What about burning power socket?? How to avoid this effect?
I have -0.0513 Voltage. The Mhz were 300/300/325/325

I would like to make two phase immersion cooling for it, but have no resources for it Smiley

But I do not see the problem to cool without cap if I place the radiator carefully.
The part of a problem actually I think is that the airflow and radiator are in different levels.
And also can't understand why the temp off DCDC-1 raises after my intrusion...

Ya sorry, didnt know there were rules about mining a dead coin. Was there an addendum I dont know about? Can I get a list of whats ok to mine? I was thinking Casino coin , because Im from Las Vegas, but I need to get your ok on that first.

Vegas

Pretty sure they asked a question, two even.

When these miners actually work, they can be very profitable. Think I just broke my record solomining 21 blocks in 1 minute!! LOL!!

We used BICs razor blade Smiley Cut a half of it to make it thinner and inserted it between the cap and chip to extract the glue (actually it seems to be a thermal grease)
As there are many elements around it took I think 3 hours. (can try makinng some drawings to understand the way)
The second one will be faster because we know how to and have som exp.
Now I am testing it without cap.
We placed indium foil instead of grease and put the cooling radiator on it. We set additional radiators on the aluminium clamp.
But as I see the temperature is not lower than on not modified boadrs but higher! CPU is higher 3-5 degree (Celsium) and DCDC 4-5 degree

Yes, the chip cap (heat spreader) is there for a reason.  You should put it back on.  I only asked because I was interested in replacing the thermal compound under the heat spreader.

That being said, I just performed an interesting heat sink modification, which worked OK, but only lowered the temps maybe 3C in total.  If I actually machined a new heat sink, instead of modifying the old one, it might work better.
We have second CUBE that we modified. We just replaced the thermal grease under heat exchanger to Indium foil. The situation is the same - temperatures are higher! Actually I need to reduce Frequency to lower the temp of DCDC because it reach 95 degree..

Yestarday we  have removed the Titan chip CAP Smiley Today will test it using chip water cooling, to check if the thermal grease was a problem..

GenTarkin/Vegaguy,

Awesome works you guys are doing here!  The overall Error Rate % is nice to see, but is it possible to break it down to Hardware % error rate per die like what it was done by the KnCMinion?  I found this information very helpful to find the lowest voltage setting for each die while keeping the HW % below 1%.  On some problematic die, I actually have to up the voltage and lower the clock frequency to keep HW Error % to an acceptable level.

Thanks for the hint man!
This topic is quite long one and difficult to find needed info)
from github.com downloaded the neptune-rc8.bin and neptune-rc9.bin files and wanted to ask what they are good for or how they are different from the neptune-rc6.bin?
BCS I am facing now difficulties with my neptune sets and cant find a solution atm.
The problem is with controlling boards not identifying the cubes:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/knc-neptune-controlling-board-doesnt-see-the-cubes-1170759
Also would appreciate any help if someone know the solution or had same difficulties.

Hello,

Where did KNCMiner's Jupiter Support Page and Forums go?? I been out of the mining loop for the past six months, and now I can't find Jupiter stuff anywhere on KNCMiner's website.  Huh  Long story short, my computer crashed recently, and the ONLY things I didn't have backed up anywhere else was all my KNCMiner firmwares/config files/etc.! But now I need all that stuff again to set up a new miner, and it is like KNCMiner erased Jupiter's existence from the Internet. Well I did find one thing...

https://github.com/KnCMiner/images

which just has the stock firmwares...but I am looking for two things specifically...

-latest BertMod firmware...I remembered looking for it last year, and that was a PAIN, but I found it. However, I don't have it anymore and I would like to know where I can find it again.
-Next, the simple, but useful 'enablecores.bin' file. I can not find this file anywhere, Google is definitely failing me on this one! I am guessing someone is going to have to send it to me or host it somewhere...

thanks in advance!

wanted to download neptune soft for reinstall but looks like the site http://www.kncminer.com/ is down as well as the support files

I have a lot of the Mercury/Saturn/Jupiter and Neptune firmware/tools saved, so I finally threw together a simple page with all of the files for anyone who wants them. Check my signature for the link. I'm missing a few of the November Jupiter files, since I didn't need them. If anyone has them, feel free to shoot them over to me and I'll add them, with name credit/donation link if you want it. Smiley

Why not just try my firmware see if it works?..... can at least start out w/ the donation version =) which is on github, then if it works great for ur titan can buy it =)

I did try it.  My rig bounced between 250 - 300 all night.  Lots of BFGminer restarts.

I would need to see output of ur /var/log/monitordcdc.log file to figure out whats going on w/ ur unit. Youll probably have to bypass some dies for checking entirely.
