I was expecting 190+ score when India opted to bat, had a bet which i lost.

Pandya doesn't seems same batter to me anymore, he looks quite vulnerable nowadays. He's even not performing with the bowling, well no one expected that much from him anyway. Lankans has a fine chance of winnig this game if they can hold their opening wickets.

What an outstanding performance by Bangladeshi Batsmen. This team is too much unpredictable. Although Zimbabwe's bowling lineup is weak, I never imagined Bangladesh could win by batting for 194 runs. Because if the Bangladesh team goes to bat for too many runs, their top order batsmen get out very quickly. I'm used to seeing that. Young players Shamim Hossain and Soumya Sarker played great.
Both Sarkar and Shamim played crucial roles in the chasing of a series victory. Shamim came to bat under pressure and completely destroyed Zimbabwe. Shamim Hossain finishes off with style! But the way Soumya Sarker batted and bowled here may turn out to be the blessing for Bangladesh in T-20 series.

You cannot complain the bowlers, the pitch was not giving any assistance and you cannot expect any wonders from a flat pitch made for batsman, Zimbabwe scored 193 runs and the Bangladesh bowlers were at the receiving end and you could only slow down the run score by mixing up slower deliveries and i thought Zimbabwe would win the match because Bangladesh lost the earlier match with a much lower score to chase but Bangladesh played well in this match chasing a huge total.

I understand that the pitch was offering hardly any support for the bowlers. But the way Zimbabweans bowled as appalling. I was watching the match live, and I was horrified when Wellington Masakadza gave away that wide, which went for a boundary. Then the captain made a mistake by not asking Blessing Muzarabani to bowl earlier. The Zimbabweans gave away too many wasteful runs. For them, this was a golden opportunity to get a series win. Now they need to wait for a couple of years to get another chance.

Prithvi Shaw went for a golden duck and it is sad to see that he is struggling against swinging deliveries at the start of the innings, hopefully Sanju Samson will make use of this opportunity and make a huge impact so that he gets a place in the upcoming T20I World Cup squad because the competition is getting tough as there are many talents waiting for a chance to perform and my bet is on India to win.

Another high scoring match, and winning opportunity for the Zimbabwe in the T20 series. Bangladesh always trouble to chase a big total, they were lost second T20 in the same way. Looks like BAN won't repeat the same story, very close to defeat the total.

BAN 181/4, Bangladesh need 13 runs in 12 balls!

Pathetic performance from the Zimbabwe bowlers. Now Bangladesh need just 7 runs in 9 balls. Once again poor captaincy from Zimbabwe. Similar to what happened in the first T20 match, their best bowler was brought in after it was all over. If he had bowled the 18th over instead of Dion Myers, then Zimbabwe had a chance. Myers conceded 15 runs from his over and destroyed the chances of Zimbabwe with that. Blessing Muzarabani picked up a wicket (Mahmudullah) in the 19th over, but by now it is all over.

Bangladesh won the series and it was not convincing as per my views. They were struggling but as I said earlier Zimbabwe is an ameature team, considering they were playing with a professional team like Bangladesh. Bangladesh needs to work hard on their bowling and fielding, If not then they will become a team like SA and SL.

Another interesting game today between SL and IND. I am eagerly awaiting to see, how this Indian B team performs against the SL A team. This will be a good contest considering the upcoming T20 Worldcup.

Today is the last match of this T20 series and the decider, Zimbabwe has scored 193/5 in 20 overs. I would consider it to be a good score considering Zimbabwe's batting. The highest scorer for Zimbabwe was Wesley Madhevere, he scored 54. I do not think it will be difficult for Bangladesh to chase this target. At the moment they are comfortably batting at 15/0.

This is perhaps the best performance by Zimbabwe in the series so far. And this time, they were not overdependent on any one batsmen. Almost everyone contributed, including Wessley Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Regis Chakabva, Dion Myers and Ryan Burl. And they started well with the bowling, as the ever reliable Blessing Muzarabani once again picked up a wicket in his very first over. The required run rate is now more than 10 runs per over. This is a golden chance for Zimbabwe to get a rare series win against one of the full member nations.

Update 2: Shamim Hossain made it easy, and BAN get the T20 series 2-1.

Losing the second T20 match against a team that hardly gets a chance to play international cricket can be very demoralising. Indeed Zimbabwe was in control of the match from the beginning and it can be possible that they repeat the same performance in the third T20 match. It would be interesting to watch the last match as it would be the decider for the series.

I wouldn't say that Zimbabwe hardly gets chance to play international cricket. They are part of the ODI World Cup Super League, and therefore they are assured of 24 ODI matches this cycle. T20 matches are normally included along with the ODI tours. However, in test cricket they play fewer matches because they are not a part of the first division. On top of that, their players such as Blessing Muzarabani have taken part in county cricket recently.
Brendan Taylor has represented a number of franchises, apart from representing Nottinghamshire in county cricket.

My comparison was with Bangladesh. The number of games Bangladesh plays with A list teams if we compare it with the number of games Zimbabwe plays then Bangladesh will have the upper hand. I always felt that the Zimbabwe team lacks experience, they have good players who lack a lot of international exposure. If they are allowed to play more matches with A teams, they will gain more experience and improve their overall performance. Since countries like Zimbabwe do not generate a lot of revenue for ICC therefore they are left behind.

Well upsets do happen and they are more often in the T20 matches. If does not matter if a weaker team win a match in a competition / series. A weaker team can show good performance on a given day and it could be a bad day for the stronger team like Bangladesh.  The problem only arises if the weaker teams wins the series which is unlikely to happen here.

We have already discussed about this multiple times over the past few years. The problem with Zimbabwe is not that they lack talent. The real issue is that the skilled players don't remain in the team for long, due to political uncertainty and low wages. Historically, the Zimbabwe team has been dependent on the white players, although the population of whites in that country has fallen from 200,000 to 30,000 in the last three decades. Even now, they are over-dependent on players such as Brendan Taylor, Ryan Burl and Sean Williams. Now it needs to be seen whether these people have a real commitment towards a country, that has almost exterminated their ethnic group.

There are enough black players in the domestic tournaments, but these tournaments don't have the required quality. Especially in the batting department, Zimbabwe has struggled to groom enough black players. Trevor Madondo was the first quality black Zimbabwean batsmen, but unfortunately he passed away in 2001 at the age of 24. Then Tatenda Taibu impressed a lot of people with his batting skills. But he retired at the age of 29, when his form was at his peak. The reason given was that he considered cricket as against his Christian faith.

In T20 anything is possible, even if one or two players perform well then they will win the match and that is how Zimbabwe won the match against Bangladesh and one slip up can change the course of the match, Zimbabwe scored a decent total and Bangladesh failed to create partnership and you can call it demoralizing because Zimbabwe was a heavy underdog and i am sure many would have lost their bet.

And today Zimbabwe won the match by 23 runs, i thought Bangladesh could win the match but they lost their momentum as Zimbabwe was able to pick wickets at regular interval and i would like to know the odds for Zimbabwe before the match started because i am certain that the odds were big as everyone expected Bangladesh to win the match if they got a good start.

This time the Zimbabwe batsmen managed to put up a decent score, thanks to the innings from Wessley Madhevere at the top, and then Ryan Burl and Dion Myers towards the end. That gave the bowlers something to defend (for the first time in the series). And Blessing Muzarabani as expected wrecked the Bangladesh top order with two wickets in his very first over. And after that, Wellington Masakadza picked up two wickets in his first over (including the crucial wicket of Shakib al Hasan) and for Bangladesh it was all over at this point.

Its a first win for Zimbabwe  after the loss in the ODI's and first T20 match. This should be refreshing for the Zimbabwe team. They should now try to win the final T20 and win the series, although it will be a difficult task. Bangladesh are favorites and more stronger in the series.
Madhevere played a very good innings of 73 which helped Zimbabwe achieve the fighting score.
Wessley Madhevere played well for Zimbabwe and you cannot expect consistent performance by them, Bangladesh had an off day and they lost the match and if Zimbabwe can play the same level of cricket they can compete with Bangladesh in the shorter format but it all depends upon how they counter their spinners.

Pakistan to visit West Indies and play 5 T20 matches. Although they have lost the series badly in England, i think they may perform a little better as conditions will be different from England.
West Indies is a strong team in T20 and hopefully it will be a competitive one because Pakistan can deliver once in a while  Grin.

Zimbabwe's batsmen performed well enough in the second ODI. 298 runs was not an easy collection. Zimbabwe lost only because of poor bowling. In yesterday's match, Bangladesh's top order batsmen could not cooperate with the team so Bangladesh lost. Basically, the performance of the players of both Bangladesh and Zimbabwe is irregular.
