' but its getting harder to justify it.

also the litecoin payment system is not working, i tried to pay for a 'titan' with LTC but failed 4-5 times. i think its a sign - IE - dont bother.
