Use putty?
Yes. Login as root. Execute "screen -r". Then you are in cgminer.

Turn off power switch?
SSH to your miner.

Terminate cgminer with "q".

Shutdown linux with "halt".

Turn off power.

Is the q really required? I just halt it.

Will Neptune have hosting or only sold as shipped units?

I've asked a number of times and so far they have not given any details or if they plan on offering hosted services.  I hope so,  got 4 neptunes and didn't want to run new circuits in my house but i will if i have to.

Hi,

I am using a 1000w psu for my November Jupiter and it is hashing away very stably at 679 GH/S.

What negative effect does this have over a 1200W PSU ?

Regards

All November units arrived in a reasonable time and function as (or above) advertised.  Just like batch one.

Five stars KnC, really good stuff.

Huh they still assembling and hopefully deliver until end of this week the Nov batch! toxic coffee in the morning?

not to beat a dead horse, but now I realize that Mr. Phoenix actually indirectly implied about getting a free module. A while back he said that he got a huge donation. Am I right or am I right?

There is something wrong with this power supply.
1)  500 A times 12 V gives 6 kW, not 10 kW as advertised. Or it would have horrible 60% efficiency but without a way to cool it down it seems to be just bad advertising.
2) Its input specification is: 432 V - 528 VAC (there is '4' for sure at the photo, not '1') - quite strange voltage range, like in some railway trains.

I still like my idea of splitting it into two seperate boxes.....

Not going to happen, you would need to separate controller boards etc.
