OP, your friend presumption was absolutely right because the token have a limited total supply of 30,000 which is almost reach and once it reached there will be higher demand of FYI in the market. However, the limited supply doesnt justify the future price range of the market cause anything can happen in crypto market.

This is a common behavior of many crypto traders. When the hype of a new coin is created in the market, they sell their potential coins and jump into that hype coin. Bigger targets are mentioned when the pump group needs dump money. You should not decide to buy coins believing in this target. And if someone buys that which is considered a wrong decision. They will realize later that they made the wrong decision.
The low supply of these coins does not mean that the price of these coins will go up. Less supply will not help if there is not enough demand. So good projects should be seen without running after hype.
I don't want to say whether your friend's prediction on the price is wrong or right. Just a piece of advice when making a decision on crypto: Do you own research on the risk involved and don't let anyone making a decision for you. Both XIOT and YFI is the very high-risk crypto and you should take any prediction for them with a grain of salt, much less than $30000 per coin.

Dont expect every project to surpass the price or even reach yfi price even the supply is small cause we dont know what kind of project you are investing. With lots og altcoin now, its super risky to invest especially the project has no record of being legit or whatever.
The current price is actually expensive but take note the event that happened to curve and yam. Both of them fall down instantly and that take only couple of weeks.
Also dont trust much projects listed on uniswap and also if their team is anonymous cause they could run away the money anytime.
