yes, I agree. the most of countries are banned bitcoin are countries with many corruption cases, they are worried if bitcoin will be used for money laundering. switzerland want to be a crypto nation because they are thinking bitcoin will give them many advantages and crypto will give positive affect for their economy.
Switzerland is one of the liberal countries when it comes to economy, earlier it was known as a hot bed for foreign funds from people who acquired it illegally and when the global community put pressure on them they had to release the details of a few account holders and now when it comes to crypto currency they are accepting it with open hands and it is good for people around the world to have a safe heaven. I read this news at  https://www.fxstreet.com/news/swiss-ecomin-switzerland-wants-to-be-a-crypto-nation-201801300630  and its  really gladly my heart.
Economy minister Johann Schneider Ammann, Said "Switzerland want to be a crypto nation" as at the time when many developed and developing countries are expressing their negative options on cryptocoin and we are hearing news that many countries want to ban it. What is your take on this move or comments?

This good news strongly support the development of crypto, which is currently being lethargic due to some regulations and FUD created by the goverment.
It is also hoped that this news can foster in people's trust in crypto, as we know crypto lately has been hit getting a really hard blow.

Working with money and seeing opportunities are big strengths of the swiss nation.
Compared to a relatively small population they have big and successfull banks.
And success usually proofs the people are right in what they are doing.
If a government of such a country makes good basic conditions for crypto currencies, I am sure we will see in a few years how benefitial for everybody the integration of crypto currencies in a society can be.

In Belarus, in general, the mining and ICO were legalized and exempted from paying taxes. To attract large IT companies to the country. I hope many people follow the example of this country.

Switzerland has always been a country which provided to secure the capital. After the Swiss banks ceased to keep the banking secrecy, the people have ceased to use their services. Probably they realized this and want to reclaim the capital. Belarus is experiencing a famine of investment because of sanctions. They probably want to bypass the sanctions by using the cryptocurrency. It is also logical.

sounds good to the cryotoverse, i noticed most of the minimal to non-corrupt countries are embracing new technology such as blockchain, and those that are noted of corrupt nations are somewhat repellant to blockchain. why is that so?

Stable non-corrupt countries have nothing to fear from bitcoin and much to gain from the technology.

Dodgy countries have citizens who are determined to hide their money from their corrupt govts, which is why they are trying to ban bitcoin.

Switzerland may be one of the most (if not the most) trusted countries for that sort of businesses. They have very low amount of governmental regulations compating to the other countries. They are staying away from most international conflict. And one of the most important things is that Switzerland  is not a part of the EU so european establishment won't have a power there.

Switzerland is a special case, they also recently voted to return their banking system and currency to a gold based standard in order to restore plain capitalism in the country.      Their central bank has operated a fixed link to Euro was unable to continue when ECB continually printed more money taking Switzerland into a devaluation scenario.

So the country has gone to polar points on the scale of monetary policy.   It might even be possible they take part in crypto, the other largest participant is Japan which engaged in a giant QE program and devaluation of currency to the detriment of the population.
The other factor to note with Switzerland is its divided taxation system and city state type operation, its quite unique.   Famously USA has become altered from states to centralised to Federal concerns with many states objecting at times but never significantly altering Washington policy.   So I think its possible parts of Switzerland could encourage crypto more then others.

Well this could give cryptos some air of legitimacy though I would be a bit reserved. Switzerland is bankland, so it's likely the bankers themselves cooking up stuff to remain relevant.

If the whole world began to develop many years ago as a Swiss, now there probably would not be poverty. Correctly that they want to be cryptonation, they see this as a big profit, unlike many others who are still trying to take control of new financial flows.

After all these negative news regarding on crypto adoption. At last I have heard some positive news. Thanks for the link brother.I do still believe that no matter how many countries would see negative to cryptos but yet theres still some countries which do consider and do see its positive side on adopting it. Hopefully this would be an eye opener for some countries which are still on neutral phase regarding on their view on this cryptoworld.

Wow! Nice great news for us crypto lovers, even if the link you've given does not show that much info, I've search it through the powerful Google Grin and found this -> https://www.ethnews.com/swiss-economics-minister-we-should-become-the-crypto-nation . Hoping that it might be true and will be a first step I think for crypto to be accepted in other countries.

Now, indeed, states are divided into two camps. Some support the development of crypto-currency in every possible way. Others on the contrary are against the development of blocking technologies in general. Switzerland is not a member of the European Union. It is independent and does not depend on any sanctions. She has the right to choose her own way of economic development. The Minister of Economy believes that Switzerland has reached financial stability through innovative technologies. Switzerland is ready to expand the technology of blocking but does not yet have a specific direction in this area.

Switzerland is traditionally the land of financial services - so if bitcoin and cryptocurrency are the next iteration of finance, of course they want to be in on it. I would have been more shocked if they announced they were banning it.

I stand with Ukraine.
Source says nothing much about it. However, I heard same kind of news few months ago that Switzerland is going to invest into crypto currencies and they are making their own coin, something similar.

Here's another article on the same subject: https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/911455/Bitcoin-latest-price-live-Switzerland-blockchain-swiss-banks-decline

Only don't read the garbage Roman Bruskov says about "very risky stake" and "wrong reasons". What I really can't understand is Why do they always have to put some rubbish in an article? I mean, c'mon! Look at this guy. Has 31 friends on Facebook

https://www.facebook.com/rouben.bruskov

Does his opinion really matter?

To the OP. I think Switzerland will be a crypto nation. I love this country and the way they care about their citizens. It is a very Bitcoin friendly country alrerady, you can google about it.

It is good for all cryptocurrencies, if switzerland wants to be a crypto nation, it is a positive sign that cryptocurrencies will be more popular, in this certain question about switzerland wants to be a crypto nation, and when the economic status of switzerland improve quickly because of the crypto system, that's the time that more and more countries next to follow using cryptocurrencies.

Don't know why but I feel all countries should go with this decision and we can see millions of dollars flooding into the crypto just like that.

Switzerland is country where Swiss bank makes the real move when it comes to huge money (black money in would say). With that said I believe this will be easier for them to accept and implement the new set of rules for the crypto. If the output of this acceptance is great then rest of the countries may start following them.

I mean who can stop them earning huge taxes on that kind of money and enriching the countries situation. Jealous countries will follow soon.
