KKR's spot is not secure. If you check the points table, then you can see that both the Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians have the same number of points. But the advantage for Kolkata Knight Riders here is that their next match is against a weak Punjab Kings, while the Mumbai Indians need to take on one of the strongest teams in the tournament (Delhi Capitals).

In order for Mi to win, both MI and Punjab have to make a miracle. Mi has to win against a strong DC and Punjab has to win against KKR. Even if MI wins against DC, I feel that it is highly unlikely that Punjab will win against KKR unless a huge miracle takes place. It's just that Punjab doesn't have those quality players compared to that of KKR. So I'm guessing, maybe KKR will qualify instead of the defending champions MI.

For a change i would like to see Mumbai Indians missing out the qualifying spot this time around, they usually hit the right form at the right time in all the previous editions but this time around they are struggling to stay afloat because of the inconsistency by their batsman, they still have a good bowling line up and if their batsman can perform well at the right moment they can still posses a challenge for every other team.

As I mentioned, my early bet on MI to win this is still mathematically alive so I have to think positive but I fear you are correct. Even if MI make it to the QFs (which they still need big favors from KKR and RCB to lose). But they also have to do their job first and if they can beat DC, then everything changes. I don't think it happens however.

Maxwell's poor form was always one of the concerns for the RCB. But his performance in this season has been quite good. Now Srikar Bharat has also cemented his place and their top-5 is extremely strong (Kohli, Devdutt, Bharat, Maxwell and de Villiers). And as far as bowling is concerned, they have the perfect combination of Chahal-Siraj-Harshal-Jamieson. The playoff spot is almost guaranteed for RCB, but it needs to be seen whether they will be able to win the trophy this time (will be a big relief for the captain).

The way in which he batted in the last match was incredible and in this match, i thought the match will go to the last overs but Glenn Maxwell had other plans as he took on Morris and scored 22 runs in the 17th over and then ABD finished off the match in the very next ball. Srikar Bharat played an amazing innings and took the match away from RR. For the Rajasthan Royals, all the bowlers except Mustafizur Rahman looked out of form. Chris Morris is looking clueless ever since the UAE leg started. Today was another forgettable day for him, and conceded 50 runs from his 4 overs without a wicket. Hard to believe that this guy was purchased for a record amount of $2.3 million during the auctions. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match quite comfortably, with almost 3 overs to spare.
