Congratulation to the developers, nice work and I'm sure of feature success!

Blockmarket Security Audit Results and Next Steps
The security audit for our new Blockmarket Desktop Wallet is complete. There were no issues in the core wallet and only four low/moderate risk issues were discovered in Blockmarket Desktop, none of which resulted in loss of user funds.
Securing Blockmarket Desktop
Although these findings are low risk, we are dedicated to providing users with the utmost security and confidence in the products Blockchain Foundry produces. As such as will be remediating all discovered issues. We do not anticipate that the remediation steps will take long. Following the remediation phase Digital Boundary Group will perform and provide a remediation report to confirm the vulnerabilities they discovered are fixed.
This level of security diligence and transparency is something all investors should expect of companies operating in the Fintech/Cryptocurrency space. Insecure product implementations can directly lead to loss of funds. Having this implementation audited and throughly verified by a third party expert in IT security confirms that Blockchain Foundry’s products are safe and secure.
The findings in the report being “low risk” is great news as it means that the Blockmarket Desktop html-core, which also serves as the core for the Blockmarket Web is secure and will need minimal additional security work to prepare Blockmarket Web for production release soon after Blockmarket Desktop.
Read the entire report here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o6xdq6m6tyfk111/Blockchain%20Foundry%20Blockmarket%20APT%202017%20v1.0.pdf?dl=0

Digital Boundary Group — Blockmarket Security audit results
The changes to Blockmarket are already underway and will be completed within the week. After a final round of internal testing in conjunction with marketing planning for the final release we will be able to share a hard and final release date for Blockmarket Desktop 1.0 next week!
Blockmarket has been the primary public focus in regards to Syscoin for the past few months but we’ve been working on additional Syscoin projects in parallel with Blockmarket. We’ll be sharing a bit more info on those initiatives next week via an updated roadmap.

Altcoins on average in the long run will always underperform Bitcoin, remember it. Bitcoin reflects overall market rise and takes benefit from all new coins being listed. And also many altcoins have higher inflation rate than bitcoin. Buy and hold altcoins only if you expect to get at least x3 in fiat in the next year (and maybe even x5 to be safe). Will Syscoin reach 300M market cap? That's a good question, I don't know. It has good potential, but its blockchain doesn't show real transactions. Maybe something will change after Blockmarket is released.

Can you clarify what you mean by "... but its blockchain doesn't show real transactions" please?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sys/

If you see "1" there, it means just a transaction to pay mining reward, so they don't count. The rest of transactions are real transactions, but there are just too few of them, maybe 10 per hour or less. You can compare it to GameCredits, another currency that is going to be used on a market (gaming in that case).

What you're seeing there is low network traffic, there simply aren't that many transactions being done at the moment. I expect that will change when Bockmarket is released in a few weeks.

No transactions are hidden as far as I know. Is that what you're implying?
Yes that will.change for sure.. we will see full blocks soon

But I have seen NXT market recently. It is not quite popular (I would say not popular at all). What unique will Blockmarket give to users to attract them to use it?
Nxt market was under developed. The developers havent worked on it for years from my understanding. We will reduce barrier of entry through zero knowledge authentication on blockmarket web version.

Here is a review of nxt freemarket vs syscoin marketplace I did a long time ago.. some of that info is dated jfyi: http://syscoin.org/in-depth-look-at-the-syscoins-decentralized-marketplace-and-comparing-it-to-the-competition/

really though syscoin is actually great. But in the real world "great" ideas loose out to mediocre ideas all the time due to lack of marketing or lack of funding.
enter the crypto arena with decentralised funding, that can help as a last resort.  But nothing will help marketing except a dedicated group of people working in that specific area.   Also there must be an understanding in the syscoin core team that the crypto arena is maturing all the time.

The competition gets better every year. Even Scam coins today show more sophistication than the scamcoins of 2014.
things that win out in the end are hardwork (minus overworking yourself),marketing, marketing, adaptability/innovation, strong community involvement and more marketing.

some years from now syscoin might be at $100 per coin and still not be in the top 30--because of good projects constantly coming up.
the main enemy,i think, is reluctance to change.

anyway...just my two cents. for now syscoin is great and i just hope to see it keeping up with the times and may it continue showing much respect to its community. keep up the good work syscoin peeps.
Great post. We will continue innovating.. actually we have just begun. We now have a front facing corporate entity for approaching and partnering with tech firms and investors. We always look to adapt and stay ahead of the curve. Now that resources are ramping up with addition of new developers we are gaining pace on the research and development side of things and none of that is priced in. Great things to come for those with patience. Props to those who stuck with us from day 1. This ones for you.

I'm Keyare. I lost the PWD to my Keyare account and it got permanently blocked. So I had to make a new account, which frequently gets modded because "newbie" status. Which is a catch 22 because how can you grow your account if the posts get removed. Sigh.

Couple questions...

1.  Is the decentralized marketplace live and working?  Is this the "BlockMarket"?

2.  Are you working with BlockNet and dev Dan Metcalf?

Thanks.

1.  Is the decentralized marketplace live and working?  Is this the "BlockMarket"?

1a. Yes the marketplace is live and working. If you are running the Syscoin QT wallet, you have a fully functioning decentralized marketplace directly in the wallet.

1b. QT is very limited in what you can actually do, and development in QT is tedious.
It also looks quite dated.
So we've developed a new wallet currently called "Blockmarket Desktop" which uses HTML5 and Angular, and is much more flexible with UI capabilities.
Blockmarket Desktop is currently in Beta, available at https://github.com/syscoin/blockmarket-desktop-public/releases/tag/1.0.0-beta5a
The full release should be in the next few weeks. Release date has not been set.

Blockmarket Desktop is a necessary step toward our goal to make the marketplace visible and useable on the Web.
The web version is called "Blockmarket Web"  and we will be able to use the same codebase in the desktop wallet as on the web.

2.  Are you working with BlockNet and dev Dan Metcalf?

2a. Syscoin is supported in Blocknet but we are not working with them.
Blocknet and Blockmarket are two different projects with different platforms.
Blocknet is a very promising project with incredible potential.
We know and have spoken to Dan in the past when we explored the possibility of somehow integrating Blocknet within Blockmarket.
We are definitely keeping our eye on Blocknet, we strongly support the project and hope to work with them in the future.

I can't believe people are selling SYScoin for this cheap. 2300 Sat seems like the absolute bottom. I'm not worried at all, more cheap coins fro me.

While you are bagholding Syscoin, some people are making x2-x5 on ICO coins each week. Look at ICO of 0xProtocol. ICO price was $0.04 and today's price is $0.22.

Well, some of us are holding some are selling. I hold because I bought syscoin at 9K+ so i won't sell on a lose, even I must keep them till next year.

People will get sick of the ICO's soon when none of them pan out.  Syscoin is one of the very few projects that actually exists, has a real-world application, and our technology works and keeps getting better.

True, BUT trading and ICOs are high risk activities. Too much fomo. I'm bagholding SYS, it might seem lame, but i'm sleeping better.
