::Update on the RPi build::

We've hit a runtime snag that is delaying the build process.
The client mysteriously crashes.
Stay tuned.

@j4y_naKomodo: Thank you for your reply - what version of SexCoin are you using?

Did you get the source code from GitHub, or, elsewhere?

Can you provide the link to your "atomic" swap page so that we can test the page prior to your launch?

Regards,
Hello and thank you for the response. We have found the bug in our own Agama multiwallet and ZCash swing wallet. We are reaching out to coins whose wallets may be affected by the bug. This is not a certainty, but something you should be aware of. The questions asked should help determine whether or not it does affect your wallet. The atomic swap page is actually a Decentralized Exchange dApp created by Komodo Platform called BarterDEX. To be clear - the bug was found (and FIXED) in our wallets.

The "watchaddress" feature is not available in our current client. However, our development of sexcore-sexcoin relies heavily on it. Thanks for the heads-up!! We will definitely test that feature before release.
I really love it when the bug can be identified BEFORE we release Cheesy

Greetings, friends at Sexcoin! As Komodo Platform has been working around the clock to fine-tune the multiple GUI's that are the face of our Agama multiwallet and BarterDEX atomic swap protocols, there have obviously been many bugs found and many debugged. However, one bug in particular was found not only in our Agama GUI wallet, but also in the zcash4mac GUI swing wallet. It is a simple bug, but it warrants your attention. This is a potential money cost bug, and as a Bitcoin-protocol cryptocurrency, your GUI wallet(s) may be susceptible. We are reaching out directly to the developers and communities of the 60+ coins featured on Agama and BarterDEX as the bug may have a direct impact on you (via your own wallet).

watchonly-GUI bug: 'watchonly' addresses appearing as your own in GUI wallet; users could potentially send funds to the address, unaware it is not theirs or available for withdrawal. You can import and it becomes a 'watchonly' address. The GUI will display the address as yours, add its funds to your balance, and accept deposits, but cannot be withdrawn. This could be a normal address, my address, a p2sh address, satoshi's address, etc. This can be confusing to an end-user and will lead to many headaches for the developer, as is always the case with misplaced funds.

FOUND: in Komodo Platform's Agama multiwallet (fixed) and zcash4mac GUI swing wallet (@jl777B: "newest QT wallet seems ok about watch only, but not sure of older and when it was fixed")

ex. @grewalsatinder found the bug in his zcash swing wallet: https://i.imgur.com/sVd0QTL.png

Quote from: jl777B
"satinder used zcash4mac, ie. the zcash osx GUI, not ours... the assumption is no GUI out there properly handles watch only addresses, until proven that they do... agama also had this bug, which we found and fixed, so it seems a very common bug to have"

SOLUTION: For the 'watchonly' address or any address not yours, the value 'ismine' returns false. Any such address gets filtered out.

QUESTIONS:
  • How does your recommended GUI deal with watchonly addresses?
  • Does your GUI display watchonly addresses as different than actual addresses in the wallet?

We need to experiment a bit to see which approach gets a better response triggering the bug. People WILL lose money if they send funds to a watchonly address.

Quote from: jl777B
"the t3 addresses in the 'Own Addresses' column! and they absolutely cant be as they are p2sh addresses. it is clear proof that the bug is very real and anybody that understands a p2sh address will understand it cant be something in your wallet. it is usually a multisig address, so only if it is a 1of1 multisig (possible but very silly) can you have a p2sh address that is spendable, but the wallet wont even know it... normal addresses can also be watchonly, which makes this even worse. in that case it would appear in the list of addresses just like all the others. even if you are able to spot p2sh addresses visually, it wont be enough"

We want to spread awareness and facilitate discussion of this bug to minimize the impact.

Of course - we can always talk about how you can use BarterDEX today to trade Sexcoin via atomic swap directly with your peers, through our beta GUI and without downloading the entire blockchain ; ) That is how we found the bug, afterall.

Stay safe,
Jay

I think your cash appears to be lost! Dev or Yobit is exemplary one accuses the other and the feline is gnawing his tail. Right now I don't emphatically exhort you: Sexcoin (SXC) - Eternity (ENT) and VIOG I have the dismal experience of not seeing my cash again with these shitcoins

Which rights do your tokens provide its holders with?

Sign up on forum. Ask a bunch of dumb questions in random coin threads. Don't care about the answer. Yay, now I've got a ranked up account!

51 posts in 51 different threads, all dumb questions. Nice!

Anyway. An actual answer: none.

SXC isn't an ICO or ERC20 token. It's a good ole fashion altcoin for the adult industry.
Someone selling something for SXC? Send them some SXC and buy it. Fin.

Canary in the crypto mine!

CryptoCanary is fuckin' Nostrodomus......

...

No, not Nostrodomus. But I have seen this before first-hand, as have many. When I saw it happening to SXC, it was like watching a train-wreak replay with the same twists, turns, and unstoppable tragic ending. Allow me explain...

Even when their procedures are followed perfectly, they swallow projects into their black hole of support. The black hole swallows users coins also. But their is no black hole. Only YoBit's purposeful neglect.

Now, why would a cryptocurrency 'exchange' not want users to be able to 'exchange' with the real blockchain? They certainly have the resources and sufficient time, so why? The project may have amazing volume on other exchanges. Surely they would want a slice of that volume, so why? Why would an 'exchange' refuse to 'exchange'? There is only one answer: They can't. Through error or theft, the coins are gone.

'The dev' makes the perfect cover-all-excuse for unknowing and uninformed users that think 'the dev' surely must have magic powers over the magic money they made. In actuality, 'the dev' is ignored also and is as powerless as the users are. Exchanging is not their business model or they would exchange. They are not after fees in good business. Honest errors should have been publicly disclosed long ago and, again, it has happened to too many. They must be after balances in blatant thievery. The refusal to communicate only reaffirms that only remaining possibility.

They do not care about this technology or this industry (cryptocurrency industry, not porn industry), nor either's growth. They are a severe detriment to crypto. Not only on the development side (this is a waste of everyone's time, LJ's included) but also on the mass adoption side (yet another scam, scarring people away. Painting devs as incompetent, non-caring, and lazy. FUD fuel). All of which translates to being a detriment to you if you are reading this.

It seems they will continue this rinse-and-repeat scam, putting communities in spin cycle mind you, while it is profitable. A seemingly-infinite supply of new coins to exploit and communities to pillage must make this lucrative. Apparently more so than exchanging because they clearly refuse to do that. It will be profitable so long as people use their half-imaginary exchange full of imaginary coins on incorrect chains.

I feel we as the cryptocurrency community need to boycott YoBit. We are doing a dis-service to crypto and ourselves by using their faux exchange and/or allowing others to fall prey.

Please do not use YoBit for anything or any coin. Never trust a centralized exchange as far as you can throw them and never use YoBit. Please.

YoBit's wallet is still frozen. I have left multiple tickets and messages. I am beginning to get the feeling they may be getting ready to delist, but this is only because I have not heard a thing from them. Anyone heard anything at all?

YoBit's support for coins and users is near non-existent. Even when coins PAY for support, they may not get it. What is worse is they will blame the dev(s) publicly, even when it is clearly there neglect to blame.

Don't hold your breath, LJ and get ready to be upset when they blame you. No matter how many tickets you and the community make, you will be their scapegoat.

LOL... ok then fwiw:
