Hey everyone, I'm an old SXC miner from 2013-2014 who had a wallet that was backed up Jan of 2014. When I tried to put the wallet into the new client, it says all my transactions are conflicted and I can't find any of my transaction ids/addresses in the prohashing block explorer.

Can anyone help me understand why I can't access my coins? Thanks!

Edit: My account says I'm brand new cause apparently my old account info was released in a hack of 2015? I have been away from crypto for quite some time...

Old wallets and backups should work fine in the new version. Perhaps try a rescan of the blockchain? Did you copy the backup then run the sync or sync then copy the backup over? How much balance? Try a different explorer? If your really running out of options PM me and I'll see if I can restore them for you myself and send to you?

I tried in multiple block explorers and it's like they never existed. I even looked at the transaction times from back then and found the exact blocks where they should have happened and the transactions don't exist. It's like they completely disappeared into thin air. To be fair, I added the wallet before the blockchain has completely synced and I have 34 weeks left until I'm up to date but I don't see how that is the reason since these coins are untouched for almost 4 years.

The address doesn't exist, the addresses I've sent to don't exist, the transaction IDs don't exist. But it clearly should be sexcoin since if I try to load another coin's wallet, it crashes the client and the receiving address starts with S77 which should be a sexcoin address.

Is it possible that this will get fixed once the client is fully synced?

From the sounds of it your coins should be showing already. Is it possible you were mining on a forked pool which was lost when the pool reconnected to the network losing your transaction?

Were they all mined transaction or do you also have standard transfers to/from exchanges or other addresses?

hi . come at yobit chatbox and say your problem to the admin . he will answer u . admin username color is green and his name is DoominikHerzog . ( sorry for poor english ).

I'm willing to give it a try. Thank you for posting that information.

UPDATE: waiting for my btc deposit to clear, because I don't have enough there to use the troll-box.

Haha, yeah. I also got all my funds in SXC and USD there and am not allowed to chat even though the combined value is like 0.5btc... It's so amateur that they dont consider total portfolio value.

What is this coin about?

Porn, Sex, Dicks, Tits and Pussies. And how to pay for it.

with no merchants this coin is nothing

I do not really see why I would choose sexcoin to pay for adult services. There's no clear advantage to using any other cryptocurrency with a fast block time like Digibyte and Litecoin.
I'd even go as far as to say that there might be more adult services where you can pay with Bitcoin than where you can pay with Sexcoin.

i think the moral of this coin is to dedicate the whole cryptocurrency to the adult  industry

Age verification features and fast block time are the big differentiators. Also the fact that Sexcoin targets that space, so we are receptive to the special needs.

Yobit is turning into a real headache.

Many people that support sexcoin are also yobit users, and those of us that have been involved with sexcoin are very aware of the fact that yobit has frozen their Sexcoin wallet and are ignoring our call for them to do the right thing by us.

However, with Sexcoin's current climb we are getting an influx of new people, who trade on Yobit, that are unaware of how unresponsive, how long, how utterly disrepectful, and how irresponsible they have become to users that hold Sexcoin on their exchange.

When users submit support requests, they get this response:

Dear User!

Support answer:

Deposit\\Withdrawal coin will be available after you upgrade the source code of the wallet. Unfortunately the developers are in no hurry to send you updates
- therefore, in order to avoid the loss of users, the network is not available.
If you have updated the source code of the coin, send us (https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ Free)and we will promptly correct the problem on the coin.
Thank you for contacted the support.

Please answer in tickets only, don't send any answers to email! Tickets: https://yobit.net/en/support/

Sincerely yours,
Team of Yobit.Net

Yobit has been categorically unresponsive to Sexcoin's Dev team. Here is my support queue, and they are FULLY AWARE that I am the lead dev:

Is 6 months enough time to update a client?
What business is yobit in?

Keeping code updates current should be a part of normal operations for an exchange. Blaming the Dev team in this instance is nothing short of an outright lie. I am tired of filling out their update request form.
Up until now I have tried to remain amicable on the matter, hoping that the situation would get resolved. Yobit DID list us during a time when we were getting delisted from other exchanges from lack of volume, and that fact carries a lot of weight with me.

The Dev team, if we decide to act on the matter, is now being faced with few options:

  • Pay for them to perform the update
  • Request delisting so that users can at least withdraw what they hold
  • Start a shit-storm campaign to attempt shaming Yobit into performing the update
  • Do Nothing

I do not take kindly to being strong-armed into paying for something like a code update. About a week after I submitted the first request and it had not been responded to, I was at least considering paying for the update because I knew that we had many users with holdings there. However, Yobit has proven to me that I cannot trust them. At this point, I don't have any confidence that even a paid update will be honored. I can picture a scenario where they take the payment, and then come up with yet another excuse to keep the wallet in maintenance... or maybe open the wallets up and then delist. Their responses to the support tickets have proven they they are not worthy of any trust.

Creating a shit-storm might work, but I think if this is actually successful, we have no guarantee that they won't find a reason to close the wallets again for some enigmatic reason....especially with the updates we are currently working on being so close to release.

This leaves requesting a de-listing.

From the moment Little-Digger, BitcoinGreece,  Nomaxpi and myself adopted Sexcoin, the dev team has never paid for an exchange listing. Without going into too much of the history, we believed that if Sexcoin was successful enough to deserve to be on an exchange, it would get there on its own merit not by any back-room deals struck with the exchange-ops. That doesn't mean that we didn't approach exchanges with listing requests, but we approached them with the merits of Sexcoin.  MOST exchanges we have been on, and ALL that we are on currently, were listed with no contact with the dev team at all. In effect, this creates its own metric for valuing the coin.

We have also NEVER been in a position where requesting a delisting actually looked like the best thing to do for Sexcoin users. ( Although in hindsight, the case could be made for Cryptsy )

The kicker to requesting a delisting is that Sexcoin's network is at the point where in order to delist, and enable withdrawals, yobit will have to update the client anyway. The old client simply will not generate transactions reliably. This leaves the possible scenario where they don't update, then tell all their users that the network is broken, and that's why their withdrawals are not executing.

I am open to other ideas, because NONE of the above are desirable.

Hi Lavajumper,

Of course I do not need to tell you please check with them first if a normal solution is feasible what needs to be done if the connection is broke or not, if an update is feasible and in what timeframe, etc etc. A delisting creates most times chaos and the price will go to zero if the connection is broke we are trapped in yobit and coins are vaporized. This creates a bad situation for the coin and the coinhodlers.

Anyway thanks for finding a solution for the Yobit case.

Hi Lavajumper,

I am in favour for a delisting, I would like to withdraw my coins to the sexcoin wallet. I cannot trust Yobit anymore, they react each time with robot answers.

Lavajumper I appreciate your effort you need to do for us!

Thanks a lot and delist the coin, and release us from Yobit.

SXC has submitted multiple requests to Yobit all with no responses. We're waiting for them and not the other way around.

Any news on Yobit wallet? Is it ever gonna be out of maintenance?

We've submitted tickets... we've tweeted.... we've emailed....

Here's my support queue with Yobit...

http://i67.tinypic.com/33ynjig.png

Not sure where to go from there.

Ah, right on, and no worries, looks like people still buying on yobit, I covered with a 20 sat gain and got out. Thanks for the response though, and sorry I didn’t look through the thread hard enough to see the first time you posted that response. Prices moving up nice lately:)
