+1 here.

I followed your idea and got my November Jupiter down to 825W from 960W whilst still hashing at 760GH/s.
So that's a power reduction from 1.263 W/GH/s to 1.086 W/GH/s. And temps are down a few degrees C as well.
Well worth the time taken (for me, about 30 minutes doing then 30 minutes monitoring for those last few HW errors to stabalise).

That's great, you saw an even bigger power savings! Thanks for posting your results, it should encourage a few more to green up a bit as our returns keep diminishing. Smiley

The post is already several pages back so here's a direct link back:

But how does this effect performance?
With ASICS we are still in the age of performance over power savings.
This is with zero impact to performance. Hashing at 760-770GHz, clocks all at 1000MHz, errors at same level as before tune, just less heat and less power.
Actually for me it's "improved" my hashing performance as I had one PSU kicking off on hot days and now the PSU also runs cooler.

are they late?

like women's issues 'late' or just your normal average bitcoin mining rig 'late'?
it's difficult to ascertain which is which, these days.

Late and overpriced with terrible customer service. Between them, Hashfast and Blackarrow they make KNC look like baby Jesus.
I'll bank on that.  Thank you. I thought I'd missed something.

What you missed was everyone else in the arena, oh except for that scam that you may or may not have been directly involved in.  You found that one pretty quick, didn't you?
Yeah, from someone who posted it right in here; literally.   You some kinda bitmine shill or what?

No, you some kind of KnC shill or what?  You'd have to be an idiot to order from Bitmine at this point.
Yes, I AM a KNC shill...  just ask anyone here...  you know that!...  just ask any troll in here, hehe.

aaaah, okay, It looked like you were liking the bitmine offer, and I couldn't see why    my bad. Thanks for the clarification  Grin

*The even mention of Avalon on their site made me cringe*

This chart, however, did indeed put a bit of a smile on my face.

Lookin' pretty optimistic from this view
and I have yet to see a mining calculator that accounts for it.... anyone?
anyways, looks like the taper is indeed happening, even with the massive amounts just dumped... (I think I remember KNC predicting this as well)
combine that with a timely surprise from KNC, and those Neptune refunds would be sorely missed... ug.
we should start a guessing game... first delivery date and first delivered hash pecs on Neptune...
I'm  guessing 4.5, and April 15th.  I know, lofty... but I'm a "Shill", remember?  Wink

Anyone remember this?

Yeah, that's right, we bought them thinking 250gh/s.
Out the gate at 500, and now what are Jupiters pushing? some over 700?
and how did the herald "Cointerra" do again?, Hashfast? and many others....
That's why I don't mind being called a KNC "Shill", at all.
I look for similar results this go-around.
Granted....  Communication in keeping us up to date on what's happening leaves me feeling like an abandoned child, but the products performance more than made up for it in the end, which has yet to come, because Jupiters are still pumpin' hard out there, and will be for quite some time.
I'm betting Neptune will have similar results. Plain as that.

I tend to agree. I did buy a Jupiter and was happy with the purchase. Granted it was two weeks late. But compared to the rest, it was light and day. Yes facing serious competition. I'm counting on them to overdeliver or be compensated. If not I'll ask for a refund or sell it.. For those people who are happy with their purchase. Ask for a refund..

You bought it when advertised as 400GH/s they did not take preorders until June.

yes I am with you, there is money to be made many places, just the arbitrage between the same coin on one exchange to the next can net you 10% a day.

Early on I bought a lot (ahem) of Dogecoin for 0.0000008 per and it did not take long for them to be worth much much more!

I miss the doge train due to naivety and lack of proper attitude. I hope to learn from that missing profit :/

re: security, paper wallets are the only way to go.

When I get X coins (different for each coin) they go to a paper wallet.
Period.

amen.

the DOGE train may still be rolling

I'll give it a try then Tongue

If you go trough the thread .. some members from the community already received their DHL tracking numbers .. .. really hope KNC delivers Neptune 1st Batch in April ...
One time I ordered a nice sony 80" TV from China off Alibaba, and they sent me a tracking #.
I "Tracked" that baby for six weeks, and when my nice new pair of panty-hose arrived...... AAaahh!
I Hope they get a real machine....
Then maybe KNC WILL deliver in April...hehe

Glow Stick Dance!
No, they're alleged knockoff A1 chips.  You really are out of touch with what's going on outside of this thread, aren't you.
can you show me that please? The bitmine site says "Based on the old Avalon chips"

Pardon?   http://bitmine.ch/?page_id=863

Okay, now look back at the product page description....
coincraft desk, which is the ones being delivered soon supposedly....

I'm not even seeing where they are selling the 28nm yet when it says "Mass production available starting from the second week of December 2013"
so, are they late? First time I saw this. Seems like they wanted to play 28nm, but came late to the game to me. Where is the 28nm offering from them?
what product of 28nm are they selling? I don't even see one that comes close to Neptune here, sorry I must be blind.
http://bitmine.ch/?p=877

I certainly could be "Out of touch" with what's going on out there, and wanted to be educated... I'm looking, but not seeing.

Read this again...

Quote
Coincraft Desk is the product of natural evolution from our Generation 1 devices based on older Avalon’s chip.

Does that help?  If not, let me explain... Bitmine made Avalon clones. That's what they mean by Gen 1 devices.

I'm not endorsing Bitmine.  In fact I would never buy a device directly from them.  But they do have a working 28nm chip and have released them into the wild.  The more affordable A1 chip-based devices appear to be real, working knockoffs from stolen chips or questionably licensed Intellectual Property.

well we have recently had KnC's "We are having a baby! - Give us money", still waiting on BlackArrow's "We have given birth - Pay us more!" and we all know Hashfast 'Had an abortion' - oops.
