Hi all,
The october batch of Jupiters have problems with some Corsair PSU.
Anyone knows if this is also valid for the november batch?

Thank you.

Bad information. I've been running my October Saturn/Jupiter with a Corsair RM850 since I got it. It pulls 650/660 from the wall. I did order a more powerful supply in case I added more hardware but I think I may return it since the Corsair is running just fine the way it is.

Maybe there are some people that just had issues with their Corsair so I don't think saying ALL Corsair's have issues, just certain cases.

All the drama was about corsair HX 850.

I receive two of my orders of Jupiter on thursday and friday and more Jupiters are on its way.
They were hashing stable at 685 GH/s and 675 GH/s average.
Because it is hot and the stand of the ventilator is broken I use an ioniser to circulate the hot air to the colder part of the house.
I don't need to turn the heater on and all windows are closed
My hashrate went to 730 GH/s and 725 GH/s, each time the ioniser is turn on for at least 30 minutes.
I don't know if this is due variance of the network or BTCGuild.
The total time I notice this is too short to be sure that the ioniser has a positive effect.
Can anyone with great knowledge of electricity confirm that an air ioniser has positive effect on KnC Jupiters.

Thank you

Jesus man, air ioniser? I think if you stand on one leg and rub your belly for 30 minutes your hashing power will increase by 20. Seriously, try that. You need to be directly in front of the miner though.

So, can someone explain to me how the tuning suite works? I am literally just guessing at what I am doing....although my Sat. now Jupiter has been hashing at a decent rate, apparently after having tweaked it slightly where I think it needed tweaking....it now seems to have a steadier and slightly higher hashing rate. But some guidance or explanation of what things do and the danger zones would be nice...my 2 satoshis....

If its not broken, don't fix it.

Buying Jupiters at up to 18BTC each.

Best I can estimate is that Jupiters in their remaining useful life should clear about 25-35 BTC -- so that would definitely be a good deal. Cheesy

Let us know if you manage to score some.

hmm..that is higher then I figured I thought 18btc was close ...or are we talking batch 2 jupiters or some such

if you'd care to share your reasoning on this?

Searing

Just go back through my older posts -- you can find it there. I posted it several times and people just ignored it. Just bring it up to date and assume there is $1000 left on the payout or maybe it is free and clear if you got your October unit earlier than ours.

So far all my calculations have been bang-on as to what we realize and the BTC payout.

As an aside: KNC messed up our shipping, soooooo -- instead of the three days UPS took -- it required eight days to clear. It was an expensive five days. That cost us a couple of BTC.

Wrong....  Obvious RMA boards, with thermal paste smothered all over them...
its been only two weeks or so, not six
and I owed nobody any explanation, especially you.
I was kind enough to come clean when someone commented I had more than just 3 sats..... the least you can do is appreciate that.
It's obvious your nature, and your profanity just verified it...
You will not be invited to my KNC Power-Lunch when I become a millionaire...  Tongue

Why would anyone hide what they have or hide their hashing power? Is there something I'm missing here on why that is such a secret? I don't know the whole story and just read you got free boards but didn't know you also received bad hardware, right? Really none of my business and I was just curious about it since this hardware is so hard to get and hearing that people got free shit made me curious.

good luck getting any honesty out of this guy.

one post its a secret, shhh

next post it was never a secret & he is just too honest, next post he regrets being so honest.

the fact is, he caught himself out by boasting about being able to sell more than he had paid for..

while hoards of us are STILL suffering from under-par, LATE, september rigs

but apparently these long hidden facts are merely 'trolling'

let him get on with it.. now he has a few wannabe fangirls sucking up to him he feels less need to be a fake 'nice guy' and more of a genuinely dishonest braggart.

"if ur rigs are not as awesome as mine (while NOT mentioning FREE, GOOD boards), ur method must be no good"

similar to someone else... although to a considerably lesser extent.

honestly, i do not wish negativity nor suffering upon ANYONE, but these jokers really push it.

tl:dr - there is no way he was or is the only person entitled to free boards.  Shhh...

I do NOT consider myself entitled to one as my GH/s is 529, which is still a lot better than a lot of other people...

How much power can we expect the Neptune's to use? I have (4) BFL ASIC's running off a single outlet in my garage. Kill-A-Watt reads it out @ 995W. When we use the vacuum off the same circuit, the breaker trips. Cheesy

I heard 2100W somewhere but not sure if that's true or not. Thoughts? Would I be able to plug a Neptune into a simple outlet?

I did the calculations -- you should count on 3KW draw per miner -- including a reasonable safety margin.

They published the likely efficiency per GHash -- so the rest is a simple calculation.

Of course what is also obvious is that you really need to double that number per Neptune.... think about it.

Hey guys, since you have to re-wire your house for the Netptunes, why not just go out and buy a new home? BTC will still be up and you can even get an extra bedroom for all your mining needs.
If I had ordered Neptunes and had an apartment, that's exactly what I'd do, & if Q1 del. they'll pay the mortgage off.

Lol, not too far from the truth!  If I hadn't re-invested most of my coin back into more gear, I'd be sitting on nice little pile.

First money back!

Invalid IBAN number,

I paid on 28th 03:55 pm to this account:

IBAN (USD): SE3250000000054238219864
BIC/SWIFT:  ESSESESS
Bank Address:  SEB, Stureplan 2, 106 40 STOCKHOLM/SWEDEN
KnC Group AB address: Birger Jarlsgatan 33 5tr, Stockholm, 111 45, Sweden.

But only one of four transactions comes back atm.

Tomorrow I will see if the other ones comes also back.

Anyone else?

was this for the 1st batch of Neptunes? (not sure but did you miss the paid deadline....by the 28th?)

If it is for the 2nd batch of numbers it does not match the Neptune info I was given for the IBAN number

(of course took my bank 1 hr to do the order today..then they called me back in after 1hr ..then took them 3 hrs and girls crying to get next order in
what a clus*t*rf*c*   so I've no idea what the  hell is gonna happen on my order today (which since it was late by the time I got it done will prob go in on Tuesday

I guess I learned my lesson use a 'commercial bank" the old regular bank has no experience with doing international wire xfers....to tell you the truth I was
treated pretty badly for a guy that banked there for 20yrs plus.....they we're just generally p/o that I tied up 3 people for 3hrs cause they had no clue...so I kinda
was the chump

of the 3 2 we're supposed branch managers...what a joke

so I feel your pain probably in the same boat....and if it does bounce and knc does not get cleared in time for $$$ back i'll likely miss the boat too on the 2nd Neptune

just goes to show bitcoin would work a lot better in all this but not gonna touch my hoard on speculating april 2014 fiat yes bitcoin at the moment no

sucks

let us know how it goes

So what is everyones consensus on what optimal Hashrate is for a October Batch Module.

140Gh? 145? 150?  Whats the max folks have seen?

eligius says my two (knC Hosted) Jups are chugging out at about ~1350 avg/8 = 168.75
but just had a 22 min rush of 1389/8 =173.625
I asked earlier if Oct Hosts were going to get tuned. guess so???
