Switzerland's tiny neighbour, Liechtenstein, is taking a leadership position with much bolder policies and a faster, more focused government that truly understands and embraces blockchain technology. For that reason, it truly deserves the title of "cryptocountry".

I think Switzerland will catch up eventually. BTC will go to moon. How do you think?

Switzerland is a natural fit for cryptocurrencies. Swiss banks are famed for their safety, their currency is considered one of the most stable and their strict privacy laws made everybody happy. It is only recently that the global focus on money laundering has lessened the appeal of Swiss banks. If they carry over some of these attributes to the crypto world, it will become very popular.

yes it will be very good in my opinion, because as far as I know swiss is a country with a high degree of confidentiality to its bank customers and as you say if swiss will bring its banking part to the world of crypto then of course this is a good thing for the good crypto world now or in the future

If this thing goes well and the plan succeeded, this will be a grat boost to Bitcoin.  Definitely with more demand, price will moon.  Though the question is, is it really enough to push Bitcoin to another ATH?  I think media's and promoter must sync with this news and make a huge promotion about this so that more people will know about this news,

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
as long as by "crypto-nation" they don't mean the same thing as "create your own government controlled cryptocurrency", this can be considered good news. otherwise it is only good if the market remains free and people can feel free to choose between the options they have in front of them: bitcoin or centralized altcoin the government created!

What I find very interesting is that Switzerland is usually known for having a very big banking system.
And what we usually hear from the major banks are warnings about crypto currencies.
Ther government in switzerland does not seem to be impressed by that, although I am sure the banks there have a big lobby.
We can learn that banks and crypto currencies can develope parallel! It is not an either-or question!

The Exchange for EOS Community
Currently Venezuela has widely applied crypto in their own country and in particular they have created crypto petro for exchange, which is a trend that needs to be promoted. Switzerland is also a country with a growing cryptocurrency market, so I am confident that this country can completely become a crypto power in the world.

Switzerland is actually business hub so if they will start to clearly support crypto than that can be huge.

Actually there is also many other countries who are already adapting themselves towards crypto for example Australia. There are many Bitcoin and block chain based companies situated on Australia and they are also talking about converting whole Brisbane airport into crypto hub which will be first of it's kind in the world.

Future of crypto is really bright.

Switzerland has always been a haven for money. Of you would want to hide and stow away your financial assets there in an ironclad secrecy process then having the Switzerland laws regarding their banking institutions are the best way to start. However, this comes as a great news if at leadt one cou try, and a country as influential as Switzerland can come to the fold and be one of the countries first to integrate and fully embrace the concept of the cryptocurrency then that would be a great boost to the bitcoin value and to the community as well

The first decentralized crypto betting platform
The best thing for us is some nations trying to compete to be the most crypto-friendly country. This will cause more nations to follow the steps out of FOMO and will help mass adoption as well.

That is not surprising. Switzerland was always smart about the money. That is why many people hold their fortunes in the banks of Switzerland. Since the tide is changing out of the favors of banks and into cryptos - Switzerland wants to be on top of that in any way they can or need to.

Kudos to Swiss! Always smart.

Switzerland should launch a cryptocurrency version of the Swiss franc as part of the Alpine country’s attempt to steal a competitive lead in digital technologies, its stock exchange chairman has urged. Romeo Lacher told the Financial Times that an “e-franc” backed by the Swiss central bank would boost the local economy as well as electronic payment systems which were increasingly replacing cash.
Well, I've got mixed feelings about it but it still soungs great.
It is a bit unclear why are they doing it because Switzerland  is already trying to deflate their currency in order to boost their export but they can't do it for many years. Attracting a big amount of funds from crypto world doesn't seem to be helpfull here but I believe that they goe a plan.
BUT! The best thing about e-franc is that it would be backed by the trusted government, which means that it can easily take Tether down and make crypto trading way safer for everyone! I can already imagine how everyone is trading BTC to e-franc. Smiley

One of my work colleagues is in Switzerland and he tells me that they are already extremely crypto friendly. Zug seems to be the hub of activity and nowadays there are already many crypto companies basing themselves there.

It's so cool. In my country-Vietnam, many friend of me think crypto currency is purple, they always told me stop invest in it Sad

Where is my ring of blades...
it is always a good news to hear more countries are adopting bitcoin and generally cryptocurrency technologies. and those that move first will become bigger in the near future compared to those who fall behind the adoption.
and this will always lead to more adoption of bitcoin one way or another and that will help with the price rise of it too. and Switzerland is a known place for this kind of stuff, they have not been strangers to bitcoin there and things can grow real nicely there.
