An easy win for New Zealand and they played so well specially in batting side. After losing 2 wickets early in the match, they came back strongly and had managed to win by 8 wickets and 6 overs in hand. In every match they are performing good whatever it balling side or batting side.

Brl spirit of winning changes everything everytime, as far i know that this match was good one as i use to watch the 1 half only and put my decision without any fear of outcome ao this it made me impressed. Building up the excitement for the 28th of August so far.

Checked the scoreboard for the Netherlands vs New Zealand match, and decided not to watch. And it was the right decision. New Zealand won the match with 6 overs and 8 wickets to spare. There is simply no consistency in the performance of the Dutch players. Yesterday they bowled well, and today their bowlers failed without any exception. This time they tried to strengthen their squad by including expat players such as Vikramjit Singh, Shariz Ahmad and Teja Nidamannaru. But none of the experiments paid off.

Netherland : New Zealand

New Zealand set a target of 149 runs in the first match. Today's Netherlands managed to set a target of 148 runs. In the previous match we have seen that the pitch is helpful to the bowling. And it is very difficult for the batsmen to score runs. So New Zealand won't win easily today. But if the opening pair can play well then there will be no problem for New Zealand to win the match.
Now plying New Zealand they played 1.2 overs and get 8 runs . New Zealand have good performance on starting time . I think 148 runs will not a big target for New Zealand . they can easily win this match. now let’s see what will actually happen

New Zealand lost their two openers for just 26 runs. At the end of 4 overs managed to collect 33 runs. Although the run rate is good. But if they lose wickets quickly, New Zealand will not be able to win this match. Mitchell Santner and Daryl Mitchell are now at the crease. If these two can bat responsibly and stay at the crease, New Zealand can win. If these two batsmen go back to the dressing room within 8 overs, the chances of New Zealand's defeat are high.

LOL.. another defeat for Netherlands and everyone congratulating them saying how well they played.  Grin

Trust me. Netherlands won't be able to win against pig-4 sides, unless they are able to include their star players in the squad. At this point, most of their first choice players (Timm van der Gugten, Fred Klaassen, Roelof van der Merwe.etc) are busy playing county cricket in England. Some of the younger Dutch players have finally started to deliver (especially Bas de Leede and Tim Pringle), and among the senior players Scott Edwards and Logan van Beek have performed consistently. But still half of the squad is there just to make up the numbers and they won't be able to win matches unless this situation changes.

Since Netherlands is a weaker team and also as you mentioned their main players are not in the playing XI, therefore everyone expects them to lose by a big margin. They lost by just 16 runs which is itself an achievement for the Netherlands team and hence people are encouraging them.

Also, the 2nd and the final T20 match between two sides is in progress and Netherlands are 44 for 2 at the current stage. I think they will again lose this match but by a narrow margin.

These few names are fixed in team roaster
1. Rohit - opener
2.
3. Kohli - 1st, 2nd down
4. SKY - 1st, 2nd down
5.
6. Hardik - Batting allrounder
7.
8. Jadeja- Spin all rounder
9.
10.
11. Bumrah - seamer

We have 3 candidates for 2nd opener ( Rahul-Gill- Kishan). Competition is tough for number 5th slot and Shreyas Iyer is lagging atm because he's vulnerable against short ball, everyone seems to exploit his weakness so his chances looks slim to me. Even Pant is lagging in modern T-20 but management is backing him. Hard to fit everyone in playing XI.

We have many bowlers so this would be very tough. I think they will opt for Seam allrounders like Chahar, Harshal Patel etc so that they can bat deep.

What happened to the leg spinners? I thought India was going to be very interested in the leg spinners because they had very good success with them. Chahal and Kuldeep had successful careers. And leg spinners are always going to be very effective and essential for T20 cricket. I still expect them to be in the squad.

I just can't imagine India stepping into the T20 world cup without any leg spinners in the squad. And I am going to be really surprised if Virat Kohli is in the squad. He should be dropped from the team right now.
If he keeps getting out cheaply then there may be some chance, having said that every team need at least 1 accumulator in the team and Virat is experienced candidate in this regard. Management also believe that they can build team around him, like keeping guys like SKY, Hardik, DK, Jadeja etc as they all are power hitters.

Chahal is front runner for Leggie spot and 99% chances are that he's going to play. Kuldeep was struggling with his form but he looks okay now, although i think he got injured recently that's why he didn't get any chance in recent series. Another exciting guy is Ravi Bishnoi but again hard to fit everyone

It would be right to say, Suryakumar Yadav Indian's most flexible T20 hitter right now? After playing 22nd match Suryakumar take the second position at T20 ranking. Another revolution of Indian cricket, illustration of classic and aggressive batting. No doubt talented player, still he needs to demonstrate more. There are many expresses that with only one great inning, he received sky touching praises. He shouldn't really mind those discussions, however need more consistency to hold that status. If he played every match consistent then certainly he will be a dangerous player.
T20 cricket is very much uncertain, just an example for you to understand that if a batter perform in a given day their is no guarantee that he will perform to his best in the next match. Surya Kumar is a good batter but there is a lot of competition within the peer group. Rishab Panth, Shreyas Iyer and Hooda are also very good batters. You can not conclude to based on T20 ICC rankings. If he is unable to play or score for few matches he will then lose his position.

I agree with you. The Indian board now has a lot of talented players. And batsmen need to play better than bowlers in the T20 format. So if a batsman is not able to perform well in a few matches consistently then the management will definitely look for his alternative. Moreover, India now has many options. So if any player is not able to play consistently well then it is not possible to stay with the squad in the T20 format.

I don't want to congratulate the Netherlands team. The Netherlands team is comparatively less strong than New Zealand, we know that. But the Netherlands should have won by batting only for 149 runs. Their performance was poor from the beginning of the innings. The Netherlands lost three wickets for just 15 runs. Netherlands could have won this match if the batsmen could bat a bit more responsibly. Although there are several talented players in the Netherlands, they are not interested in playing for the national team. The Netherlands board should increase the opportunities for the national team players. As a result, players are more interested in playing for the national team.
That's your personal opinion. There is always difference between a team positioned 6th and 17th at the ICC T20 rankings. A match in which the result have come closer makes the cricket fans support Netherlands for their performance. As mentioned very few players have contributed good, which shows the lack of experience. In the coming games this can help them to improve their performance.

Despite the fact that small teams could not finish the race against pig-4 sides, high tier teams always survive because they have the experience to handle such challenges. Due to their lack of experience, low tier teams will not be able to survive. However, Netherlands put up a good fight. In terms of play, Netherlands did well. I believe their loss was caused by a lack of experience. Nevertheless, it was a good learning experience for the Netherlands. Continuing to play brave cricket will help Ireland and the Netherlands be a good team soon.

Right now the match is against Netherland. New Zealand have made a low target, now with the bowling power New Zealand have taken control and it is nearing the win. New Zealand lost 7 wickets scoring 148 runs. Netherlands have scored 126 runs in 19 overs losing 9 wickets. These days almost every match played between the top team and the low bottom teams are ending the result closely.
A great opportunity for the Netherlands was missed today. Although they came very close to the victory, but they did not win. They lost due to their wicket crisis towards the end. Although Netherlands lost the by 16 runs but it was a competitive match between the two. Tomorrow we will enjoy another T20 match of them.

Netherlands is a weaker team as compare to the NewZealand. I don't see Netherlands can win any match against them.

Also, i fail to understand why ICC makes such series like New Zealand tour of Netherlands when there is no comparison between the two teams.
Yes, Netherlands being a weaker team should visit NewZealand but i don't understand why NewZealand will want to visit non cricket playing countries like the Netherlands  Huh

Netherland V New Zealand

New Zealand batting after winning the toss against the Netherlands. They collect 25 runs in 5 overs and lose the wicket of Finn Allen. The Netherlands is a weak opponent. Since New Zealand has decided to bat, New Zealand should be given a target of 200+ today. However, I think New Zealand's victory is certain if they can give a target of more than 170.
Is the pitch a bowling friendly pitch? I'm not sure. But New Zealand's batting looks like they are having a lot of trouble scoring runs. New Zealand collected only 73 runs in 12 overs. They should have kept the run rate at least around 8 in the 20 over match. A target of less than 160 will make it difficult to win this match.

New Zealand set a target of 149 runs. New Zealand's batting was very bad today. They collected 22 runs in the 17th over and 20 runs in the 19th over. Besides, New Zealand players could not collect more than 10 runs in any over. Netherlands' batting line-up is not strong. So New Zealand still has a chance to win. But if Netherlands' top order plays well, they will be able to defeat New Zealand.
As we all know Ireland is a very underpowered team in cricket. But since the game is T20, which team is good and which team is bad cannot be said in advance. But we have seen Ireland perform very well on their home soil in recent days especially in T20 cricket. So I think Ireland's T20 match with New Zealand will be a tight fight.
Right now the match is against Netherland. New Zealand have made a low target, now with the bowling power New Zealand have taken control and it is nearing the win.
