Now I'm a retard, and a jackass according to edgar & xtr8guy...  quite the accomplishment.
To me, chastising someone for trying to help is retarded.
If you don't like my comments, PLEASE, feel free to put me on ignore.
This is totally unproductive, and I'd rather not waste time on such.

last time I said that on this forum (ignore me, please), somebody went back and flagged many of my posts getting me a string of 'deleted by moderator' messages.   gagged, censored.  very careful now.

To maximise the performance of your November shipment orders, we recommend the following:
- for November Jupiter’s a 1200 Watt PSU with a minimum of four separate PCI-E adaptors (6 pins or 6+2 pin).
- for November Saturn’s an 850 Watt PSU with a minimum of two separate PCI-E adaptors (6 pins or 6+2 pin).

I might have missed it due to the noise level here but does this mean that the November Jupiter's are less efficient than their October counterparts?  I thought they were around 1W/GH

RED HERRING TIME  Embarrassed

Found that the ping time to my wireless access point that serviced it was also slow. I disabled some of the fancier features (WMM and short GI) and the ping times improved (though it might have just been rebooting it a few times that did it), and along with it the connectivity to the saturn. Thanks for those that tried to help. Sometimes it's just not the hardware at fault at all
I had my power go out on me last night for some reason and it took out a brand new Netgear switch I've been running for quite some time. Just killed it. Thank god my miner is going through a power conditioner which takes the hits, surges and spikes for me. Glad you got it sorted. And on those home routers, disable all that extra crap that's in there. Nothing is needed.

Conman - did you try the hard reset - 5 times + 5secs + 5 times?
Yep, didn't make a difference.

Could it be at all in the programming you are doing to it? That's what you are doing to it, right? Changing it trying to make it better?  Maybe flash to and old firmware?

does this give you any clues as to a next step?

are you privy to the 'tuning suite' development at all?

also are you using 3 PCI-e cables or 4 or a twin molex to PCI-e??
No
No
No

I only have a saturn  Tongue so 2 PCI-e cables and 1 molex.

I did some experimenting with much less aggressive disabling of cores and found it had absolutely no useful effect on hashrate. They're being disabled for a reason.

gimme my money back!!!

>jk guys< >jk< put ur brokeback pitchforks & tarring feathers away!!

Have you had a fiddle with the VRMs at all?

including the 'clicking down' of each VRM

And the tightening of the arctic heatsink screws if req'd?

conman, that sounds as something else. There is no networking changes in 0.99.

Calm down folks. I just posted it to let people know it happens even to developers, and have read what people suggested, but none of those fixed my particular issue. Every time I try one of those fixes things seem to just get a little worse so I'm afraid to touch it now...

Yep, didn't make a difference.

thx & sorry it didnt help.

you made it quite clear nothing advised had helped but some people need it literally spelled out to get a clue.

what GH/s rate are you getting now?

mine has s.l.o.w.l.y crawled up to 530.1Gh/s over the past few days. could be and has been a lot worse.
It eventually speeds up to almost normal hashrate, but is laggy as in connecting and never quite averages as much as it used to because of that, making rejects worse too. Maybe it's just coincidence and the problem is elsewhere in my network but the timing with happening from the moment I upgraded to 0.99 is hard to ignore when I haven't changed anything else. Downgrading didn't fix it either.

I read something last night where someone had networking problems and they ran a script to reset the network card. I'll try and find it
Yes I saw that thanks, it was about the BBB dhcp implementation. Didn't help me.

Think I should be satisfied that it's mining at all and leave it, but the hardware's too new to stop developing for it just yet  Undecided

Did you change your modem or switch?

Sometimes, one malfunction port causes these problems.

Good luck!

the problem with ebay and their protection plan esp with paypal is that they could just mine for 45 days and then do  a credit card chargeback and send the unit back and ebay/paypal would go with it...and if you did not do paypal there is still the ebay buyer protection plan...which if ebay said pay them you said no...then you are banned ebay account for life...so I've been told by those who did this stuff with Avalon etc in the past.....not sure how true it is...but I guess it is possible

I don't think it's that easy to charge back as I had similar experience selling a lot of ASICminers to someone who tried to charge back.

I sent eBay the postage receipt and tracking number, then eBay stopped charge back.

This is why I refuse to even sign up with Ebay. There are too many reliable escrow services here or even people for that matter that will conduct the transaction for you and it will be permanent. Seriously, $18,600 someone bought a Jupiter on Ebay? What a sham.

Ah ...but all them nice middle class Chinese folk who discovered bitcoin are on ebay....and it looks like will pay 650 bucks plus for my 7gh bfl jally I'm trying to move (now that I got it like 3 wks after my Jupiter ..ah bfl I order the same week knc states existence here and get it 3 wks after knc delivers)....anyway on this bitcoin site it has been sitting at 400 bucks and no one touches it..... https://cryptothrift.com/..... (probably will be a nice guy and just stick it on ebay for 400 bucks to move it out the door ...that is what I have into it...or heck maybe I should just use it for altcoins...

on the other hand what would they pay for this 'toy' to get their foot into mining if BTC hits 1000usd hmmmmmm (wanders off to ponder)
