Read the README file.
https://github.com/KnCMiner/images/blob/master/kncminer-0.99.2.README

They add some  features.

If you have a November Jupiter and it is running well, I wouldn't touch it.
I know you have October Jupiters, in your case I would wait untill someone who know his stuff better than you test it out and explain how it works.
Safe yourself a lot of trouble, it can go wrong and then you have to know how to fix it.
You don't want to have down time.

Why is. Not at official knc site?

the firmware wouldn't be official until they officially announce it and upload to the support area of the KNC main web site.

if you're a nerd especially you would understand this

Github is a place where developers upload their software.
And that address is from the official KnC account at Github.

I hope I explain it easy enough for you to understand.
What language do you originaly speak?

I just installed 0.99.2-tuning and am trying out bfgminer. Does anyone else get extremely high HW errors (~13%) with bfgminer like I do? I usually get ~1.25% with cgminer. I'd really like to use bfgminer to identify which cores are causing HW errors, but this is ridiculous. I got the same thing when I tried it with bertmod, but hoped it was something specific to bertmod.

You are connected to the wrong stratum address

use this:
stratum+tcp://v2.srv.eligius.st:12234

I wish that was it, but it does the same thing there  Undecided. Thanks for trying to help though  Wink

Hmm that looks terrible... something is amiss....
being it's on every single board....   its a setting somewhere most likely

You're probably right, but everyone else just turns it on and it works. I'm not worried about it too much, as cgminer works with very low HW errors.
That was my next question.....
If it ain't broke....why fix it?... hehe

I had the exact same experience with my Oct Jupiter and Bertmod BFGminer but my HW errors were around 18%

I had wanted to use Nwools multiminer proxy so i could mine some alt coins when they were more profitable to mine than BTC, and multiminer only uses BFGminer.

I have since given up on that and just point it at Eligius instead, although with the new firmware i might give it another shot...

Yep v2 server is back up again also wizkid released his own patch that reduces hw errors to <1% and also increases ghs on jupiters. I guess I have a busy few hours of messing around

link to infor regaring the patch?

how is the errors at new eligius pool???

New KNC dedicated Eligius pool together with wizkid cgminer patch are working great.
That's my stats from best performing Jupiter:

Come on Searing     attack , attack ,attack .........we got chase this bunny down the hole ............remember the real enemy is the diff................and there's only one way to beat it.

Pete

should make a plaque....fear is my constant companion since I got a bitcoin rig.....(will someone steal it?...will the house burn down?...will my wallet get hacked...?.

alas and I was so nice and bored the middle of this year......gonna put the game server back up...my life was a big yawn..found out about bitcoin (ack!)

expected with my oct 18th miner at 150usd per btc to pay it off in 6 monrhs or more then with the modest diff rise...maybe get 1/2 year or more of free utils on the house

nice modest little hobby (yeah right)

now i have 37 coins since oct 18th (www.mtgox.com is over 1K btc now again).... will likely have at least 45 coin out of the beast....maybe a bit more....

Two Neptune orders with my 2 brothers (1 batch 1 and 1 batch 2)

and 12k in the bank ...on the 'off chance" of maybe if price is "really reallly right" getting some 'mythical' re-release Jupiters soonish?

also have 1/3 down on alpha tech litecoin asic miner via paypal cc amex ...but that is looking sketchy as heck so will likely pull that in the 45 day window...BFL refugee have a window to jump out on that idea should I need to....

sheesh......it really was just supposed to be a modest hobby for crying out loud!    Smiley

What about the rest of you folks what is your story that brought you to the world of KNC for your Fall or beyond delivery of the shiny toy?

I'm beginning to think the Jupiter's aren't going to launch.  Every time I talk to KNC they make it sound like they still have no plans and they make it sound like the Neptune is coming first.

I think the amount of people wanting to cancel their Neptune's for more Jupiter's is quite high and they might be questioning themselves now.

People aren't stupid.  The difficulty is going to run away from everyone.  KNC is going to obliterate the diff once again like they did last year and people want to mine now rather than wait.

Well KNC staff posted in the KNC Forums that Neptunes 2nd batch they still have for sale are "going fast" ...so I'd safely assume NO CHANCE of any Jupiters being released into the wild before that batch of Neptunes are sold out.....imho

but yeah...if they are ahead of the timeline they set for themselves for selling Neptunes.....(whatever that is) it is unlikely we will see any more Jupiters at any price

*I'm unsure on how I feel on this me and 2 brothers have 2 Neptunes on order 1 batch one 1 batch 2....on the other hand have USD for Jupiters if priced right...hmmmm...I'm on the fence?"

add to that my current 555gh Jupiter to the best of my knowledge is mining .18 btc /day and difficulty is projected more or less 30 percent again ...so you run that out ways...say I get my Jupiter NEW batch er.....by 2nd week of Feb say....what I'd be looking at maybe .10 btc/day....then Neptunes come out by april 1st say?

anyway seems awful tight imho

so I too still think it is a no go (I do however have a corsair 1200i just in case and 30 days to send it back..i'm sooooooo conflicted"

confused ..this bitcoin stuff makes my head hurt......

Searing

Do I have to say it again? Jupiter's were never going to be for sale. KNC pumped led us all on into thinking to "get some coins handy", was for an upcoming Jupiter sale then a huge coincidence, without notice or anything a Neptune sale pops up. I don't know why anyone doesn't believe this or think a company would actually do that to incur sales. This is what companies do. A little lie here, a little lie here, all to make more sales and more money in the pocket. KNC was fully aware of other companies taking pre-orders and possibly may come out before their Neptunes so they had to think of something right away to make us not pre-order anything else and give them time to prepare to list the Neptunes again. And yes, this is may hard opinion on this.

Your idea only affects people who can only buy one machine, or have no coins to play with. It's really not a big deal. It's also not a lie, when they didn't promise they were selling them, just said they might. They still say they might, and people won't buy them if they wait too long. As it is, nobody else is shipping anything significant, except crazy overpriced BFL and antminer. Thinking that telling us jupiters would be available soon, then posting a new price on neptunes for far in the future is some dishonest act, is nuts.

As for sales, listen to the bitcoinorama interview with engadget. They did amazing sales on neptunes. Huge dollars heading in. Probably more than anyone else, and the customers will be happy with what they receive just like most of us were with jupiters.
