A combination of both would be best. But dont trust that ltc will shoot back up to its ATH anytime soon. Once the chinese exchanges are closed then unless they can manage to get their money abroad to another exchange it might take a while to build up momentum again

(I think Bitcoin is more profitable than Litecoin in terms of holding. But do not just take Litecoin for granted. You better have a share of LTC as well. That is not a bad coin although a lot similar to bitcoin really in terms of its features. No very unique features that make it stand out.
I agree with you, the faster moving bitcoin, whereas litecoin is quite slow. bitcoin is clearly larger so it is better to hold bitcoin if for long term, even for short term bitcoin is also good.

(If you really want to earn fast bitcoin you can transfer at BTC, but it totally depends on you because that's your investment but if you have the patience to wait and have the will that LTC will increase in the future then just wait for it. When investing you need to be patient and understand that it is not going to be all the time that you will earn that's why when you invest there are risks just like in gambling but in investing you can see your money grow each time, patience is they key. In the end it totally depends on you, if it was me I will just wait until the price will increase again in LTC than moving to BTC, I would just invest different money for BTC and wait till LTC increases again.

secondly you don't move from xyz to bitcoin. lol. you should already have bitcoin and then have some of that bitcoin in xyz for profit. here in LTC while it was rising and then pull out back to bitcoin and then invest in the next altcoin then pull out back to bitcoin and so on.
Atomic swaps are already working, however it still needs polishing. But it just a matter of time. In my opinion, you're too late to cut your losses now. I suggest to hold it for few more weeks. As the charts already looks bottomish to me.

(I think is it better to move to ETH than BITCOIN, actually I don't know how much LTC are you holding, but unless you have at lesat 1000 the best move is ETH
You can switch from ltc to btc and I think it will be good for you, you have bought litecoin almost at the its highest price or sell it and buy another undervalued coin.

I have some investment in both btc and ltc and plan to just hold both. I believe both prices will reach new heights following my plan so I aim to ride out any dips and not trade
In my opinion, the best think you can do is wait. Do not panic after prices fall. Soon the prices will start to rise again, when it happens, litecoin will be one of most attractive coins for all investors. because it has not increased in price yet like what happened to other major altcoins such as Ethereum, Dash and Monero.
